WORD FOR TODAY
Bad times in the lifetime of a man will not but come as a time of character development, chastisement and the time of test. When times are bad be mindful of the fact that God is the God of all times!!!

In life we cannot but experience bad times. Every man created by God will have a share of his own ordeal in the land of the living. It is not a function of whether you are a believer or not, a sinner or a saint. In this life there will be several evil days. When they come do not consider it strange but seek the Lord for help to have a breakthrough in those times.

The word of the Lord makes it clear to us that everything works together for the good of those called according to His purpose (Rom 8:28). If you are doing the will of God and not living in disobedience bad times are instrument meant to shapen your life into the intended purpose of God. When bad times comes; they will roll away when the purpose of God is achieved. Hence, we must try as much as possible to cooperate with God in all situation we find ourselves to bring out the good out of our lives.

In the journey of destiny, it is in the plan of God that we should spend most of our days experiencing good times. With your experiences so far in life, you can testify to the fact that God has been so good to you and His goodness and mercy has brought many good times to you on the pathway of destiny. However, those good times comes as opportunities of good fortunes and at the same time as a test before you.

There are men who left every good things they do for God and their personal lives at the reception of good times. They were carried away by comfort of good times and had no time to fortify their lives with prayers and the word of God. It is very much easy for good times to turn to bad times than bad turning to good. Don't be eaten up by the fact that things are working well for you; when times are good, it is a time to be more at alert, careful, dedicated to prayer and word of God to sustain your opportunities.

No matter the experience you have had so far in destiny the fact still remains that God has a plan for every situation in the affairs of this life. Things will not continue to be the way it is because God is about to do something great. Even if we don't know how He will do it; God will reveal Himself as the Almighty and do His great pleasure with the life of his people.

What the Lord will do is not a matter of whether you believe it or not because alot of things in His mind for us and our nation has not entered into our minds (Isa 64:4). Whatever the case the situation of your life appears to be; hope for the best for your life, church and nation because what the Lord will do; ears of everyone who hears it will tingle!

Focus: A Labourer or Hireling in God's Service

WORD FOR TODAY
The fact that every man created by God is created for service makes it a misplacement of priority to think of what you will get for serving the Lord. If God is truly your Father His business is your business and you are a co-labourer in His service!!!

There are two category of people in the service of God; the Labourer and the Hireling. Hireling is a labourer employed on hire for a limited time; the basis of his service is for money or other compensation. A Hireling can be anyone in as much as their primary agenda is what they will eat or get and not for the kingdom advancement.

Each time you see a man waiting to receive stipends after using his God given gift in the service of the Lord you have seen an hireling. When a man gives his life to God, the implication is that his life and everything attached to his life is no longer his but the Lords.

Every true child of God is a labourer in His kingdom. Our money, intellect, houses, cars, position, children, titles, dreams, ambition, career etc; belongs to God the giver of life and all things of life.

All men who missed it in destiny and fail in God's purpose missed it when their priority becomes what they will get or eat doing the work of God (eg Gehazi). You are not fulfilled until your existence becomes an asset to God's service. Serve the Lord wholeheartedly for your labour in Him is not in vain.

There is no height a man can reach in life that can be considered too big to serve God. I have never seen a man who is too big to fall sick, to be dissapointed, to cry, to die. There is no retirement in the service of the Lord our God. The day you stop serving God that day you stop receiving the reward involved.

No service of God is acceptable to Him without humility. You must always consider yourself fortunate and privileged to be a partaker in His business. God does not know who is a Doctor, Lawyer, Judge, General Overseer, Professor, Banker, the Rich or the Poor. He only knows labourers in the kingdom; those who are filling the gap to ensure that His purpose is established.

As the Lord is blessing and increasing you in every facet of life be more humble, don't stop doing what you used to do for God. Don't be too big to associate with men the people of the world consider to be of low estate. Be mindful of the fact that you will only be rewarded for what you do for God sacrificially and with humility of heart.

You are required to strive to meet up with God's expectation as far as believing Him is concerned and never expect Him to come to your level. There is no problem unsolvable for God and there is no limit to what he can do in the lives of those who trust in Him.

Any kind of suggession that there is help elsewhere apart from God is not of Him. He can handle the situation of our lives, church and nation. His thought for us is far above what we are thinking and even the prayers we offer to Him. Let's cooperate with Him to do His good pleasure in our lives.

Where we are today; is a product of our collective choice. We make choice not because of today but because there is a tommorrow. The wrong choice we've made so far can be corrected by making a better choice according to God's will for us.

The message of the Lord to us at this very point in time is to choose life. It is only when you choose life that you have the right to live and your descendants. It is time to redefine our experiences and cooperate with God to make our nation great again. Do not fold your arm to watch people choose for you, be part of the process and the Lord will bless you!

No matter how wonderful a moment appears to be in a business, relationship, government, tenure, post, Career etc it will surely pass away. Jesus said: I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. (John 9:4).

As we proceed in destiny we advance towards the grave; the people we use to see will not be available. The support we use to enjoy may not be there. The influence we used to have will no longer be effective. It is a total act of deception for a man to think that things will continue the way it is. Hence, do with all your might whatever good things according to the will of God you know how to do before the night shade falls.

At every critical junction of temptation always remember that you have come to choose between the plan of God for your life and the enterprise of the devil. Be mindful of the fact that a choice towards the will of God is life otherwise death.

Joseph refused to cooperate with the devil who sought to ensure that his dreams became aborted. The same devil will disguise and come your way in the name of love with several wonderful gift just to ensure that you sin against God. You will identify him by his demands which will be characterised by unrighteousness that leads to sin. Do not cooperate with him to sin against your dreams.

There are people who thought investing one's entire life to seek God is a total waste of time and life. Those who saw Abraham leave his father house at 75 years old may be wondering what he would get from such action. Today, every man desire the blessing of Abraham. An eternal blessing which emanates from seeking God. It is in seeking God that you can find peace, contentment and prosperity.

This is because there are people who have never heard the gospel or even know, pray or believe in the existence of God that have these in abundance.

Abraham in the midst of all challenges in his life God offered him Himself. With God as His reward he became an epitome of both physical and eternal blessing. You remain a failure in destiny irrespective of what you think you have until God becomes your exceedingly great reward.

What a man stands to gain or get each time he commits sin is death. When the enemy is set to destroy a life they ensure that there is a break in the relationship between such a life and God through sin. Whatever benefit you think you are getting through sin is a poison to your destiny and the plan of God for your life.

Have you at any time wondered why a high personality like the wife of Portiphar had interest in the life of a slave like Joseph. She is meant to be a poison that will lead to the death of Joseph's dream and mandate. David had a wonderful record until he destroyed it on the altar of adultery and murder. This singular action cost him alot of sorrow till his old age.

The enemies of your destiny can go to sleep once there is still sin in your life. Sin in what ever form it takes in the life of a man leads to death. Hence, the most important deliverance from sin is to confess and repent from them. Prosperity becomes a curse for any man who chooses to live in sin.

Your body is the vehicle conveying you to your destination in destiny. The ultimate desire of God for you is that you experience prosperity in three critical aspect of life: Physical or material prosperity, Spiritual prosperity and prosperity in terms of good health.

Despite the fact that you need self denial in terms of discipline and putting your body into subjection to fulfill your mandate in life; the fact still remains that you must cooperate with every natural law that supports good health.

One of the most important ways your life can be useful to God is to stay healthy. Taking care of your body is an important aspect of your service to God. There are several men with promising future whose dream and aspiration for God and their individual life were cutoff due to the manner they handled their body.

Take a rest and sleep when you should, give yourself to exercise, keep your environment clean, eat good food and treat any ailment in your body. Learn how to retreat periodically from your daily routine activities. You can only enjoy the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living when you are healthy!

You are a lover and a follower of what is good if your pursuit in life is the will of God. Evil men will not but always want to perform their evil enterprise in the lives of men. However, every man must be mindful of the fact that seeking that which is good is a sure way to becoming safe from the evil work of the enemy.

The brother of Joseph hated him so much and planned to harm him but Joseph loved them and sought for their welfare. Hence, their evil act against him worked out the plan of God for his life. Similarly, King Saul sought to kill David using every possible means but the Lord kept him safe. When David had the opportunity to pay King Saul in his own coin; instead of killing him, He considered the word of God and did not lay his hands on God's anointed.

Irrespective of your experience with men and what they have done to you; be a lover and follower of what is good come what may. You can only overcome evil with good.

The life of Joseph reveals the fact there is an opposition to every good dream and they will not be fulfilled on the platter of gold; the only way to sustain and bring dreams to pass is absolute obedience to God's principle. If there is anything contending with your time, service and consecration it is mammon. It is the reason why many people are living with guilt. Mammon is the reason why many do not have option but to abandon the will of God as far as the job they do, where they live, the person they marry, the type of church they attend, the calibre of their friends and the manner they approach things.

Mammon in some cases is the major reason behind some activities that looks spiritual. It is possible to pray, sing, preach, teach, prophesy and go on visitation in the name of God just for mammon. Take heed of yourself and ensure that mammon does not dictate the tune of your life. Do not serve money in the name of serving God. The Almighty God will never share His glory with anyone. Surrender your life and make it available to do the will of God.

Naomi's family left Bethlehem for the land of Moab because of famine. But after something when something worse happened to them; the new of God's mercy over His people came to them in the land of Moab. The brothers of Joseph took the bad news of the evil they did to Jacob. As the Lord will have it they were the same set of people who took the news of God's mercy and glory to their father. It doesn't sound well to say victory in defeat. However, there is no doubt in the fact that defeat is not a palatable experience but it can be regarded atimes as victory if the situation will work out the purpose of God.

When Joseph was sold into slavery the whole situation to him will sound as if he was defeated but in the actual sense it was a victory as far as his mandate was concerned. When the Pharisees ganged up against Jesus to ensure His crucification; it looked as if they had silenced Him but they actually established His Lordship over all mankind.

There is atleast something to learn in every bad experience. Various set back in life can set your life on the right course. If you are living to please God and you have no issue walking in disobedience; then whatever happens to you even if it looks like defeat, it is victory for you.

Focus: A Time of Expression

When it comes to the time a man is expected to fulfill his mandate he is expected to express himself to show what he is made up of. Your expression in the time of manifestation defines your greatness in destiny!!!

The greatest evil that can happen to a man is for him to be unavailable in
the time of expression. The Lord commanded Elijah to show himself in a bid to put an end to famine (1King 18:1-40). Also, when the time came for God to deliver the Israelites from slavery in Egypt; Moses had to show up to fulfill his mandate despite the fact that Pharaoh sought to kill him prior the time (Exo 5:1-12).

Queen Vashti lost out in destiny when she refused to express herself at a time that mattered most. The expression of David calmed the nerves of the Israelites after Goliath subjected them to severe oppression for 40 days. All the investment of God over your life is waiting for the day of expression. Each time there is a need for you to fulfill your mandate; you are not expected to hide or flee but to express the glory of God in your life.

Focus: A time to Run to Battle

WORD FOR TODAY
Despite the fact that there is time to hide and flee, the fact still remains that there is a time in the life of a man when he is expected to confront the battle against him. A time to run to battle is a time to rebuke the enemy and every agent of darkness!!!

There are times in the lifetime of a man that he will continue to be oppressed by the enemy if he does not confront the battle against him. When you discover that you are subjected to oppression it is not a time to hide or flee but a time to run to battle and rebuke your oppressors.

Goliath oppressed the Israelites both day and night for forty days because there was no one to confront him. He would have oppressed them even the more if not for David that silenced him by the power of God. Also, if David had resolved not to chase the Amalekites when they took his family away as captives; he would have not recovered them and all that was taken from him.

The devil will only flee from you if you resist him and submit absolutely to God (Jam 4:7). In the battle of life you must not be a coward, you must understand when to be offensive and defensive. The evil one will never give up in the business of oppression; we must be proactive each time the oppressors want to perform their enterprise.
