Focus: What to Flee From

WORD FOR TODAY
You will only have an understanding of when to flee if and only if you know what to flee from. You must flee from whatever can hinder the plan of God and the fulfillment of your mandate in destiny!!!

Despite the fact that there is a need to understand when to flee; we are not expected to life as cowards. However, fleeing sometimes represents a special wisdom required to safeguard the mandate of a man. When Herod aimed to destroy Jesus at birth, God through His angel commanded that He should be taken to Egypt.

You are expected to flee from:
�Sin and what will annoy God
�Dishonouring God (1Sam 2:30)
�Robbing God (Mal 3:8-11)
�Youthful Lust (1Cor 6:18)
�Inordinate Ambition to be Rich (1Tim 6:9-11)
�Wickedness of men like in the case of David, Elijah and Jesus.
�Whatever God will not permit you to do even if it appears good.

The knowledge Joseph had about God and His principles made him to flee from Potiphar's wife; this singular act paved way to the fulfillment of His mandate.

Focus: A Time to Flee

WORD FOR TODAY
In destiny, there are times in the life of a man when he is expected to flee. Many have lost their lives because they did not understand the time to flee even when there are angels to save and God is their refuge!!!

There are times in destiny when hiding is not sufficient but you are required to flee. There is an adage by men of old that a warrior who knows how to run from a battle will live to fight another day. You are not expected to confront all battles of life; sometimes you retreat and flee.

The powerful King David whom the women sang that he slew 10000; a record which superceded that of King Saul, fled from his palace when he sensed that Absalom will cause a great havoc. David also fled from Saul on many occasions (1Sam 19:1-12).

Moses fled when he discovered that Pharaoh would kill because he killed an Egyptian. Jacob fled when Esau vowed to kill him(Gen 27:41-45). A powerful Prophet Elijah who made a decree and there was no rain for three and half years ran from Jezebel. If the sun of a man will not set at the midday, he must know and understand when to flee. Be wise!

Focus: A Time to Hide

WORD FOR TODAY
The destiny of a man who exposes or makes a presentation of himself at a time when he should hide may likely be cut off. You must understand as you proceed in destiny, that there are times in the lifetime of a man when he is expected to hide!!!

"A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself, But the simple pass on and are punished." (Proverb 22:3 NKJV)

Men by nature will not but always want to express themselves to prove to other men that they are relevant. You are not expected to show case yourself all the time in all situation; wisdom demands that you you hide and isolate yourself from the public to preserve your mandate.

When Moses was born they didn't bring him out for naming ceremony but rather they hid him because time demanded that they hide him. If Rahab didn't hide the spy when she did their mission will not be accomplished (Joshua 2:1-7).

As you proceed in destiny, you must trust God for wisdom to understand time. You must know when to hide. Hiding in this context is not an act of timidity but a strategy for securing your mandate. Again, hiding sometimes can save you from fighting unnecessary battles in life. Be prudent!

Focus: Ovation Before Manifestation

Several destinies have been aborted because their ovation preceded their manifestation. When you bring yourself out before the time of your manifestation comes, you may not last or the magnitude of God's plan for you may be cut short!!!

One thing you must understand as you proceed in destiny is that there is time for everything. Irrespective of the magnitude of God's plan and purpose for your life you must present yourself for incubation prior your manifestation. Proper incubation does not happen in the public and no man can grow effectively at the point of exposure.

The ordeal in the life of Joseph was as a result of the ovation of his dreams. God in a bid to preserve his mandate hid him, making his enemies to think they had triumph over him. Similar scenario played out when Jesus and Moses was born. Also, the problem David had was because of the ovation of his mandate when he defeated Goliath.

God helped these men to handle their ovation by sending them into hibernation by force to preserve their glory. When your glory comes to maturity its manifestation will happen naturally without any struggle. Several young men are being cut short in destiny because they were exposed before their manifestation; wait upon the Lord and grow in strength to bear the weight of God's glory in destiny. (Isa.40:30-31).

If you can sit down and have a critical evaluation of your life you will discover that the Lord has invested so much on you. His word has come to you on many occasions to teach, guide and lead you on the pathway of destiny. He has placed before you several open doors and uncommon favour to assist you in the fulfillment of your purpose and mandate in life.

In the event where many people lost their lives and precious things of life, you were preserved. There is no doubt in the fact that many great work has been done in your life. If all these is true about your life; can you really say that your life measures up to God's expectations for your life? Does your existence contribute meaningfully to God's purpose on earth? Are you free from sin despite the word of God you know? Will people serve God on the account of your service and lifestyle? How does your life appreciate the goodness of the Lord? Think about these!

From the text, the Lord gave us the opportunity to ask anything in His name. Hence, we are expected to pray always for everything and about all things. When things appear to be working well for us, we may be tempted to think that everything is fine and that much prayers are not needed. This is a deception of the enemy to find an operational field for their enterprise.

We are in the world of power; you must always hold the hands of God in prayer in every situation of your life. The inability to seek the face of God in prayer has caused many people needless pain in relationships, business, ministry, career and marriage.

No matter how beautiful, wonderful and powerful your life appears to be or the prospect you think your life has by the virtue of both human and material resources at your disposal; be mindful of the fact that you are not a man without weaknesses and some level of incapacitation as human. In the face of various troubles, trials, temptations, uncertainties of life and things which makes us sorrowful, let's hold the hands of God in prayer to avoid needless pains in every affairs of life!!!

As far as God is concerned the man who prayed through is the man who experience the fullness of joy. When you are praying over an issue and you have not gotten the desired result you have not prayed enough. Hence, you have not prayed until your joy is full.

Our text indicates that God wants us to keep praying over and over again. He wants us to believe in the fact that everything is possible with Him. Also, you should be ever mindful of the fact that His ultimate desire for us is that we should live joyfully in every facet of life.

The Lord answers all prayers. However, not all prayers will receive positive response from God; He responds to men according to His will, divine purpose and timing. When it seems as if your prayers are not answered then there is a need to pray more, believe more and expect more of His intervention.

Whatever God allows in the life of a man is for his good. Our experiences are meant to either chastise, correct, build or empower us. Hence no two men will have the same experience; it can only be similar.

Be mindful of the fact that there is something God wants to use your life to achieve in this generation. The life of the likes of Joseph, Abraham, David and Daniel passed certain messages to us based on their unique experiences.

Not all men can offer the type of Sacrifice Abel offered unto God. Not all men can be obedient to God the Father like Christ did, not all men can have the faith of Abraham, not all men can persevere and remain faithful to God like Job. These are the major reason a man's life should not be compared with others. We are created uniquely to fulfill unique purpose and the level of our walk with God differs.

But biblical history has proven to us that Jehovah has failed many times.

It failed when it sent flood to destroy the world because of sin because sin still exists. Duh

Then it went on to destroy everyone, including women and children, in Sodom and Gomorrah for alledged homosexuality even though it never batted an eyelid when Lot later banged both his daughters. I guess god has a favorite pornhub category after all

Now when you consider all the Christians in the world who suffer from poverty, disease and every evil the world has to offer despite praying to god daily for the same things over and over it is safe to say beyond reasonable doubt that Jehovah has failed woefully in it's responsibilities as the supreme leader of the universe.

In fact it is the original god of failure

God does not have any record of failure. the failure attributed to Him is the failure of men. With what you wrote here about God shows that you are a failure and when the consequence of your actions comes other people will still say why. It is men that know the will of God and do otherwise. God will help you and give you understanding. God never fails

All the terrible experiences coming your way is meant to teach your hands to make war so that you can have basic understanding of the fact that the world we are in is a battlefield. The tears of your eyes as a result of various issues of life is nothing to God if it will instill into you the required character and confidence you need to face the battle of life.

Hence, in this life; you may not have problem or be faced with opposition until you are set to make a remarkable effort to achieve some spectacular feat in destiny. When there is a quest for glory then you will be in for serious battle. You must prepare yourself to stand under God and face your challenges without wavering.

The devil will always wait for you at every critical junction of your life where you will get set to rise further in life. The chronicles of the heroes of faith reveals men who faced various dimensions of life battle. They quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, from weakness were made strong, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight (Heb 11:34). To fulfill purpose in the journey of destiny, you cannot experience less; prepare for War!

In the midst of various promises of God, a man can experience terrible disappointing situation of life that can affect his faith in the word of God. When it seems as if God has forsaken be mindful of the fact that He will never go back on His word; His word will surely come to pass.

Your experiences is part of what will constitute your testimony. Everything is working for you and working for your good. Though, sometimes it sound stupid in the occasion when things appear to be falling apart.

One thing you must be sure of as you proceed in destiny is that God is the one going before you and you are doing His will. When this is settled, you need not to worry but trust in His word and keep faith alive; by experience you will know that God never fails.

When a man claims that his walk with God in any dimension becomes burdensome and wearisome the yoke on him is not of God but of men. The yoke of the Lord is easy and his burden is light but not without sacrifice!!!

Irrespective of who you are, as long as you live on earth, you will be under a yoke and there is no yoke without it's peculiar burden. The call of salvation is meant to save us from various yoke of this life that will deprive us from fulfilling the purpose of God for our lives as well as those burdens that will slow us down in the journey of destiny.

The yoke of the Lord will only be difficult for those who cannot deny themselves, take up His Cross and follow Him. When you allow God to take the wheel of your life and follow Him as He leads you His yoke is the easiest.

However, there are some men who place burden on men in the name of God to make it look as if to serve God is burdensome. They present God as a beggar to exploit men of their resources. Giving is part of your service to God's agenda on earth but not a do or die affair; it is necessary for your blessing. God remains God irrespective of who we are or what we have. He does not need a man to be God. Hence, His yoke is easy.

In every quest to reach your goals in life, you will not but always experience setbacks. Every setback is meant to keep you at the back against moving towards your goals. The only way to overcome every setback is to keep moving forward.

To keep moving forward in every facet of life is by choice. All men who became discouraged and stop moving on the pathway of destiny at a point in time took the decision to stop moving. No matter what happens, believe in your dreams and keep moving towards it's fulfillment.

Don’t let yesterday use up too much of today. Sometimes God closes some doors because it is time to move forward. He knows you won’t move unless your circumstances force you. You can’t start the next chapter of your life if you keep re-reading the last one. Don't bother about the setbacks on your way keep moving!

Focus: A Man Like Elijah

God in his attributes used ordinary people to do extraordinary things. The Lord can also use you to do extraordinary things if you make yourself available to do His good pleasure!!!

The Chronicler in 1 and 2 Kings records various feats that Elijah did like raising the dead, causing fire to come down from heaven, and ascending into heaven in a whirlwind. Despite all this feats the fact still remains that Elijah is a human with feelings and attributes like we do.

If God can use Elijah with all his weaknesses; he can also use you irrespective of your past, background and capability. You only need to know with God having your back; there is no impossibility in your pursuits.

Be mindful of the provision of God for your life through salvation. As you proceed in destiny always remember that whatever you decide to do will be accomplished, and light will shine on the road ahead of you. (Job 22:28 NLT). Also, Jesus said assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. (Matt18:18). Hence, submit yourself to God and allow Him to do great exploit through your life.

The essence of the gift of salvation to the entire human race is for us to find mercy and pardon for our wrong doings. Each time you sin you have not done what is strange as a human; it will only be strange if you continue to live in it despite the provision of salvation.

No matter what you think you have done or doing it is not hidden from God; He said in His word: "For My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from My face, nor is their iniquity concealed from My eyes. (Jer 16:17). Hence, you will be fooling yourself if you continue to cover your sins to live in guilt.

Each time you sin against God whatever you think you are does not matter what really matters at that point is confession. Hence, try to always honour God with your decisions and be mindful of the fact that the wages of sin is death. As long as there is a sin yet to be confessed in the life of a man he will keep dying until he is totally destroyed.

The God we serve is the Almighty God. He has no record of failure and His majesty has no match in the entire Universe. His Glory He will never share with any man and no man or any agent of darkness can stop Him from doing His good pleasure in the lives of men.

There are people who have intellect, wealth, knowledge, money, connection and influence; nevertheless, what they have doesn't give them the satisfaction they truly need nor save them from disgrace.

The likes of Abraham, Joseph, David and the three Hebrews looked upon Him; even though they were faced with several challenges but they were not disappointed. When you are faced with various issues of life, look upon Jesus and you will never be put to shame.

When you look critically at the happenings around you, it will be discovered that God has done so well for you. On the other hand, when you see men who have progressed in many aspects of life you may be tempted to think that the Lord is not fair enough to you. Every normal mortal will think in that manner.

However, in every situation and circumstances be mindful of the fact that the thought of the Lord over your life is not of evil but of peace that you may have an expected end . The fact that you are still living is a proof of His interest in your life and that your life is a work in progress in hands of the Lord. Believe in your dreams and God's promises for your life. Appreciate Him and move with great confidence in the Lord that He will perfect that which concerns you.

Sometimes, our experiences in various domains of life often make us doubt the efficacy and the reality of God's power most especially when it seems as if the ship of our lives appear to be drowning. Whatever the case may be; you must be strong and courageous. Allow Jesus to take the wheel of your life.

When Jesus takes the wheel, your life will be characterized with righteousness and holiness. You will be free from guilt that robs you of the required confidence to confront life's battle. The evil one will have no place to exhibit his enterprise in the affairs of your life. An assurance of a glorious future and fulfilment of God promises will be alive in your heart.

The true blessing and elevation God wants to give you will never come until you overcome unrighteousness. The word of the Lord makes it clear to us that Jesus loved righteousness and God anointed Him with the oil of gladness more than His companions (Heb 1:9). You must love righteousness and live righteously to be exalted of God.

It is an understatement to say that unrighteousness cannot bring physical gains to you. But only righteousness brings true exaltation. As you proceed in destiny, you will be faced with several test of unrighteousness before God can place into your hands what He proposed for your life and destiny.

The likes of Gehazi, Saul, Achan failed the test placed before them and yielded to unrighteousness. The height expected of them to reach in destiny was never known; they all became history in their life time. If your life will not become the shadow of itself and be what God wants you to be you must love righteousness and live righteously.

This is the only guarantee you have that your life and what you do is acceptable to God. Do not engage yourself in any wasted effort, because every effort put in place in the name of God born out of unrighteousness and selfishness is a wasted effort.

When you get busy for God you will not have time to please the devil and sinful desires. There will be no space for evil enterprise of the devil. The preacher said in Eccl 3:1 that there is time for everything and a time for every purpose under heaven. These times are summarized as good and bad times of life.

Live your entire life within the circumference of God's will and purpose for your life. Allow God to lead you in every situation you find yourself. In this year there will be situations that will appear like waters and fire but the Lord promised to be with you in whatever situation you find yourself.

Cooperate with God alone and give no room to the devil to perform his enterprise in your life. Honour God with your life and decisions and He will make you prosperous and bear the required fruit in its season (Ps 1:1-5).

His compassion over your life is not in vain but aimed at making you to experience the newness of life. The fact that you were able to see this new year signifies that there are several new things the Lord wants to show you and make you to experience by the virtue of His faithfulness. The Lord at a point told His disciples that they were going up to Jerusalem to fulfill what was said about Him. This was coming after he had performed several miracles in fulfillment of His mandate. Once you are still a living soul the Lord is very much interested in your life.

As you proceed into the new year you must be mindful of the fact that your life is a work in progress in the hands of the Lord. The promises of the Lord over your life will surely come to pass. In life we cannot but deal with people at different level of life. However, the people you relate with can either make or mar your life, cause you much damage and make you run at loss. Identifying the Jonah in your life and relationship is critical to your peace and fulfillment as you proceed in destiny. 

In the book of Jonah we saw people loosing their belongings because they boarded a ship with a man who was running away from God's assignment. Jonah is regarded as anything that will not obey or submit to God's will. Whatever goes along with you in destiny and causes you to sin against God is a Jonah. It is everything that disrupt the ship of your life to hinder your progress academically, maritally, spiritually etc. 

You can't afford to be out of God's favour or face his resistance as you proceed further in life. Examine yourself and pinpoint the Jonah in your life and offload them. When it comes to the issue of Jonah in anyone's life under God, the only solution is offloading.

Portiphar could not believe that Joseph would become the Prime Minister of Egypt when he was a slave in his house. His brothers could not believe what they saw when he made himself known to them. No matter how rich and famous you think you are; life can make you to become the shadow of what you were, and at the same time you can grow and increase bountifully.

Irrespective of your status at present know that you are a man of the future. Respect, love and honour men at your disposal because there is a measure of God in them. Those who look down on people God brought their ways ended up falling from grace. Be mindful that you will only scale through various hurdles of life if God is still having your back.

When God wants to favour a man, He motivate men to favour and support him. You must be mindful of the fact that there is a role men will play in a buildup to become what you want to be in life. Hence, you must take pleasure in giving honour to men irrespective of their status and appearance because there is a measure of God in the life of every man created by God.

Men by their nature will always want to be praised and honoured. Despite the fact that you should not seek the honour of men you must live to accord to men the honour due to them. However, what you must never do is to dishonour God while honouring men.

If you must not fail in various aspect of life, you must be humble enough to give men the honour due to them.
Never say there is nothing men can do to you; they can do and undo if you fail to obey this principle. To be well with you and live the fullness of your days you must honour your parents (Eph 6:1-3). The hallmark of a true child of God is that they honour God in the lives of men.

What we do for a living gives us the best platform to meet people and render services that meet their needs. Hence, the Lord is expecting us to use what we do and what we have to affect lives. Despite the fact that we need money to cater for our needs through what we do, it must not always be about money; see yourself as a minister of God.

The car of a man suddenly broke down on a Monday morning while going to work, the Police instead of helping him out of the problem chained the car and charged him for allowing his car to break down. There are some hospitals that will never perform any treatment on patients until they pay their bills no matter how critical the condition of such patient is. Be mindful of the fact that humanity comes first in whatever you do.

A doctor have been trying to treat one of his patients of a sickness but yielded no positive result. He resolved to praying with the patient to seek God's intervention and succeeded. The lives of men and their future is entrusted into your hands; render your services to them as unto the Lord irrespective of your profession.

In this life, when we experience terrible situation, we tend to ask "why me?" but most times, we may care not to ask the same question when life smiles at us by the virtue of the privilege given to us by God in various aspect of life. After the fall of man in the beginning; the only right man has is death. Every other thing will come by privilege.

Mary remembered that she was just a maidservant in lowly state given the privilege to be the mother of the Saviour. She didn't take it for granted but magnified the Lord. Have you at any time considered the mercy of God that made you a believer despite the atrocities you have committed so far in life?

The news of the evil happenings around you did not happen to you because the Lord did not allow it. Have you ever thought and asked yourself why not you? Your life is just a product of privilege and grace. Do not take the love of God towards your life for granted. Appreciate God for the privileges you have in the journey of destiny.

The goodwill of God towards you is that you should not continue to live in sin and under the influence of satanic manipulation. It is for you to live a life that is free from guilt. Also, it is for you to reveal the Glory of God through the expression of the life of Christ.
