The turning point in the life of Moses came when he responded to God by saying "Here I am". This response turned him from an ordinary shepherd leading sheep to an extraordinary man leading a nation. At this point, he walked into the plan of God for his life.

No matter how great the plan and purpose of God is for your life you must come to a point where you must make definite decision to come and respond to Him. What God wants to achieve in the life of a man will never be achieved until he presents himself to walk into the plan and purpose of God for his life.

Many people by the virtue of their short sightedness to spiritual issues and God's purpose see men who sacrificed their lives to fulfill the purpose of God as people who are wasting away. The only way to waste away is to live a life that has no eternal value. Make your existence count in the presence of the Lord by presenting and making yourself available for His use.

Many things will remain impossible until the Lord is involved. All the men used by God for His Glory in the time past, could never imagine the height the call of God took them. He used them despite the numerous shortcomings of their lives. However, the Lord was able to do His good pleasure in their lives because they responded to Him.

What the Lord requires to work out His glory in your life is your readiness and availability. If by experience you have written yourself off over some issues in your life; with God on your side great things can come out of your life.

If under God the mind of the rash will understand knowledge and have good judgment, and the tongue of the stammerers will speak readily and plainly then your weaknesses cannot stop the work of God in your life. Present yourself to God the way you are and He will bring out something good out of your Nazareth.

Focus: Wait For Your Isaac

WORD FOR TODAY
The Lord in His graciousness will surely fulfill His promises no matter how long it take. Your responsibility at every point in time is to wait for the fulfillment of God's promises!!!

"But God replied, "Sarah, your wife, will bear you a son. You will name him Isaac, and I will confirm my everlasting covenant with him and his descendants." (Genesis 17:19 NLT)

Your Isaac represents the promises of God to you at all levels of life. When God makes a promise; you can always trust Him in His word. However, His promises is subjected to the test of time. Hence, no matter how long it takes for his promises to come to fulfillment; wait for it. In the course of waiting, alternatives will be made available as we can see in the case of Abraham.

The best you can get from every offer presented as an alternative to God's original offer is Ishmael. Do not settle for Ishmael; If it is not Isaac it can never be Isaac. The covenant of God is with Isaac not Ishmael.

Ishmael can be presented to you in form of husband, wife, child, job, career, marriage, ministry and the likes. Do not settle for it no matter how wonderful it appears be. It is an evil in waiting. Hence, wait for your Isaac (the original plan and God's promises for your life).

Focus: Allow Your Ishmael to Die

WORD FOR TODAY
Every Ishmael still standing is an evil in waiting. When God offers a help to deal with it for you, don't hinder Him. Allow God to help you to correct your mistakes and shortcomings in every aspect of life!

"And Abraham said to God, "Oh, that Ishmael might live before You!". Then God said: "No, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his descendants after him." (Genesis 17:18-19 NKJV).

When Abraham accepted an offer to have an alternative to God's promises for his life what he got was Ishmael. The best you can get from every offer presented as an alternative to God's original offer is Ishmael. As far as God is concerned Ishmael must die. But Abraham pleaded that Ishmael should live. With this action; the entire wolrd is yet to recover.

Allow God to kill your Ishmael before it creates an unresolvable issue in your life. He is an omniscience God who knows the end from the beginning. Ishmael represents every work of the flesh in the life of a man. The verdict of God over every work of the flesh is that it must die.

When the Lord confronts you with issues that has to deal with your foundation do not hesitate to admit your shortcomings and submit to God's will by absolute repentance. This is because there is nothing the righteous will do over a faulty foundation. Give no room to excuses allow God to correct your mistakes.

The Lord right from ages past has made Himself available to be our guide in the journey of destiny. With various evidences around us we all know that this earth is not ours. Hence, we will all surely die and become like water spilled on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again (2Sam14:14).

If the destiny of a man will not fail he must allow God the author of man's destiny to guide him. The will of God you know and His word made available to you on daily basis is meant to make you run the journey of destiny successfully.

As we go on in life be mindful of the fact that the Lord is committed to guiding us, till we reach that blissful shore, where the angels wait to join us in praising God forevermore. In the midst of trials, temptation, strive, suffering, storms of life associated with this life never forget that God the author of life is your ultimate guide.

The primary essence of the coming of the Lord is to reveal to us how we should live. Living to please God by doing His will at all levels of life and in all situation is the summary of how we should live by the virtue of the life of Christ.

As we have seen through the scripture; Jesus lived His days on earth doing only the will of the Father alone and gave his best to establish His purpose for mankind. He did not achieve this without endurance and bearing the shame of the cross.

Many people have left the faith because they could no longer endure the hardship associated with this life and wait on the Lord. Also, many find it difficult to do the will of God because they cannot bear the shame associated to it. Just as it was for Jesus; there is a joy set before us. Let's keep our eyes on Him and walk in His steps to fulfill the will of God with our existence.

The ultimate strategy of the devil over every man in the journey of destiny is not to keep him out of the race but to distract him and ensure that he runs against the rule bearing the weight of sin. All issues that we are battling in our lives as humans are meant to validate our stand in the race of life.

As you proceed in destiny be mindful of the fact that you will roll up grades of trials, temptations and you will cross bridge of strife. You will find obstructions, storms of life and several issues associated with the human race on earth. Keep focus and keep moving towards the goal according to God's will for you.

We cannot but lay aside every weight and run with endurance the race set before us if we must reach the goal in the manner with which the cloud of witnesses (heroes of faith), who also had a share of their own ordeal in this life, did.

Life is a gift. Everything given to you by God does not come to you because it is your right but because He chooses to show you mercy. The summary of your life is that you are a product of grace and privilege. Hence, don't take for granted; guard the gift of God in your life with ultimate care.

If by God's grace the word of God is coming to you and it demands from you a definite response do not hesitate to respond in absolute obedience. It is posible for a man to hear the word of God a bit too late. There are times when repentance and restitution will be almost impossible. Now that various spiritual issues in your life is still within your control; respond to God accordingly.

If there be a virtue, habit and character that you must imbibe; give yourself to it while the grace is available. If there are issues that must be settled in your academics, marriage, career and ministry; settle it now that things have not gotten out of hand. If there be a child to train in the way of the Lord do not hesitate to do before the time of influence elapse. If there be a faulty foundation in any aspect of life settle it before it is too late to correct.

Right from the ages past, we have seen the faithfulness of God in the lives of His people who loved His name by living faithfully and righteously before Him. Hannah despite her childlessness never stopped attending Shiloh. When she presented her case before God; she received God's mercy (Samuel).

Zachariah continued serving God despite having an issue which could be regarded as hopeless. God performed miracle and a report of God's mercy was heard in his household. Daniel and the 3 Hebrews loved the Lord and were committed to Him. When evil men planned to destroy them the Lord rose on their behalf to show them mercy.

As a child of God, who loves and remains faithful to Him; you have every right to God's mercy. If there be any issue in your life call upon the Lord to look upon you and show you mercy.

Iniquity will have dominion in the life of every man who fails to submit to God's word. The work and the life of a man living contrary to God's word is regarded as inquity. Every word of God coming to you is meant to order your steps unto righteousness and shield your life from iniquity.

King Saul is not ignorant of the word of the Lord to him but chose to ignore it. If he had obeyed, his obedience would have saved him from losing his kingship. Achan knew he was not expected to take the accursed things but failed to allow the word of God to help him. This led to his death. When Joseph was tempted; he allowed the word of God to help him and preserve his mandate.

The Lord has been gracious enough to make His word available to you in every facet of life. You cannot deny the fact that you know the truth in the light of God's word. Allow the word of God to help you. This will help you to be who the Lord wants you to be. It is only when you allow the word of the Lord to be a lamp to your feet that is when your path will be illuminated.

The nature of man is a type that grows having expectation of a better life ahead. However, various experiences of life force men to give up on certain issues of life. God right from the ages past has proven himself to be a God who gives hope to the hopeless.

At a point Jacob mourned Joseph after he saw an undisputable evidence of his garment of many colours soaked in blood. He even resolved to mourn him till he goes to the grave. As God would have it, Joseph did not die and Jacob was able to see him and his children.

Your experience is not enough to change the mind of God over what he wants to achieve with your life. He is very interested in your testimony than the pains you have now. It is in your testimony that His name will be glorified. Keep on believing and trusting God; submit to Him to work out His good pleasure in your life even as you go on in life being mindful of the fact that He is God who gives hope to the hopeless.

There will only be light in your path in every facet of life when the word of God guides you. No matter how wonderful, peaceful and smooth what you are doing appears to be, you must be sure that it is in line with the will of God. There are people who came to a point of "Had I know" in the journey of destiny because they were deceived by the fact that everything was alright until the consequence of their action caught up with them.

When David slept with Uriah's wife the going appeared good but he faced the consequence. Gehazi could never believe that collecting Naaman's gift will bring leprosy into his lineage. Saul was thinking about making sacrifice to God at the expense of God's instruction for him; this single act cost him the Kingdom. Achan was happy when he successfully took the accursed things not knowing that he has succeeded in putting an end to his own life.

A man will only miss it each time he fails to walk in the light of God's word. It takes just a simple mistake to mar a man's life in the journey of destiny. Save your life, career, marriage, academics and other aspect of life by honouring God's word before you take any action!

After the fall of man, it is imperative for every man to workout his purpose and what he needs for life and destiny. Nothing truly comes in life automatically. Hence, Jesus made it known that even Him must work within the time frame He has in the land of the living.

Despite the fact that God's salvation is freely offered to all mankind through Christ; every man is expected to workout his salvation with fear and trembling (Phill 2:12). No matter how great the promises of God is upon your life, you are expected to work it out by walking and working in the premise of His promises for your life.

The greatness of Abraham began when he took a bold step to respond to God's call and desire for his life at every point in time. Hence, there is a part you will and must play in every bid to be who God wants you to be. As you proceed in destiny be mindful of the fact that as far as God is concerned you are nothing and your existence is of no benefit to Him until you become who He wants you to be.

God, despite creating man for His glory, gave man the power of will to choose whatever he desires. We have the capacity to choose between various options in life. However, if we must live in the reality of God's plan for our lives, His will is a must for us. As far as Jesus is concerned His priority is the will of God.

Several people continue to do contrary to the will of God because to them they don't have an option than to sin against God due to the fact that their livelihood and several benefits they enjoy in this life is rooted in unrighteousness. To God it is not an excuse; if you must come into the reality of His plans for you, you must do away with unrighteousness.

A day is coming when every man created by God will not have an option but to pass on to eternity; leaving everything we've gathered and worked for to give an account of the way we've lived. The likes of Abraham, Joseph, David, Daniel at different times came to a point where life gave them no option in the midst of numerous benefits but they chose to do the will of God as the only option to be what God wants them to be. You also can't do less!

Sometimes, most of what we think we need or want to achieve is not what we truly need or should achieve. Where we live and the people in our environment can influence our goals, desires and values. God is the only one that can give you the desire of your heart.

We have seen men who try all they could to achieve something for themselves but later discovered that what they strive to get does not give them the required fulfillment. The one who created you is the One who determines what can give you peace and bless you. The path He takes you through in life is the part to fulfill your desires.

David experienced a lot of issues in a bid to fulfill the plan of God for his life. Despite all the battles against him; he became what God wanted him to be. This is because he delighted himself in the Lord. Most of the battles we face in life are battles against reaching our goal. We need to submit to God and cooperate with Him to do His good pleasure in our lives. With Him on our side we will sure reach our goal in every facet of life.

The Lord has a plan for your life. He cares about everything happening to you. You don't have to worry or be afraid, Jesus will take care of the issues of your life.

A man who has a very low paying job became worried when he heard the tuition fee of various higher institution around him which is on the increase day by day. He was wondering how much the tuition fee would be when his 7 years old child will come of age to attend a university considering the nature of his job and his income. But as God will have it; God changed his job to a more lucrative one when his child was at the verge of gaining admission into the university. While he was worried God already had known what He will do with his life.

Are you thinking of life after retirement, school fees, marriage, your career, academics, aspirations, ambition and what will be of you in the midst of obvious situation of life ready to disgrace you. Believe strongly in His word and He will perfect that which concerns you to bring to pass His promises in your life.

God in His infinite mercy will not but always fulfill his promises. However, men on their part are expected to preserve what has been given unto them. There is an ancient battle against the heritage of the Lord in the lives of men. It is not enough for the Lord to give you a career, ministry, job, home; husband, wife, children and material possession of life, the major issues is preserving what has been given to you.

You may be wondering why the devil is so interested in your life; it is all about your heritage. He wants to make sure that you don't enjoy the great gift of God through salvation and also hinder you from making heaven. God will only release the grace you need but will never take over your responsibility of preserving your heritage.

The mother of Moses preserved him from death so also Joseph and Mary preserved Jesus from Herod who sought to kill Him. Angels didn't do that for them they took the responsibility. If what the Lord has given you will not slip out of your hands you must make effort and prayerfully preserve it.

Irrespective of the experiences we have had so far in our land as a nation it doesn't change the fact that the plan of the Lord for us is to be a great and mighty nation that will be a blessing to all nations of the earth. The Lord is committed to bring His word to pass over our land.

The Lord confidently affirm to the fact that Abraham will surely be a great and mighty nation because He responded to God to work and walk to fulfill His purpose on earth. He taught and commanded his children and his household to keep the way of the LORD, to do righteousness and to love justice. By the virtue of this actions the LORD brought to pass what He said concerning Abraham. In every tribe, race, colour and nation today we have sons and daughters of Abraham.

The Lord has not given up on our land; if we will keep the way of the Lord, love justice and walk in righteousness; He will bring to pass what He has said concerning our land! This has to begin with you as an individual.

The devil tempted the Lord to see if what played out in the case of the Adam will also workout in the life of Jesus Christ but he failed in every bid to hinder the salvation of mankind through Christ Jesus. As for the Lord the devil found nothing in Him (John 14:30).

When through the help of God you overcome various trials and temptation appreciate God, humble yourself the more and ask for more grace because the devil only stepped aside to restrategize and wait for another opportunity. As far as the devil is concerned there is no man that cannot fall. There is no height a man attain under God irrespective of his anointing that he cannot fail.

The devil is not ignorant of your weaknesses. He believes passionately that you will definitely fall. Yield not to temptation if you have keen interest in winning the crown of glory. One victory will help you some other to win; trust God to help you win consistently.

Sometimes not all we call help is truly help; Help is help when God takes the exclusive glory. There are several hills in life which looks like a potential help but in the actual sense they cannot help; help will only comes from God.

Your help will not come from your effort, qualification, parent, spouse, friends, families, church, nation even though God atimes uses them as instrument for help. Your help will only come from God who rules in the affairs of men. Also, when help fails from these instruments don't be disappointed because God fail to use them for you at that point in time. Keep your trust in God alone for help and always seek for Him alone to help you in all situation of life.

The problem King Saul had when he was reigning in the land of Israel took its root from pleasing the men at the expense of God's will for him. He feared men than God who brought them to him. When the consequence of his action came those men were not there for him.

There is no way you can attempt to please men that you will not sin against God. In the actual sense there is no way you can please men because the heart of men is evil. As you proceed in destiny be mindful of the fact that you will face more of the consequence of your actions. Don't allow men to push you to sin against God.

The lives of men is transcient. There is a limit to what men can do for you. Every man is expected to pay the price of his mandate and relate with God as an individual. As much as you can, do good to men and care for them but not at the detriment of your relationship with your Creator. If you do, the Lord will reject you and every service you render in His name will be an abomination.

God does not honour the labour of a man who is disobedient to his word no matter how wonderful it appears to be. If you will not serve God with a perfect heart in absolute obedience to His word and in righteousness you have no business serving the Lord. God will not reward any labour having its root in disobedience and every works of flesh.

In 1Samuel 15; King Saul to some extent carried out the instruction of the Lord but included his own selfish desire. The Lord did not even commend the effort he made but rather regarded his action as rebellion. God is not a man; whatever you do before Him does not count if there is an element of flesh (sinful nature).

What really matters to God if your labour will not be fruitless is that you should submit to him in absolute obedience to His will. Be mindful of the fact that every godly activity that glorifies the flesh is iniquity before Him.

As you proceed in destiny be mindful of the fact that life is all about paying price. Even the promises of God will only be fulfilled in the premises of His will. Hence, you must always count the cost of every action and inaction if you will not end up in shame and disapointment. Brace up and pay the price required for the fulfillment of your academics, career, ministry and marital destiny. No matter how great the plan of God is for your life, they will never come to pass until you pay the price.

When the woman having an alabaster flask of a very costly fragrant oil, poured the oil on Jesus; His disciple became indignant and considered it a waste. However, she became an eternal blessing because of this singular action. There are people like her who probably have a better oil but they are not known because they did not pour their own oil on Christ Jesus.

Many people will see your commitment to God as a waste. They may be wondering what you will gain from serving the Lord. To them it is better to give or sell the best of your life time, prime age, money, strength, intellect, qualifications, position etc. for something else for physical or pleasurable gains. As long as you live, there will be a struggle to get the best of your life.

Every right thing you do is not a waste even if it appears as if it does not pay. Your inheritance in Christ Jesus is real but invisible. Your labour and sacrifices in the Lord is not in vain. You will be rewarded for every work you do through the help of the Holy Spirit. Don't spend your life chasing shadow or invest in things that are of less eternal value; give your best to the Master.

We are in the world of power and battle. Hence, every man created by God seeks to have peace on every side. Despite the fact that you are required to brace up against every issues confronting your life the fact still remains that you must be mindful of the fact that every battle of life is of the Lord and that He must go ahead of you irrespective of your expertise and the experience you have had so far in life.

When the people of Moab and Ammon, came to battle against Jehoshaphat (2Chr 20:1-21); he became terrified but sought the Lord, praised Him and became victorious without fighting because the Lord fought for him. Who can ever imagine that an ordinary man empowered by the extraordinary God will be enough to kill Goliath who threatened the people of God?

It is only when you allow God to fight your battles for you that you will come out victoriously unhurt in the battle of life. Submit yourself to obey and please God in all your pursuit and He will fight your battles.

Every man created by God will come to a point in destiny where he will desire the blessing of God in all ramifications. Until you are blessed of the Lord you cannot be fulfilled. There are several men who have riches, material possession and position of authority but still live with a very great vacuum in their heart desiring fulfillment.

It is only the one blessed of the Lord that is blessed and will be a blessing. It is not enough to get something in this life what matters to God in all your gettings is how you got what you have. You cannot get a job, wife, material possessions of life, position of authority through unjust means and expect God to bless it for you.

God the creator of all things is a righteous God. He will not commit Himself to bless whatever has its root in unrighteousness. Do not rejoice in whatever has its source or root in unrighteousness. Be careful to ensure that the devil does not have a foothold on your foundation in any affairs of life. Honour God with your decision and please Him in all situation of life.

There are several men who shy away from what they know to be the truth because of personal or corporate gains. When a man knows the truth and chooses to do otherwise or fail to provide adequate support for it on the account of selfishness such a man is building a leprous mind.

The word of the Lord makes it clear in the passage above that misery result from affliction, suffering and intense mournfulness awaits those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter.

A type of mind that rejoices in the face of evil practices, deceit, cheat, corruption, unrighteousness and all forms of malpractices at any level of life is a leprous mind. A nation can never be great until her people have a mind devoid of leprosy and channel their strength to promote righteousness in all levels of life.

The Israelites were at the verge of destruction until Queen Esther found a voice against it. The world suffers a lot not because of the violence of bad people but because of the silence of good people. Every man before God will be guilty of the good he fails to do and the support he offers to unrighteousness and injustice on the account of personal or corporate gains.

Failure to act against injustice for any reason is a moral felony. The implication of remaining silent when you are not instructed to do so by the Holy Spirit in the midst evil practise of men is that you are a partner to the evil perpetrated. We must make an effort, trespass obstacle, play the offensive and rise to the beacon against evil in our land rather than turn our face to the corner of dark room.

The experience of King Nebuchadnezzar brought him to a very critical conclusion of the personality of God. He accepted that God is a great King of heaven, whose works are true and ways are just and pulls down those who walk in pride.

Whatever happens to you; it is allowed by God. The reward of righteousness and the punishment of sin is regarded as God's Verdict. Sometimes when it seems as if a man is fortunate or unfortunate subjected to His action as the case may be is also God's Verdict

The verdict of the Lord over the life of a man may entail that he develops a required character before promotion in certain aspect of life. Until he develops such character he can never become what the Lord wants him to be.

Humble yourself so that God can lift you in due season. The earlier you surrender and submit to what God wants to achieve with your life the better for you. There is nothing a man can become outside God's plan for him.

When the Lord is set to establish his purpose on earth; He touches the heart of men and prompt them to work out His good pleasure. If it is to elevate a man, He commands people to support and favour him as in the case of Jeroboam. However, if He wants to demote and bring a man down He commands men to disappoint and turn him down like the case of Rehoboam.

God on many occasion rebuked evil men who were terrors to others. He put an end to the likes Pharaoh, Goliath, Jezebel to put an end to their oppression over men. This is possible because they were His creation. He can do much more for us as an individual, church and nation. Everything you desire for life and destiny lies in His hands.

Despite the fact that you may have justifiable reason for whatever you choose to do in life; there is always an associative consequence to every action. The decision you are make at this very point in time plays a major role in determining what your future will be.

It is not enough to pray to God to choose for us good leaders; it is our collective responsibility to perform our civic duty by partaking in the electoral process. God will never come down to do what He is meant for you to do. Sow the seed of your choice and define your future with the power of your will.

As far as the issue of your life is concerned. It is your responsibility to resist the devil, flee from sin, live a righteous life, draw near to God and make yourself available to do His good pleasure. The mercy of God does not work effectively in the life of a man without a deliberate action in the direction of God's will!
