Where is your evidence that a Fulani herdsman carried out the attack? Somebody from nowhere posted this picture on Facebook and "claimed" that his attackers were herdsmen and you just bought the story. From the picture one can easily decode that the attack happened in the afternoon. So why didn't anybody apprehend the supposed attackers. How will you pick any random picture on facebook of a man attacked and label the attackers as Fulani people?

The man pictured above narrowly escaped death after he was macheted by suspected Fulani herdsmen as he went to fetch firewood. Two days ago, D’banj dropped his latest song Breaking News to the excitement of his fans and he revealed that the hot new track was produced by two heavyweight producers, Sarz and Dj Marphorisa.

Yesterday, Davido’s hypeman Special Spesh took to his Snapchat to throw shades at the Kokomaster, dissing the new track and calling it ‘wack.’ Special Spesh, who used to be buddies with D’banj, has been feuding with the singer since he accused him of stealing the catch phrase “coming through”, which he used in hisEmergency single, from him without due credit.

Now, Spesh is throwing shade at D’banj’s song Breaking news saying it is wack because Dbanj didn’t see any catchphrase to steal this time around.



D’banj’s fans have lashed out at him for being petty and are calling him an attention seeker who is looking for unnecessary drama. Others just had pure ugly things to say.

Troops have continuously intensified clearance operations of the remnants of Boko Haram terrorists in the North East under the auspices of Operation LAFIYA DOLE.

It is in this vein that troops of 231, 331 Battalions and elements of Armed Forces Special Forces Battalion, accompanied by some vigilantes, conducted a clearance operation at Doksa village aimed at clearing the remnants of Boko Haram terrorists hiding in the area.


The team cleared all the routes in the general area as well as suspected hideouts of the Boko Haram terrorists before arriving and clearing the terrorists out of their enclaves in Doksa 1, 2, and 3, as well as Sabon Garin Doksa.

The troops also dominated the area with heavy artillery shelling against other registered locations of Boko Haram terrorists at Buga Dam, Golgore and Lariski villages.

The Boko Haram casualties are enormous and troops have also intensified shelling other hideouts.

The troops also recovered 1 pick up van, several motorcycles, several bicycles as well as drugs, foodstuff and books. They also recovered 3 tyres of a stolen military Hilux vehicle which was stolen on 19th December 2015.

Other items recovered include a laptop computer, 2 mini laptop computers, 4 Dane Guns, 1 Blood Pressure measurement apparatus, 3 rifle magazines, large quantity of ammunition of various calibres, a Nokia mobile phone and SIM cards.

They also rescued 4 women and 2 children.

7 young granite miners died while dozens were seriously injured when the cave they were digging collapsed in Jabo town of Tambuwal Local Government Area of Sokoto State, on Wednesday, April 27.

Speaking on the sad incident, wife of the state Governor, Hajiya Maryam Mairo Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, extended her condolence to the families of the deceased.

Shesasks Allah SWT to grant their souls eternal rest and give their families the fortitude to bear the loss.

RE:DISQUIET IN THE WAR FRONT AS SOLDIERS COMPLAIN OF UNPAID ALLOWANCE
The attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to some stories going round the media circles with the title “Disquiet in the war front as soldiers complain of unpaid allowance” alleging that there was problem in the Nigerian Army due to non-payment of allowances to some soldiers serving in the North East.
In particular, they were alleging non-payment of outstanding peacekeeping operations allowance of troops that served in Guinea Bissau under the auspices of the Economic Community of West African States and operation allowances to some troops in counter-terrorism and counter-insurgency operations, among others.
The issues contained in such publications are not true nor correct. While some media treated the matter professionally, giving the military benefit of doubt and sought to know the truth, while others mischievously went to town with the false story without recourse to ethics of the profession and bothering to find out from the military.
The effort of the former is quite commendable and really appreciated, while that of the latter is quite unfortunate.
For the avoidance of doubt, we wish to inform the public that the issue of non-payment of peacekeeping operations allowance is a minor internal military administrative matter which was treated and resolved accordingly and has no bearing on the fight against terrorism and insurgency as they mischievously alleged.
It should be reiterated that the alleged non-payment of operations allowance among the returnee peacekeepers was due to administrative hitches which was solved to the point that all outstanding peacekeeping operations have been paid and the last batch payment was done last Tuesday.
As regards to payment of operations allowances, it is borne out of deliberate mischief and failure to comply with the new measures aimed at ensuring probity and accountability in the Service. All officers and soldiers are now paid their operations allowance directly into their account.
All those that did not receive theirs was due to non-compliance with the directive of giving correct account details or duplication of names due to recent postings. This has been explained to all those affected and efforts were on to rectify same shortly.
We wish to state further that those soldiers involved or complaint to the media are very few compared to the soldiers in the operation area who are working assiduously to finally clear the remnants of Boko Haram terrorists.
Majority of our troops have been receiving their allowances regularly. The very few indiscipline ones cannot be used to distract us, neither should they be used as yardstick to measure troops general well being and performance.
Already issues relating to troops welfare have been of utmost priority to Mr President and the Army leadership is doing everything possible to ensure troops' high morale.
We would like to once again thank those responsible media outfits that showed understanding and maturity in reporting issues of national defence and security professionally.

Monday, May 2, has been declared a public holiday by Federal Government to commemorate the celebration of 2016 Worker’s Day. The Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government of Nigeria in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Bassey Okon Akpanyung on Thursday.


He commended Nigerian Workers for their resilience, hard work and commitment to the Change Mantra of President Muhammadu Buhari despite current challenges.

Dambazau enjoined them to continue to support the President in his desire to fight corruption, ensure security of lives and property and stabilize the economy through creation of jobs and diversification of the economy.

While wishing Nigerian workers a joyful and peaceful celebration, the minister urged them to re-dedicate themselves to the service of the Nation and remain productive for the growth and development of the country.

“These two guy got in to the trap like fishes that has escaped hook severally but finally swallow the hook. Their shrine as it is contained in the pictures is based somewhere at Otakiti village, some miles away from Okinni town beside Osogbo. Nigeria’s drug law enforcement agency, NDLEA has arraigned the 9 drug dealers accused of operating a mega Meth lab in Asaba Delta state .The suspects (four Mexicans and five Nigerians) were brought to a Federal High Court in Delta state for their involvement in the construction of the gigantic meth production lab.

In a bid to delay their trial, the 4 Mexicans claimed they do not understand English and required the service of an interpreter, the suspects identified as Jose Bruno, Gonzalez Pero, Ruiz Pastiano and Barraza Cristobal also turned down request to use
an interpreter produced by the NDLEA.4 of the 5 Nigerians arrested include Umolu Chuwuemeka and Umolu Kosiko chukwu, Chibi Arunh and Ejike Agusi.

We met 12 years ago in UNIBEN in Nigeria, I was on my way to choir practice, when he walked up to me and said hello to me, I said “hi” I walked as fast as I could away from him as I was already running late for Choir practice, he kept following me and asked if I could give him a minute, I shouted at him and said “say what you want to say am late for choir practice” he was quite polite and told me his name was Richard , what’s your name he asked and I answered ” you asked me to give you a minute right? Your time is up” and I walked away.
I didn’t see him again until about 2 months after, I was going to the library to read and was preparing for my exams, he saw me and followed me to the library, he said I know you are preparing for your exams but please hear me out, he asked me for my mobile number, I lied to him and told him I didn’t have a phone, he asked me when I will be through with my exams, I told him 2 weeks time, then he said I’ll come look for you in the library a day to your last papers, I said alright, and then he left. The day before my last papers I didn’t go to the library, I decided to study at home in order to avoid him, I went home for holidays after my last paper.
About a week later I got a call from him, I was surprised how he got my number and I asked him how he got my number, and he told me he went to my hostel to look for me, he said he described me to any one he could find and finally a classmate of mine gave him my number and he told me her name, I was really surprised she has my number because we weren’t that close, I guess she gave him my number just to spite me, but God had other plans for me. God used her to bring such an amazing and God fearing man into my life, he kept in touch , in fact he called me everyday but never asked me out for a date or anything. Then about 2 weeks later , we were talking on the phone and he asked if he could come visit me at home.
I said no, but I asked if he could come to my church on Sunday, he said yes and he did. After Church we went out on a date and that was when we started a Godly relationship for about 2 years before we got married 10 years ago. And God has blessed us with 3 amazing kids and it’s been God all the way.
