I'm a Niger Deltan and I can tell you that our leaders here are evil, sometimes you're moved emotionally when you think of all that could have been done for the region by the representatives of the region and how they did nothing, you'd feel like weeping. What about community heads that are heavily paid ?? What do they do with the money, other than squander them in the pleasures of life, sending their children to the most expensive schools in the world while their community rot.

Asari dokubo, Tompolo, Edwin Clark, boyloaf, Ayiri, Orubebe, GEJ are folks in the region many will follow and do according to how they are instructed by these folks. But the many who follow these ones and others not mentioned are the gullible illiterate youths.

When I look back at the amnesty deal, I remember the case of Joseph in the Bible, who was traded for money by his brothers. Our brothers traded our plight for money.

I thought they would have championed for a speedy development of the region and give a time frame for such developments to take place as the amnesty deal but NO they opted for the CASH only to cry foul with the end in sight.

Is it not shameful that some of these oil bearing communities do not have the basic amenities?? When most IOC pay huge funds to community heads and award developmental projects to them which never gets completed all because of greed.

Ending terrorism in Nigeria can be approached in two stages.

First, intensify intelligent military operations within the region. And this has to be done with all form of seriousness not like the way it was handled by the previous administration. Once you can fully minimize their activities, stage two can then be implemented and that is:

Re-orientation. Part of the problem we're facing in the north, is their gullibility, and this can be traced to the high rate of illiteracy in that region.

I tell you, you can turn an uneducated christian into an extremist, it's very easy. There has to be a way to get these northerners to go to school. Also, the muslim leaders can't afford to rest on their oars, every form of enlightenment they can give, they should.

A wide awareness campaign, in every state both in English, Arabic, and their local language should be used to enlighten these folks.

The reason I can't tell you to go and kill for Jesus is because you are learned, very sound in reasoning as a result of your education and so you can always find out on your own if truly that's what the Bible say.

Both stages can only be implemented by a serious Government, serious political and Religious leadership in the north and a general support from the entire Nation.

It is against international law, they are entitled to self determination. They are allowed their own country.

Those laws don't exist without pre-conditions. If they are able to meet those conditions then the international body will prevail on the government of the country to conduct a referendum. For the case of Sudan they had a continuous case of civil wars that was why the country was split.

In the case of Nigeria we've just experienced one, so unless they (biafran leaders) can come up with a cogent reason as to why they want to breakaway, I don't see the international body granting them support.

Breaking away peacefully is not that simple.

We know some of the campaign promises were stupid and will be impossible to fulfil like making 1 naira to be equal to 1 dollar and like stabilising global oil price, but declaring his assets is a easy promise to keep.

Perhaps you should say, they should publish their assets on the papers, which I believe they will eventually. But they have done the needful by declaring with CCB which is same as declaring publicly as anybody can get the information upon request from CCB
