PoliticsRe: We’ll Resist Fuel Subsidy Removal – TUC by jorlons(m):
eagleeye2:
When I started this debate I made a submission that head or tell the RICH/ELITES/LEADERS always win.
.
Now look at the bolded in your argument.
.
PHRC WILL BEGIN.............2016
DANGOTE REFINERY ........2017
+
PMB may likely handle the Petroleum ministry.
.
WHAT IF PHRC never begins?
So Dangote refinery will do what exactly? REFINE ALL THE PMS WE WILL USE AND GIVE IT OUT FOR FREE........(Elites)
Okay, you didn't support it then because GEJ didn't keep the portfolio in his office like OBJ.
And Buhari keeping the portfolio, he won't need to work with all THE CORRUPT PEOPLE IN NNPC or what? (Maybe they all became BORN Against?).
.
Now to the unhighlighted.......
.
If the Subsidy has been totally removed and partially, THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN NO MONEY TO SIPHON IN THE FIRST PLACE AS SURE-P or whatever.
.
Do you now get my submission. Remove subsidy, and let the marketers go to the market and source their product and sell as they see fit, their by bringing about COMPETITION.
.
If A gets his for 100, he can sell for 110 or 120
If B gets his for 115, he can sell for 140 or 130

.
They are business men and at the long run the market forces will normalize things.
.
But now we are back at TOTAL REMOVAL OF SUBSIDY, which we would have done in 2012.
On PHRC, I think I'd rather stick with the assurance given by the Managing director that they'd start supplying PMS by first quarter of 2016.

I never said Dangote refinery will supply its PMS free, rather it will complement the capacity of our govt owned refinery thus increasing the capacity of crude that can be refined per day. Also, PMS from Dangote's refinery obviously cannot be priced at the same amount as those imported, the price most definitely would be cheaper.

Again, had the money realised from the partial removal of subsidy been put to good use during GEJ's administration, nobody would have objected to a total removal.

You're right to say the corrupt people won't change over Night even if PMB takes the portfolio of petroleum ministry. However, their activities would be reduced and those who may not be so lucky to go scot free with their corrupt actions would be made to face the law. What I trying to let you know is that under PMB, their activities will be checked.

Total removal of subsidy will give room for healthy competition like you rightly said but it will certainly take awhile for the prices to drop as a result of this competition. What if it takes two to three or more years for the price to drop to a reasonable value??

My dear, i'm beginning to think same way. The Bible already told us that all these are signs of the end time, so I fear that things may only get worse. May God save us in Jesus name, Amen.
Why don't you look on the bright side ??

Well boko haram will surely be dealt with, in a few days time we should start getting great news from the military triumph over them.

If I am correct, GEJ was elected President in 2011, after having served as a Acting President since 2010. But you couldn't give him the benefit of doubt (WHY IF I MAY ASK?)
.
Now, do you think EVERYONE IN NIGERIA TRUST THE BUHARI GOVERNMENT?
DO YOU THINK EVERYONE WANTS TO GIVE HIM THAT BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT?
.
You see why I say Nigeria is a funny Country.
.
.
Because I don't like the sound of his NAME or I don't like his FACE, so anything he says I won't accept. But when the tables are turned we are quick to sing a new tune.
.
God Bless Nigeria
God Bless His people in Nigeria.
When I look back to the resistance put forward against subsidy removal by Nigerians (of which I was among), I think it's safe to say we did the right thing.

You'd agree with me that subsidy was removed partially, question is what did GEJ and his cronies do with the money to encourage a total removal ?? The answer is, nothing, absolutely nothing. They were rather using the money to sponsor various SCAM programs.

PHRC will begin its operations in the first quarter of 2016, Dangote's refinery comes on stream in 2017 this will boost our local refining capacity while at the same time cutting down on imports.

In addition, PMB may likely be handling the petroleum ministry portfolio so I have no doubt that whatever decisions he takes will be in our interest.

Kai Agama lizard na heavy otondo. See the incoherent shayt he's talking about.

Nigerians resisted the removal of subsidy because the government in power then (GEJ and his cronies) where totally untrustworthy, but now we have somebody we can trust. So if PMB decides to remove fuel subsidy (which he should) Nigerians will support him and if you and your Union try anything silly, we (well meaning Nigerians) will resist you.

Asari dokubo, boyloaf, Tompolo are a few amongst other militants who would rather the Niger delta region remains in its sordid state so they can keep using it as a front to blackmail the FG into doing their bidding.

PoliticsRe: Tompolo Denies Receiving N1.5bn Monthly by jorlons(m):
First of all, what da phuck kindda name is "High Chief Government Ekpomupolo" ?? Maybe our ijaw brothers can give us a meaning to that name.

Secondly, why is the "common thief" trying to launder his image by denial. I listened to Festus Keyamo once on channels tv, vibrating angrily, as he spoke of how our waterways had been contracted to ex-militias at a very incredible sum, still, they steal 400,000 barrels of the crude they were entrusted to secure.

PMB needs to revoke the contract as soon as possible and I know he'll, especially when we have the Navy. One really wonders what Jona was thinking to have approved the contract.

Our president (PMB) really has a strong resolve to wipe out this sect in the shortest time possible. With the pace at which he is going, Boko haram will be history soonest.

So we expect Badeh, Minimah and co to be Iin Maiduguri today. That's great to know.

God bless PMB
God bless the Nigerian Army.
God bless Nigeria.

I never believed the shiit. The latest disturbing trend now is the circulation of false information using the usual clause"our sources who pleaded anonymity".

If I can recall vividly"thebreakingtimes.com" came up with this story and that of Aisha's wrist watch that has now gained international reportage.

Somebody is trying really hard to denigrate the reputation of PMB and his family and they are dangerously bold. It's our collective responsibility to filter the news being circulated by these miscreants. For now, I've got my eyes on "thebreakingtimes.com".

Nuff said.

First of all, the OP is suffering from chronic stupidity..

Secondly, can Nigerians see how insensitive some of these professional bodies can be. I mean a new administration that's not up to a week old, this is how they welcome them.

Insensitive eediotts, fuckin go on strike. But remember that the blood of those who'll die as a result of your actions will surely be in your hands. Nonsense!

As a Niger deltan, we don't need our own country. I tell you we will not last a year before we breakup.

I have always maintained a stance that Nigeria cannot break in two or three or four, it will fragment worse case scenario.
PoliticsRe: Mosundi Demands Niger Delta Peoples Republic. by jorlons(m): 6:16pm On Jun 03, 2015
As a Niger Deltan let me clarify that these groups agitating for self determination on our behalf are nothing but clowns pursuing their own purpose.

I've said it before and say it again, UN should be prepared to carry out more referendums because if they think Nigeria will just divide into two then they must be joking. If all are tired of one Nigeria, then we should be prepared to fragment.

Lets wait for other regions to seek self determination from the UN.
