PoliticsRe: Condoms Increases Risk Of Aids: Says "pope". by JosBoy4Lif(m): 4:51pm On Mar 24, 2009
I know that the Catholic church is all for abstinence I am aware of that, but is this even a feasible reality, anywhere on planet Earth?
How effective has that been, I went to a catholic school, and besides the uniform there was no difference in the level promiscuity

We had religion teachers tell us the importance of "safe sex" as opposed to just "plain sex" so there definitely was an element of support of contraceptives
I know exactly what the pope was trying to do, he just said it wrong. If you wants to preach about abstinence let him go right ahead, but don't see that condoms increase risk of AIDS, because the connotation is diabolic.
PoliticsRe: Condoms Increases Risk Of Aids: Says "pope". by JosBoy4Lif(m): 4:24pm On Mar 24, 2009
The pope could never tell the people of Europe that Condom use is bad and increases risk of AIDS.
Now ignorant Africans are going to say "I told you say na de condom oyinbo give us is tainted with AIDS, even the pope come talk am"

Even the stupid professor at Harvard was yarning the same bullshit.
My question is if we as Africans don't use contraceptives like condoms, will the so called 'risk of AIDS' decrease. The answer is a resounding NO! Africa like my friend A-town likes to put it would be even more disease infested.

I find it rather distasteful when prominent figures of the world go to Africa and spread disinformation.
More than 60% of his own congregation in the Western world are in support of condoms, maybe he should go and preach to them.

Delta007:
BA (Lagos to Vancouver) no be am on the return leg. Because of the change in departure from Vancouver, you have to overnight in London. Unless you have something doing in London, it's pretty much a waste of time. And I'm not suprised at the N320k. I know someone who paid N400k in December for an economy seat from Lagos to Vancouver; the dollar/naira wahala is definitely affecting everything.
Hey Delta bro, to stay overnight in London, doesn't one need a Transit Visa?
The flights to Canada Via British Airways are out of sync if one is coming from Nigeria. I still prefer flying with BA because of their 3 X 23 KG Checked baggage limit.
It's the highest standard baggage limit, good for bringing expensive food ingredients for mumsy.
PoliticsRe: "I Want The Kind People Of Nigeria To Help Me Beg The First Bank Of Nigeria Plc" by JosBoy4Lif(m): 4:37pm On Mar 19, 2009
What a disgraceful act perpetrated by the bank!
What is more upsetting is that Nigerians have soiled there name so bad that they can not even send Western Union money transfers from Nigeria to other parts of the world.

@KunleOsho:
You may have a point there.

Personally, I try my best not to get involved in castigating the men of God, even when they are wrong it is still important for one to be prudent.

What exactly is the purpose of this private jet?
Is this the right time in Nigeria for a man of God to purchase a private jet?
Where exactly are these funds coming from?

Jesus was never a fancy entity during his time, he was very humble and caring. I'm not sure if Jesus himself would have purchased a private jet when more than half of the members of the congregation are reaching or struggling to make ends meet.
And finally, I thought pastors supposed to emulate the incredible ways of Jesus; so, what is going on here?

Honestly, I'm very uncomfortable with this latest development (new private jet), if it is true. But if my post is a sin, I beg God for forgiveness.
So you want Nigeria's most popular priest to take risk in commercial airlines?
End up like Pastor Bimbo or the Sultan of Sokoto (very sad!) angry

Why would Detroit make the list of the worst places to work in? Because housing is relatively cheap compared to Lagos? Not sure I follow!!
Well do to the fact 10,000's of people are now unemployed in the motor city, and it will only get worse.
The white flight in the city has been crazy over the decade.

I am just saying that the criteria that they used to put together this list most be subjective at best. Riyadh on the list come on,

I see an appreciation in the value of the Naira sometime in the summer, when the price of crude oil will go up.
All these derivative contracts are really shaking the market though!
PoliticsRe: A Wrong Message From Nigeria by JosBoy4Lif(m): 1:35am On Mar 12, 2009
You do know that a more liberalized society tends to function better:

Womens rights, minority rights, gay rights, disabled rights etc,
Their is a huge correlation between countries that have freer societies and the economic well being of those countries.

You can currently by a house their for roughly $5000. Try that in Lagos,
