And the majority group in that area is mete people.  And Bariba people are not in the centre. They are in the north east. Yorubas are in the centre. Even Bariba people have their origin to the yorubas. do you research. And Bariba people have no similarity with the Nupe.  More than 50% of bariba people in Nigeria speak Yoruba. they were in former Niger state. IBB woke up one day and just cut the area to his own state.  He was hoping to cut another state for his ethnics group. but lucky run out of him and he left office. He never was able to do it.


And do your research before you post.  And Yorubas are not 20%,  when you add other ethnics group which originated from the yorubas in the country it is about nearly 50% . even gaa people in ghana originate from the yorubas.
