i wouldn't advice ifastnet....Go with Stable host,Siteground or Inmotion... |
pBuhari:You call namecheap reputable!!! hahahaaaaaaa..... Dude av used that crap host and believe me....namecheap is good on domains and a piece os $hit with hosting......people who use namecheap for hosting are those getting to the online biz....established sites cannot stay on namecheaps environs |
MakeADifference:For Real dude you wanna now turn this into an arguement? Am surprised you think visits are visitors........this is soooo hillarious...am laughing righ now. i repeat visits are not visitors!! Google is your friend.....do the home work Talking of vps and D.S? Cheap vps/D.S is another crap....infact if you told me you were on Unmanaged vps like Digital ocean, i would side with you but $5 managed vps?....come onnnnn!!! If vps is $5 why are people buying shared hosting for $15?....This hosts you are trynna justyfy can't even hit a 70% uptime...in your next reply...give me 5 reputable hosts offering vps for $5 and i'll check out reviews online to see if those hosts lack 80% of reviews that are negative...name them!! and oh...lastly...i aint Nigerian...i wonder where google falls in this |
MakeADifference:600 visits!....not even visitors... ![]() ok you now wanna play smart just to promote yourself..Good for you! If those $2 hosts were that powerful,mmmh....wouldn't everyone be running there...and oh one server host 50,000 websites?...Ding! and my friend 600 visits can come drom 5,7,13 or even 17 visitors....and so a website with a whooping 2000 visitors a day will surely get suspended on that shared hosting...nothing best comes from $2 hosts unless your site gets 10 visitors a day and therefore no over usage of resources... Theres no respected reseller in the u.s...none.... i have used multiple hosts and am always on the road experimenting and so you telling me a $2 host should be reliable,Boy i just wanna kick myself in the stomach so so hard. |
pBuhari:mmmhh!!!! You have you own data center ehhh!!! or you also use those crap resellers that bring your site down once visitors start coming in!!! You get what you pay for.... |
MakeADifference:Ooh!! You mean those $2 crap hosts that your site needs to be down everynow abd then!! |
https://smattgeeksmedia.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Xiaomi-Redmi-Note-4X-Hatsune-Miku-Special-Edition_1.jpg I don’t know about you, but when someone tells me not to Google something , I immediately do it. It’s a sickness i guess because I can’t think of a single instance where whatever I discovered online after being explicitly warned against looking for it didn’t live up to my awful expectations. In other words, when people tell you not to Google something, they usually have a damn good reason. So why am I sharing this roundup post of things you shouldn’t google, knowing full well that some of you are going to Google them anyway, and I will be the one to blame for your subsequent discomfort? Because I am a very, very, very bad person, that’s why. Keep reading … IF YOU DARE. That said, here are a few things you should never type into Google’s search box : 1.Clock spider I can’t even type those words without my scalp crawling. Now, I have a THING about spiders so your creep factor on this one may vary, but if you’re a fellow arachnophobe, you definitely definitely don’t want to Google Image Search this term. 2.Bedbugs on Mattress SWEET JESUS NO! 3.Wet koala Eventually the Internet will inform you that the viral image of a “wet koala” is in fact fake. But not before you are SCARRED FOR LIFE by the damp, fanged, rage-filled creature someone dreamed up via Photoshop. 4.Tetris Fantic What could ever be wrong about googling Tetris? I mean, it’s Tetris, right? Wrong again. There is a type of pornographic fan fiction inspired by Tetris. It sounds something like this: “I unbuttoned the blue pixel I had on my lower half and instructed her on the ways of pre-intimacy. As her top pixel met my bottom pixel, I let out an ecstatic sigh. Such pleasure I had never experienced in my life …” 5.Yourself Either you’ll find no proof whatsoever of your existence, or you’ll realize just how screwed-up your Internet legacy will be. There’s no happy outcome here. 6.Lazy sundays There are no words to describe this… Unless you are into old men, who enjoy “scrubbing” each other in the shower, you should try to stay away. 7.Blue Waffle There is honestly no need to elaborate. Whatever you do, just don’t. 8.Tub Girl Do you know the games where you have to concentrate really, really, really hard, and then a scary face appears out of nowhere and you fall of your chair crying? Tub girl is in some ways similar to those faces, because it manages to scare the life out of innocent people. If you haven’t seen it yet, don’t look it up, because your reaction might be similar to this guy’s. 9.Fournier 10.Meatspin 11.Goatse (Espcially not this one) 12.Two Girls,One cup 13.Cake farts 14.Skeleton in the closet 15.Google pewdiepie 16.Lemon party and that’s todays list don’t be too curious to know them. Emmysky:Not that good as native ads but on a good day i can make $3-$5 |
adhitz and amazon native ads |
hayPizzle:yeap..i would also lean towards quora over nairaland....i can take hours on quora but not so much time on nairaland....because of cheap spam here. check on everything lacking here and and don't get afraid to test out new ideas on the site. |
hayPizzle:The idea is good but making it is a nightmare. your enemies not only include nairaland but also facebook, reddit and all the major forums you can think of. its not a pretty business....its really really tough., |
LegolasGatsby:As per Google AdSense policies, you can use AdSense Ads on MP3 downlaod sites, provided you have the necessary legal rights and copyrights for the files hosted/distributed by you. But think again - do you really have all the rights? Simply taking MP3 files from the web and hosting it on your site will not make you the legal owner of such content. Also, even if you do not host the files, just linking to illegal downloads itself is promoting piracy and violation of copyrights in many countries. Google AdSense terms and conditions will not allow you to use AdSense on sites that link to illegal music, video, MP3 downloads. Unless you represent a big channel that has the (expensive) legal rights of the downloadable music files, you may end up with trouble with AdSense. It is better to keep AdSense and MP3 downloads away from each other to keep your account safe and in good standing. But if you have all legal copyrights and you are absolutely sure about it, go ahead with it. AdSense on MP3 downloads could give you good money. |
Lawalemi:since the blog is on facebook,i think it will be quite hard to drive traffic organically if its not by the use of social platforms. You may wanna try sharing it among different groups, twitter, reddit, digg, stimbleupon etc etc. Hosting your blog on facebook is really not a good idea.....facebook owns everything you write and theres absolutely no way to measure your progress . Its no different from updating post status that gets burried under other billions and billions of other statuses. |
Lawalemi:Your question is not very clear. is the blog on facebook? or do you want to drive traffic from facebook to your blog hosted somewhere else? |
pxjosh:I would say go with a free reputable host. Blogger is good but full of limitations unless you know how to dig in to code. Use wordpress and learn with that free host until the time you can be comfortable paying for your own hosting. |
Leyqute:since you understand webhosting biz am sure you know digital ocean offers unmanaged vps right? i would love to know which kind of host you are looking for. wether shared, managed vps, unmanaged vps or dedicated servers. Digital ocean, aws and Linode fall in the same category and i dont think there will be anything cheaper than this hosts.... The beautiful thing about them is that you pay for what you use and thats just awesome coz something like linode charges $0.015 per hour which translates to $10 per month or even lower depending on your usage that month. |
Hosting-$8 Per Month($96 Per year) Domain-$0.99 First year ($15 During Renewal) Premium theme-($19 Varies) Totalling Roughly To:- $120 First year |
AfterEarth:lol am just loving your signature.... |
you get what you pay for and cheap is always expensive. |
avonoshi:I would not really measure alexa rank as when looking at how good or bad a blog is doing. Use tools like semrush,Ahrefs and Majestic. Check your Moz Rank,PA,DA and most importantly how many relevant & high quality links are pointing to your site. ..and get rid of the low quality ones. With these tools, you can see what keywords you rank for in search engines and in which position, who is your competitor and how are they able to beat you. You will get a scope of how your site is fairing in real time and not estimations. Coming back to marketing, every niche has its own best strategies. i would advice carrying out some research and see what exactly your audience wants and spy on your competitors to see how they are getting their audience and read marketing tips online before jumping in the ocean.' With these strategies, you will be able to start seeing results but if you do it wrongly, its no difference as throwing money in the air and watching it disappear....don't go in blindly learn a thing or two about the audience you want to reach. |
phililp:one thing that is important before picking a host is your projection of how big it will be in a month or two. Then after that you start evaluating wether it needs more bandwidth,Ram,entry processes,Cpu or any other resources. If the site is projected to be small within a year then trying hostgator would not hurt because you pay monthly and can walk away anytime you get disatisfied. If the site will grow rapidly, you need a host that can change according to your needs without being suspended for using all the resources frequently. |
phililp:any non EIG hosting...siteground,stablehost etc etc |
with 100k i would advice you market the blog, purchase a good premium theme and ensure your seo is on point. If Seo is good people will find you and not the other way round. |
My friend this is a pure white lie.. No one can become a top notch developer in three months....NOOO ONE. people who've been in the industry for years are nothing near to top notch and you wanna tell me a 10 week script kiddie is a top notch developer!!! ?CUT IT OFF MEN!! |
Avoid godaddy like a plague and run away from hostgator like you would when the police are after you. Godaddy hosting is a joke and hostgator is a nightmare. Hostgator used to be good at one time but after EIG purchasing them, they are terribble like corruption in africa. Those reviews you see online people recommending hostgator,Bluehost,Dreamhost etc are not legit...those are God damn affiliates just after your money....Ruuuun my friend ruuun from those two hosts!!! |
most entertainment bloggers are fake with click bait titles such as oh who has died...oh....No. 6 will surprise you and i just don't click on anything with fishy titles. Not all bloggers are like that but lets face it most of them are. |
Software202:No my Friend. Nairaland can't be on top of google,on top of facebook and on top of Wikipedia..that can never happen. |
Drop your blog links and lets see whose blog is crafted and designed better than whose. #Mine: Smatt Geeks Media |
ukche:Yes its possible. cpanel login problem has nothing to do with wp |
