The movie went on well for me, till the very end when they decided to screw things up. Deja vu is a feeling that one has actually experienced something that is actually happening for the first time. So it's basically a sort of time loop in a circular format. Washington ended the time loop by saving the girl & stopping the bombing, but he did so at the detriment of his life, a past life that traveled to the future. Analysing it logically & going by the theoretical rule of time travel, that action of his creates a new timeline & ought to wipe him out of existence from the present & future, but damn no, they had to make it a happy ever after. It's similar to going back in time & killing someone in the past, that person is automatically erased from the present & future timeline created.
