Okay, I agree that the original post was indeed filled with fallacies, and that not everyone has to agree with it. In fact, I even disagreed with most of his points

But what brought about this our banter? I said I don't believe in keeping virginity for husband and I said I will not advise my girl-child likewise. Instead, I will advise her to do it for herself and/or in obedience to God. It was at this point that you mentioned me and started saying stuff about  there being no point since 'so called christian virgins end up masturbating' and some other thing about 'cheating nature'

You don't believe in what I believe in, and knowing this, you still decided to quote me and make cynic comments about what I posted. I gave my opinion and how i will raise me child based on my beliefs. That's my own cup of tea, yes?

Now who is shoving opinions down whose throat?
Did I refer to you as 'so called christians?' Course I didn't. So, are we cool?

(a) for virgins
1. Virginity is a virtue. It may be lack of opportunity but it could be a blessing in disguise so dont be deceive by those anti virgin slogans.
What is virtue? How do you define virtue? And what premise did you use to arrive at this virtue? Who and who do you know who have been blessed because of their virginity status?

2. When its gone it is gone for ever. Many ladies regret loosing it and try there best to regain it, that why virginity surgery and becoming a secondary virgin is now threading.
Virginity surgery? Did you bother to conduct a scientific research to know why and how many ladies use virginity surgery?

3. Men love it and you will hardly escape the questions about your virginity. You will be in trouble when your man thinks you are but you are not. Its harder for a no sex relationship when he discover you are not.
Did you bother to ask or ascertain why men ask ladies about their virginity status? And how do you know "men love" if you do, how did you arrive at this conclusion? What research method did you use to arrive at it? You will be surprise men get when they discover a girl isn't a virgin just because she lied to them, not otherwise.

4. Men have a way of rewarding their virgin wife. When they think of being the first man it makes them happy and tend to pay back that gesture.
Can you kindly tell us the ways men reward their virgin wife? Because if truly they do, then how come the society is filled with men who cheat on their wives? Because if a man truly loves his virgin wife, nothing on this planet will make him cheat on her.

5. Men talk about. Because the are proud the boast about it with there friends, am sure you must have heard some pastors using their wife as model.
Men only talk about this just to boast their ego, nothing more, nothing less.

6. You will regret when you found out the person that took it from you does not deserve it. It comes after heart break.
Yea life's a b1tch, but so will the wife who lost her virginity to a husband who cheats on her? So, what are you saying?

7. Its the best gift you can give your husband if not name it. Once emotionally attach you will wish you were.[quote]On the contrary, the best gift a wife can give her husband isn't her virginity, but loyalty, love, care attention and undying support for the progress and success of the family.

[quote]8. A man might use the fact you are not a virgin to hurt you. Normally during arguement even if you are not his wife or girlfriend (LovePeddler bitch etc)
Such men are scum, any man who call a girl a LovePeddler because she's not a virgin should be asked if he's sister of mother is a LovePeddler if they're not virgins, or even him if he's not a virgin, we still have male prostitute too. grin

9. Non virgin are jealous of you must especially those that have experience one thing or the other.[quote]You don't say? I'll love to know how you came about this finding because it is very intriguing.

[quote]10. A man that truely loves you will help you keep it when you say you want to keep it. But many men are like hit and run.
Yes that's true, but what's the joy of waiting till marriage, after marriage, you discover that you both can not have children? Yes you can adopt, but what's not yours, aint yours? Or you discover that she or he can not satisfy you sexually?

11. Many young ladies have sold their virginity for what can be said millions of naira. Imagine you with yours there are men that will spend money to buy, money that can build a duplex and buy cars. You waste that given it to a random guy while you will end with one man that will be strugling to provide for your need. Why not preserve it for your man
So you're saying anyman who disvirgin a girl automatically give her cars and duplex? Hmm. This is very intriguing?

(b) For non virgins stop deceiving the virgins and stop deceiving yourselve for its a terrible sin to cause someones downfall.
A terrible sin you say? A terrible sin according to whom? You? Please spare us...

Men that say they dont care are probably those that have deflowered girls before or will hit and run or dating a lady above there class. i know some ladies might have experience it. A man is concern about your past life, and will not marry his friend ex must especially if his friend has browse before.
You don't say, you should know not everybody is the same. Many have married girls whom their friends have slept with before. And how do you know men who say they don't care are the ones who have deflowered girls or probably hit and run? Did these men come to your door step to confess?

Reason this, why do some ladies have problem with their brothers girlfriend no matter how close the are with the girl, why do girls reconmend a girl for their brother to marry.
Virginity is not religion and its not a do or die affair. This is aimed at encouraging or discouraging you on the path you chose not to confuse though.
Am not a god nor a demigod please pardon me errors of any form and poor fomating thank you
You should know reason why girls recommend girls to their brothers isn't just about if the girl is a virgin, but has a lot to do with if she can be a good wife? Plain and simple.

Now, you should know girls have the right to Bleep as much as they like without the likes of you coming to bother them that loosing their virginity is a sin, of what use is a virgin who doesn't have manners?

Favolly, happy first Sunday of the month. Me likey. grin wink smiley

Nobody is shoving anything down your throat. When you opened this thread and saw that it had Christian contents which you don't subscribe to, you didn't jump and pass. Instead, you stayed looking for who will argue with you.
Firstly, there's no christian content here, what the OP is saying is just based on generalizing, I won't take me nothing to poke holes in the post he created.

The undertone I hear is that of criticism for what you don't believe in. Using words like 'So called christians'...

Nobody is forcing you to be a Christian abeg. I definitely am not. If Christians are talking about something and you go and chook your mouth, they will tell you what they think based on their beliefs. The best thing is for you to just ignore in the first place.
Nobody is forcing me to be a christian yet those who aren't forcing me are the ones who come to my erotica and throw their religious beliefs down my throat. In case you forgot, this forum is filled with christians shoving their christians belief down peoples throat.

When people open threads to talk about things that negate my christian beliefs, I understand that it's not my cup of tea so i don't attempt to go and chook my mouth there. And I also try to avoid arguing with non-Christians about these issues, just like I've been doing with you since yesterday. But no, you are determined to force words out of me. Then you'll end up saying someone is forcing something down your throat. Lol

If you don't believe in something, it's not by force. This thread is obviously not for you. Let the people for whom this thread was targeted at come and air their opinions in peace. Live and let live!

Happy Sunday wink
Might I remind you how this discourse came to be? If I don't believe in something yes I see no reason why I should even listen. So on the contrary, this thread is for me and anyone who feels concern because the OP is just voicing his/her opinion without facts or evidence to back it up.

You should know, opinions, if left unchecked can prove to be disastrous, that's why threads like this should be checked so it won't mislead the unsuspecting minds. Remember, this is the information age, where uninformed and narrow minded opinion is the other of the day.

So because you've asked, I'll take my time and poke holes in the opening post. Its filled with so much generalization that it bothers on too much fallacy.

At the embolden, you should tell that to those who come to my door every Saturday and Sunday to preach, despite being told to leave me the Bleep alone.

And I don't remember me being you, do I?

'So called virgin Christians'

Lol!

Yes, it will interest you to know that some Christians actually do abide by it, and i'm not referring to those that masturbate. That's self deceit. If someone genuinely wants to obey God, they will know that God cannot be mocked

And about not cheating nature... There's another area you wouldn't be very accepting of. It's called the difference between walking in the flesh and walking in the Spirit. Again, most christians will understand this better wink

PS; I can hear the undertones of your posts. Loud and clear. But like I said, everyone has the right to their opinion and I won't force mine on you. But you really should learn to live and let live. If someone wants to be a 'So called virgin christian', let them be
"about not cheating nature" yes, walking in the flesh and walking in the spirit. Like I never heard that before. LOL.

I know there are christians who abide by the very laws of God, I'm not disputing that. I don't have any problem with anyone being whatever they want to be, what I have problem with is people shoving their religious beliefs down my throat. If its "live and let live" then these christian should learn not everybody subscribe to their christian beliefs.

Since you can hear the undertone in my post, kindly tell me what you hear, so I'll know. Wouldn't want to believe you've started hear 'voices'. LOL. Much like "Dre, I see dead people". LMaO.

So I'll just point out that obedience to God where sexual matters are concerned encompasses both pre-marital sex and masturbation.

Most christian folks understand this better wink

Hi smiley

I love the way you write

I'm following your diary too. You're like a much nicer version of me. Plus it reads like something out of a Francine Rivers novel. Lols

@ your last update..

I saw that you may have misconstrued what i meant when I said being alive is overrated. Maybe, it wasn't about my post but eitherway, I just feel like I should explain what I meant...

I'm glad to be alive and I have serious hopes for a bright future. That's why nothing will ever drive me to take my own life.

However, I came to the conclusion that being alive is overrated because barely 3 months back, I witnessed a loved one battle real hard to stay alive. She had the highest stage of cancer, whatever that means. She was practicaly writhing in pain every minute. Deep in our hearts, we knew the end was near for her but we were still hopeful that some miracle would make her survive it. We would miss her and it would hurt so much if she died. Everyday, I'll get back and peep into her room and see her moaning and groaning. I would watch life seep slowly away from her body. I would watch until I couldn't bear to anymore. She kept crying for mercy and I know God heard her. I can't begin to imagine how unbearable the pain felt but merely looking at her broke my heart everytime.
You will never know just how being alive is sweet because you've never discern the happenings of the afterlife.

Then she stopped crying for mercy and started begging God not to take her life. She said she would bear the pain for as long as it lasted but she just didn't want to die. We all joined in praying to God to save her life but she died not long after. Unfortunately?

We were all sad but at the same time, I felt happy for her soul. I knew she was in a better place. I felt consoled that all that pain was finally over. When I saw her body during the funeral, she looked so peaceful and it made me wonder why she would have chosen to continue suffering for a longer time than to just die and rest in God's bosom.[quote]Did you bother to ponder why she stopped crying and begged God not to take her life? Its said that when a human is near death, he or she sees things? Things happening in the afterlife....

I tell you, if there's a hell or a heaven, I'll have you know that given my current state, I'll rather live a life writhing in pain on earth than burn in that lake of fire forever.

[quote]And in that moment, I realized that not every living being is better than the dead. Everyday, we hear things like 'Are you not supposed to be grateful that you're still alive? People are dying everyday. Go to the mortuary and see dead bodies' And the audience may probably be someone that has Ebola or the deadliest disease ever. Personally, I would pray for death if i found myself in such a situation.

A lot of us are just privileged in this life. That's why we can talk about being better than the dead. And yes, a lot of us are better than the dead but look around you. A lot of people are begging on the streets, no arms, no legs, no food, no shelter, no friends, no relatives, nothing. Most of these people die everyday after going hungry for days at a stretch. Do you think the rest of them think that dying and going to heaven is worse than staying alive to see if they'll live through another day?
Yes, not every living being is better than the dead, the living dead who are better than the living are those in heaven. Those in hell are worse than the living. Death, is a living characteristic, every living thing must die. I tell you, if you knew you were going straight to Hell when you die would you be looking forward to die? Surely I take it you'll like to be bed ridden with Ebola than go down that lane.

Yes, I think being alive is overrated and I mean it generically. It has more to do with my personal beliefs and nothing to do with how screwed up my life may be at the moment.

PS; I'm really sorry for derailing this beautiful story
Well since its on the matter of personal opinion, I believe being alive is not overrated, it can not be over emphasized, because the fear of the unknown is the beginning of wisdom. I for one don't know where I'm going to when I die, I've read books about the afterlife, many fearful and gut wrench terrifying and others subtly... but the truth is, no one knows because no one has crossed over and come back to tell us tales.

So, if you believe life is overrated, I believe it isn't because, life, can not be quantified or measured. We make life what life is for us. Its our own choice to make life better for ourselves and others.

If you want to talk about what is overrated, try marriage! Lol.

Any girl that wants to keep her virginity should do it for her own sake or in obedience to God. I grew up hearing that 'keep your virginity for your husband' crap and it's just a silly thing to say especially in these modern times. It was a bit hard to unlearn most of those toxic things I internalized while growing up but I thank God for wisdom sha.

Is it the same husband that would have slept with half of the girls in town that I will be keeping virginity for? Mba o! I definitely would not be telling that to my girl-child. Instead, tell the ladies to do it for themselves and/or in obedience to God. If they keep their virginity for husband and the husband still cheats on them, what will they now do? Commit suicide?
Keeping it for themselves? Hmm, I can't say, however, keeping it for God? Oh no, tell me, of what use is keeping it for God or themselves when they've spent most of their adult life masturbating?

Jonathan might have been a lot of things to so many people, but I still do admire him. A lot actually.

I would choose Jonathan over Buhari over and over, but all the same, I pray and sincerely wish that the President puts in more effort in actualizing better standards for Nigeria. I wish him well. I wish him speedy recovery too.

I just got off the phone with my soldier brother/friend and the details have been sordid.

It is ironic that living conditions were much better for these soldier during the clueless one's tenure.

See, I don't want to say more.
I feel somewhat discombobulated.

What I actually feel sorry for during my time in politics was when I allowed anger get the better part of me.
Willfully insulting people whom I should be blessing no matter how riled up they get me. Encouraging hate/division where such could have been avoided among fellow NLers.

Well, I know better nowcheesy

Please I'm sorry for derailing the thread thus.
I'll like to know where your soldier brother is serving and which arm of military he belongs to. Remember, my dad was a soldier, I was born and raise in the Nigerian Air Force. I lived most of my life in Nigerian Air Force Base Ikeja, I have friends, lots of them who are in the Army, Airforce and Navy, both in the officer corp and otherwise.

Might I remind you also that I served in the north, where I heard soldiers say things about Jonathan and lived under fear of being slaughtered or bombed by Boko Haram.

Your opinions are your opinions, if you choose to honor Jonathan, its your prerogative. However, we must not fail to criticize his government objectively, and from recent happenings, he failed woefully. Having his wife breach protocol is a clear standard of how much control he doesn't have in his own home.

And you don't need to feel sorry for anything. Like I told you, whatever happens here, stay here. I still hold no grudge against you.

Then why did you quote me; because what I wrote shouldn't have been your business.
I quoted you because I wanted to know your reason for saying what you said.

We do not live in isolation. If there's anything like corruption, Illicit sex is one of such. Unless through bewitchment, manipulation and strong satanic influence, everyone created by God knows that it is dirty to be having sex like lower animals. The ploy of the devil is to kill such God consciousness and enthrone himself. That's why you see people not give a damn about it. It's devilish and since anything devilish is wrong, some of us owe the society the obligation to say it as it is. Because we belong to that same society. Therefore it's our business.
Please be reminded that not everyone subscribe to your religious beliefs and opinions. To many, having sex is fun and they can have it as many times as they like. You can google O.T.O (Odo Templi Orientis) or the act of magick. And find out for yourself. So you jumping and assuming everyone must tow your religious
line of thinking makes you marrow mined.

If someone walks up to you and stab you with a knife, is it anybody's business? Why should anyone stop him, why should anyone speak against the act. after all it's only your business. But we-can't havea society like that. Same for Illicit sex.
If someone walks up to me and stab me with a knife, of course it is everybody's business, because that someone has broken a law as enshrined in the constitution of Nigeria, and it is left for anybody present to uphold the law and report the matter or apprehend the person responsible. Now tell me, is someone having sex with 92 men breaking any law in Nigeria? Like I said, not everyone subscribe to your religious and moral law, which is not enshrined in the constitution.

2, Why will a lady lady sleep with 92 men. is she a dog? Anything that want's to reduce you is not good and it's not of God. Sleeping with 92 men reduces a lady to sub-human. If we don't condemn it it will be accepted. and we all will live in such society together and have children to. so indirectly it affects everyone.
Whether a lady choose to sleep with 92 men isn't your business, however instead of asking why, you should ask what made her sleep with 92 men, or did you ever bother to ask yourself whether that lady might like having sex or whether she's a nymphomaniac? Like I said, your religious beliefs should be your religious beliefs, don't shove it in others peoples face because they might not share the same belief with you.

Another analogy for you to ponder with your question. Can you tell me how having a society were children kill their parents affect your life? after all, no one wants to kill you.

If you don't control weed, they'll affect harvest.
Like I said, killing is a crime against the federal republic of Nigeria, and it is punishable, now tell me, is sleeping with 92 men a crime against the federal republic of Nigeria?

Your religious laws, views and beliefs aren't law in Nigeria. Yes "if you don't control weed, it'll affect the harvest" but if that weed is growing on another mans farm, how does it affect you? Learn to control the weed that grows on your farm, and if the weed on another mans farm is encroaching on your own farm, you can weed it. Plain and simple, its not for you to tell the man that he must weed his farm!

Learn to separate your religious beliefs from personal matters.
