Poems For ReviewThe Rogue. by joseph1832(op):
A rogue he is, yes he is a rogue.
He craves for wealth just like a lion crave for meat.
He embarks on his imperialist quest
Aided by nepotism and capitalism.
He spreads abstracts and deceit to foster his zeal.

He cares not whose ox is gnawed,
He carries not weapons but weapons it is he carries.
He believes abstract and lobotomy are his closest friends.
He uses oratory and eloquence to sway the congregation.
A demagogue he is, indeed he is a demagogue.

The rogue seeks not to save but to swerve.
He seeks to swerve so he can nerve.
He seeks to nerve so he can carve.
He seeks to carve so he can acquire.
He seeks to acquire so he can possess.
He seeks to possess that which he desire.
For he desires that which all men require.

He speaks he speaks, yes he speaks.
The crowd the crowd they listen, yes they listen.
They listen not to what the rogue says,
But pay attention to his charisma and manner,
They crave for things they can neither see nor touch,
They touch not the rogue for fear of being cursed,
They curse those who curse the rogue,
They model themselves to look like the rogue
For the rogue is like a god to them.

The rogue is a rogue because his imperialistic
Desires can never be quenched!
A religious bourgeois comprador he is,
Yes a religious bourgeois comprador he truly is.
He wears this with joy and pride and smile;
For every Sunday his pocket grows fatter than his ego.
A rogue he is; yes indeed, he is a rogue.

Stop dis ignorance of urs.

U living in d spiritual realm means abstinence frm evry form of flesh/sin. U can't be living in s spirit realm n allow a gal to handle ur "pudenda" as u called it....hw many gals even ve d courage to do so nowadays n if eventually she did..caution her.

Bout being touched in a sensitive way...I guess u mean if a gal rests her boobs on u mistakenly/intentionally....d feelin is gud n u may get aroused but since u knw wat u re tryin to avoid...just excuse ursef frm wer d gal is...a few steps away frm her doesnt cost anytin. All dis centers on hw u re able to control ur thoughts...ur thoughts gets u aroused.

Ur moniker is Joseph...am surprised u re even saying dis...or u didn't know hw Joseph escaped frm Potiphar's wife sexual advances. U can do more!

Lol.. But that's why the renga rules compliance criterion carries a mark of 50 points. Let me ask you a question, sir. If one of the contestants wrote their renga with a 5-7-5 8-8 which should be 5-7-5 7-7, what do we do? Do we disqualify them? It's almost impossible to have about half or more of the contestants come with a slight slip that would practically make their piece not to be called a renga, sir. Do we disqualify them all? Do we disqualify everyone who added an extra syllable or removed one from his haiku?

Bros...you harsh small eh grin

Any two poets that come to the table with a completely correct renga in syllable count and structure will be getting their complete 50 in that criterion, sir, and all slips bring deductions.
Okay oh bros. No vex abeg eh.

You and jigs distracted my flow with your mention, I was writing a rondeau. Now the inspiration is gone.

Good morning, Joseph. No, contestants that submit poems that aren't rengas won't be disqualified. The 'Renga Rules Compliance' criterion which carries 50 out of the 100 obtainable marks is there to cater for that. They might just score a zero in that.

And, a week was awarded in the first round to cater for those whom it will take some time to get in touch with their partners. I agree, though, that the time awarded in the second round where contacts have been established between all pairs shouldn't have been that much, and that, by God's grace will be corrected by next year's collaboration contest.
Then why is the contest call the 'Renga Fiesta' if contestants aren't writing Renga's? or obeying Renga rules or even contest rules? What those guys wrote is no way near anything call Renga, but who am I to criticize eh. Lol.

Jigsawkillah that's an automatic disqualification for them IMO. I wonder why they didn't even do their home work before embarking on writing the poem.

Llaykorn, I think the time accorded this competition is way too long. The contestants are given way too much time to take in writing the poems.

I believe a poet must let his imagination guide him/her thus making him/her write at the go. Not take forever to write.

I'm not a fan of slashers that's why I didn't get the clues. I've never watched a Jason movie but I've seen the posters and the mask. I watched Nightmare on Elm Street just once and I didn't watch it again.
Since you never saw the clue I knew if I had given you Camp Crystal Lake you still wouldn't know it, that's why I used the hockey mask. That's Jason Vorhees, the immortal. You haven't seen Freddie Vs Jason?
