ndcide: Which administration?
Stop deceiving yourself. We know your so called administration would rather die than to initiate a coronary inquest on the fraudulent administration amaechi presided over.
The people of rivers state, who you never believed he misgoverned are the ones pushing this and not any fraudulent central government whose definition of corruption starts and ends with the opposition party. And the EFCC is under which government? And who tha hell is we? |

midolian: Yeye pipu indeed. You need to see how they were jubilating over what Falana said(that which they twisted for some cheap points).
The chief wailer, I am sure is somewhere concocting some sour epistles on Buhari's 100days in office. Some of these pple you call his dawgs are the chief wailer himself. I am sure you won't believe this, but the guy has more accounts than any1 else on this forum. O ga oh!. But why would he go through all this trouble if he isn't getting paid like he's so denied many times? |

Poems For Review › Re: The Wishful Thinking Of A Nigerian. by joseph1832(op): 7:05am On Aug 27, 2015 |
llaykorn: This is a beautifully deep one, sir.
But joseph1832, do you think we really have drown ourselves in the rivers of self-pity over Nigeria? No, do you think we have a right to do that, even? I was watching the news last night and there was a special feature session about illegal Togolese immigrants crossing the land border in Semé, then I thought it out that if the Togolese population could be trying so hard to get into this country, then we still have reasons to be thankful.
Coincidentally, I was just about to ink a piece on how self pity destroys the self, rather than meloriate it.
This stanza is awesomely beautiful. I'm quite sure, though, that your analysis of it wouldn't match mine if we were to try that. The reason why the Togolese cross the border into Nigeria is the same reason why Nigerians cross borders illegally into Spain and other Europeans countries. Its not too late for us,I believe things can still take a good turn, but not unless we do away with tribalism/religious sentiment and of course, our narrow mindedness. The actions of just a few are the very reasons why we are still where we are today, that's why Nigerians need to be holistic in whatever we do because our actions just doesn't affect us alone. And thanks for liking that stanza, I'm surprise you don't recognized this poem, it was the last Nairaland poetry club assignment I did. |

SeverusSnape: Joseph the dreamer. Why he lost the election?... Simple, Because most Nigerians are gullible zombies, may be the secessionists are right when they call Nigeria a zoo. Yes the same gullible Nigerians that voted for PDP for the past 16 years right? And how come you didn't call them gullible when they were voting for PDP and GEJ? They transfered their gullibility to another person and you're complaining?. It shows that your blood is still very half and your brain too!. |

midolian: WailingWailers, how far na They will still hide their head in shame. Funny how the chief wailer have been missing in action for sometime now. Even his dawgs have also been on the low key. I believe without him, they can't function. Yeye people. SeverusSnape: You tried...No one is saying Jonathan is 100% clean, All we're saying is; Jonathan is far much better than those accusing him, Imagine Buhari, Oshiom-ole, Fash-ole, Atiku and that baboon of Ota. Jona is a saint compared to them. At least Falana attested to the fact that Jonathan fought corruption in his own way, He wasn't absorbing him. Yes he's a saint, so tell me, if he is a saint like you said how come he lost the election eh? Oh APC rigged it like the PDP have been doing since 1999? Abi. Still on still, your blood is still half. You death Eater!. |

I wish being married to you was bliss, that blossom like Cherry blossom, on a mid summer afternoon.
I wish being married to you Didn't make me mourn, With scorn, that put a frown on the face of the moon.
I wish being married to you painted the sky with words, that tell tales of swords, Which causes discord.
I wish being married to you didn't wipe my eyes with crimson red, that shed tears, that flow like the Nile.
I wish being married to you didn't make me sow seeds, that sprout weeds, on our bed of creeds.
I wish being married to you didn't cause so much pain, which brings so much gain, even for Kaduna to contain
I wish being married to you didn't make me realize, that, you are indeed, the Jezebel of my time
I wish being married to you didn't put a plaque, on my back, like the plague, that scorch the Hague
I wish being married to you didn't make my heart quake like Earthquake measuring 10 on the Richers Scale.
I wish being married to you didn't cause me so much grief, that made be believe, you are the chief thief.
I wish being married to you didn't make me feel trapped, and wrapped in a cocoon, of deceit and conceit.
I wish I could handle you, I wish I could cuddle you, I wish I could kiss you, I wish I could caress you.
I wish I could stand and bask Without wearing a mask, In the magnificence, Of your former presence
I wish I could divorce you, Oh Nigeria!. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Politics › Re: Buhari Registers For National Identity Card (photo) by joseph1832(m): 5:34am On Aug 27, 2015 |
BushidoBlue: Dude you should consider what you just said. You asked me when PMB came into power, yet you failed to ask yourself when the National ID card scheme came into existence, and that was almost a decade old, you also haven't asked the President why he previously didn't register(keyword being register) until now. Someone ran for president of a nation yet he didn't have the National ID card of the nation he was running for president of. To you that sounds patriotic? What are they feeding you guys ?
So in other words it's not compulsory to have a National ID card, then why bother in the first place? Or is this another photo op? Unbelievable. At the embolden, kindly show me where it is written that the National Identity card scheme is compulsory for every Nigerian. Yet again I ask you, when did PMB become president? Is it stated or a prerequisite that one must possess the National ID card in other to run for political office? So according to you one registering for the scheme mean one is patriotic? Like I once told you, "define patriotism" before I further engage you and show you that you're just speaking from your own short sighted perspective. |
Politics › Re: Buhari Registers For National Identity Card (photo) by joseph1832(m): 9:02pm On Aug 26, 2015 |
BushidoBlue: You know that it's been 10 years since the inauguration of that project right? Yet a President of a country just registering for a national ID card 10 years late is ok by you? What are you guys on?? Does that say much about patriotism? If it was saner climes he should be impeached for such an unpatriotic act. A whole president haba!!!!!
Wait, is it that he didn't believe in the process previously because it was done by the PDP led Administration he has been accusing of corruption Dude, before you start showing just how little or no knowledge you have about this, I ask you, when did PMB become President? And is it a crime as printed/enshrined in the constitution for one not to register for the identity card scheme? And which legislator have ever been impeached because he or she was unpatriotic?. You speak of patriotism, do you have any idea what the word even mean? All what you just said above clearly show you have no idea what you're talking about. |

Celebrities › Re: Jackie Chan To Visit Nigeria Sept. 4 by joseph1832(m): 7:36pm On Aug 25, 2015 |
bruno419: Famous Hong Kong actor and stunt artist, Chan Kong-sang, popularly known as Jackie Chan will visit Nigeria on September 4, 2015. Jackie Jackie Chan who is also a film director, producer and singer will not visit Nigeria in person but as a leading screen character in Dragon Blade, directed by Daniel Lee. Dragon Blade is Chan’s latest work that has been released theatrically in several countries of the world. It berths in Nigeria next month, with FilmOne acquiring the theatrical rights to exhibit it. Dragon Blade has remained a big hit since it was released last year. The movie headlined the 2014 Abuja International Film Festival where it won most of the top awards, including the best foreign film of the Fidelis Duker-led festival Critics who have seen the movie say the cinematographic splendor, sprawling battle scenes, unconvoluted story, memorable thrilling scenes, mind-blowing stunts with pints of comic relief synonymous with the legend makes Dragon Blade a movie worth seeing. Set in the year 48 BC, HuoAn (Jackie Chan) serves as the captain of the Protection Squad Silk Road. A Roman General named Lucius (John Cusack) flees to the East with his legion and Publius (Jozef Waite), heir of the ruling Roman Consul, to escape from the corrupt Emperor Tiberius (Adrien Brody), who plans to kill Publius and usurp the throne. They meet HuoAn at a frontier fort on the Silk Road, where they receive sanctuary. Tiberius and his army, who have pursued Lucius along the Silk Road, approach the fort with intention of killing Publius and ambitions of capturing and controlling the Silk Road. HuoAn decides to help Lucius and goes to his allies to recruit an army to fight against Tiberius. HuoAn arrives with reinforcements, and an epic battle like never seen before begins. According to the Chief Operating Officer of Filmone, Moses Babatope, also starring in the movie are other leading actors such as John Cusak (Golden Globe Winner), Adrien Brody (Academy Award Winner), Choi Si Won and Xiao Yang. Pointing that the film distribution company is pleased to be the distributor of the thrilling movie by the veteran actor Jackie Chan, Babatope said: “Certainly, he is a household name in Nigeria and indeed Africa, having achieved great things in his career. Now at 60, when people think he should be slowing down, the contrary is the case, as he has proven once more that that age has nothing to do with reaching your set goals. We are proud to be associated with this film and the Jackie Chan brand and we are confident that it will do well at the box office.”
