I age and still be at the board ..I am an Nnewi dude and I have seen first hand what the advantages of running your firm from small to big and compare it with the yes sir memo answering people and retrenchement

bro I choose the former ...I keep praying on that ..mind you I have enough work experience and I have a good job but this is the last job I am taking even if the offers come

its better to reign in hell than serve in heaven

no pastor will tell you that

I am scared of redundancy and gratituty at old age
I'm curious to know how you intend to make money at old age?.

I'm also self employed, I run my own business, but you fail to know not all firms go from small to big, check with the Corporate Affairs Commission the amount of registered businesses that fold up on daily basis on you'll be alarmed.

My problem with people like you is that you fail to know that "not all human can be self employed, because if everyone is self employed, who will work for who? Its just like giving everybody in Nigeria 5 million Naira just because you want to curb poverty.

Some people have the flare to run their own business, others do not, it all boils down to what you as an individual want, not what one motivational speaker is throwing at you.

You said "it is better to reign in hell than serve in heaven", well I'll tell you it is better to "serve in heaven and have peace of mind than reign in hell and worry". (Hope you get my drift?).
PoliticsRe: DPR Seals NNPC, Forte Oil, 12 Other Petrol Stations-the Punch by joseph1832(m): 9:33am On Aug 22, 2015
bushdoc9919:
Fuel susbsidy removal will end all this stealing.

Want to know why?

Because at N87 our fuel sellers are not making any profit.

A businessman goes into business to make profit. Landing fees for fuel are more than N100 per liter. We import a lot of the fuel used in this country. Subsidy pays the difference. Meaning....little or no profit. Meanwhile, our fuel marketers have staff to pay, equipment to maintain and buy , and the wife's annual trip to Dubai to fund. wink. Hence the shenanigans......because a business man must make profit. (Unless you want to run an economy influenced by Marxist-Leninist principles).

And anyway, fuel is being sold at over N100 in many stations across the country. N87 exists only in Lag and in Abuja.(My folks bought fuel several weeks ago in Niger State at N170 per liter. DPR....won't go there).

In my opinion, fuel subsidy has to go. We are pouring money down a bottomless pit.Plus....we do not have enough money to subsidsze fuel....what with the fall in international oil prices .(The UAE and Saudi are contemplating removing subsides on fuel this year....and they have far more money saved than we do). GEJ made many mistakes....but proposing to remove fuel subsidy was not one of them(especially when SLS and NOI were in agreement....rare event, even now).PMB should remove fuel subsidy and do what GEJ tried to do....spend part of the money on mass transit projects.

Sorry Nigerians.....but either crude oil goes back up to 100 dollars per barrel or higher......or we go broke spending money on subsidies. Fellow Nigerians....tighten your seatbelts. Our time machine has taken us back to the 1980's.
And when they remove fuel subsidy how much will a litre of petrol be sold?

And you should know, making profit doesn't literary translate to ripping people off. Besides, if all the funds stolen away from Nigeria hasn't crippled the economy, is see no reason whatsoever why we can go broke.

one day you will either be tired ,fired or retired so never you think of that and have you ever thought having your own firm apart from money helps the society by employing others .if people didn't open that shell would you aspire to be a CEO

people like you are bad for companion you can pioson a positive mind

learn how to believe in yourself and never be a wage slave

a slave is a slave be it in Ibadan or Iberia
And people like you are no different from pastors who get rich of the sweat of the multitude by feeding them abstracts and half truths.

And I suppose in having your own business, you won't be tired, retired or fired right? That is when you're old you won't retire of fire yourself because you can work and run your business forever?.

You're myopic in your thinking if you believe everybody must be self employed, and you have the worst understanding of what slavery is about.

If they want an Office of the first lady they should create it instead of telling us _bullshit about the source of funds for her "VOLUNTARY" activities.
Ever heard of "sourcing for funds?'

That is a flimsy excuse frm Buhari gov..the family of the affected ppl was given immidiate jobs and #71m by the past administration and even embacked on a smooth recruitment prior to the election...there is more to it!
Is that right? How about I kill your brother and give you 5 million Naira, I bet you'll like that won't you?.
PoliticsRe: Why FG Suspended Comptroller General Of Immigration – Femi Adesina by joseph1832(m): 10:04pm On Aug 21, 2015
If it was the era of GEJ the controller general would still be holding on to his job while the PDP blame the APC.

I'm just glad the era of impunity and do anyhow is behind us. Aside this, PMB should launch a full scaled investigation into the Immigration Job Scam.

no. His life and times written by another author whose name I cannot presently recall. But I still have the book in my shelves in the village house where most of our antiquities are bedded. I owe the spirit to my dad, my elder brother and one amb. Blankson in whose masterly tutelage I learnt a lot in finding a shortcut from long wandering.
Okay.

How old are u? U have an aesthetic dexterity in ryhmes and a literal flexibility in the choice of words. This is a poem worth reading by all youths as they grow to adulthood, esp the malefolk who are more likely to have thier dreams belittled or outrigtly truncated by certain relationship issues of life. When I was a teenager, atimes of serious mind issues, I took time out and write my pains and observations on a paper as poems and random musings - the pains goes off as soon as the ink hits the paper! I read with ease, passion and understanding, books like Long walk to freedom, Che Quevera and Salman Rushdie's Satanic Verses when I was in high sch! They helped me grow in mind and head! Some Kids of nowadays prefare the opposite of what we craved for...
Well I had girls...they also inspired me to do more to impress them.
grin kudos op
Did Ernesto Che Guevara co write Satanic Verses with Salman Rushdie?.

economics experts say Nigerian economy is miracle, no amount of learning will make you totally understand it.
Well I believe that's because we operate a parallel economy.

All what economic expects predict on are what is on the records. There are many money making ventures that are not even on record.
PoliticsRe: Senator Anyim’s Office Got N1.4b Computer Software - Senator Abaribe by joseph1832(m): 1:13pm On Aug 21, 2015
1.4billion over a computer software? And barcanista and his goons are shouting that Fashola built a website for 10million.

Well I'm not surprised, Maina stole 23 billion, he can't even be found, nobody knows where he is, a guy stole Gov. Aregbesola's phones and all hell broke loose.

Really, are we really sane in this country?.

this thing they have been crying foul about, now they cant sustain it any longer, as prophesied.

this subsidy thing reminds of my first time with a starry eyed virgin name bose.

bose: aaaaaaah

me: what!

bose: you are hurting me!

me: should I remove it?

bose: NOOOOOOOO!
Hence your post just reminded me of this song, "e dey pain you, yes! Make I commot am, no! I go manage am so!.

I have no idea who sang it but it makes perfect sense. Economy can't sustain subsidy yet many still loot like no mans business and yet the economy still hasn't collapsed.

Failed marriages and divorce are part of life. Nobody deserves to spend eternity being in a relationship that doesn't work any more.

Your poem is nice. The message is clear, but a little bit cryptic. Keep it up.

I hate it when girls start talking about the future when its not time to talk about the future.

What brought wedding into this?
That's how the build castles in the sky.

I can vividly imagine how deep she is by what she just said, I mean if the guys height is what is disturbing her and she's already imagining how he is going to kiss her on their wedding day instead of her focusing on whether the guy is the type of guy that will make her happy, I mean that says it all.

Nigerian girls (many) will never fail to amaze me, instead of them to think of the long term (marriage) they're busy focusing on the short term (wedding).
