Any other advice
Am 24, strong and agile, gat energy to work LEGITIMATELY o... I can pay for my flight ticket tho One reason why Canadian employers would employ foreigners over citizens is that such foreigner would posses a unique skill that might be difficult to find a citizen to possess... This happens very rarely... You should either go through the study route or EE... ALL WILL BE WELL!!! |

Ketima: Hello my fellow applicants.
Sorry about the lenghty post
I just want to chip in on this use of dealing with somebody you don't know to either help you in one financial help or the other. Or act as your agent. I know opinion may not be relevant, but is for those that really wants to know.
In 2020, I started my Canada study plans. I began by buying a book to record all my researches. YES I BOUGHT A BOOK FOR IT. Am they type don't believe that I cant do it. Even if I can't, I must try. To the point, I have a book about all the province in Canada, how many colleges and universities in each province, and also all the towns in each province lol . Until i narrowed it down to the universities I want to apply (based on cost and fast, easy immigration plans).
After that I went to study Permit process. I started with Canavisa forum, cos I didn't know then that this group existed. I had 32 gig phone, almost 5gig was screenshot of relevant info I think I may need and stored for reference when I will need them. The only info I don't get from Canadavisa forum was it will hard that get master's with 2.2, but thank God I got lucky at the last minute, i scaled through and got one.
Now when it was time for study permit, behold I came across this group when I was thinking how can a whole Nigeria not have forum for study in Canada. I found this group and boom I started my usual screenshots from the beginning. Bombarded gurus with questions and they really came to my rescue.
But then It baffled me, I met an applicant like me, we exchanged pleasantries and he is using agent. I was shocked when they Applicant knows nothing regarding Canada study permit. I mentioned upfront, for wia no idea. I mentioned NSE, for wia. No idea. All he knows was biometrics, the one he did in lekki. Tell me, why won't an agent mess him or her up, when he or she has no idea of the program (study permit) he or she just applied. My point here is, as an applicant, please is important you know all these things, so that you know when an agents tells you something contrary to what is obtainable and as well not let the useless agents hand you 5year ban on a platter of gold.
On the issue of who will help you pay tuition fee, application fee. That same guy dt wanted scam Rootiab, chatted me when I was asking questions about form A and how to go about it paying tuition. He came with promise to help me pay, I laughed and told him form A will help me pay it. If form A won't, then I will ask my relatives in Canada. So I don't need him. He never disturbed me again.
So point here is, please we have form A, make use of it for Tuition fees. Then for applications, cos of this, I had to go and open a domiciliary account, went to aboki to exchanged at 478/dollar. Paid it into the dorm account. Mind you I have relative in Canada, but mehn I want to be sure that I did everything myself. Most of us did MMM and lost millions and didn't cry, not be to exchange dollar at 478 with aboki that will kill me for just one time payment.
In summary, let's try to do all these things by ourselves but if an agent must do it for you, please have knowledge of the whole process. cos most of all this agents are messing things up for us. As well as those yeye brothers who wants to dupe us, na God go judge una. Is only in situation that you know you can't do without the help of someone that you can gamble it. Like I recently did gamble one with a good fellow I met here, but let it be finance that you can get over with or let it not be what that can land you almighty 5year ban.
That's my own intake.
Please @ guru frank, still waiting for your final email review before I hit the summit buttons . We all shall smile to Canada in no distant time. Ketima! Hi! Quick one pls. Regarding funding your dorm account, how did you get the money into your account? Cos I heard that cbn policies says cash deposited on the counter to account CANNOT be transferred, rather it can only be withdrawn. Did you get the aboki to transfer to your dorm Acc or how did you do it?. |

JustMellow: Hello JosephYemsol,
There is no actual value of how lump sum is classified. It boils down to how the account has been previously run/operated and the range(s) of inflows that has previously been entering into the account.
Let's see these examples:
If Mr. A is a salary earner with constant inflows of NGN 5.00 within the last six (6) months to one (1) year, then suddenly, NGN 10.00 or NGN 15.00 entered the account, that's considered as a lump sum.
If Mrs. AB is a businesswoman with constant inflows of NGN 5.00 to NGN 20.00 within the last six (6) months to one year, then suddenly NGN 15.00 entered the account, that's not considered to be a lump sum. Though its still advise to briefly point out the origin of the funds, if applicable.
I hope its clear enough?!
Cc: Femredhead
Best of Luck Thank you so much!!! Understood clearly... Thank you sir. |

@justmellow, @frankrobbn, @lekiboboe. Pls can you give us a value on "lump sum"... At how much do we need to give explAnation.
For instance... My account has smelled 3m transfer at once in the past 6 months. Does that mean that any lump sum that's more than 3m must be explained? |

Baphil: For POF, I merged their Nigerian and foreign bank accounts. I uploaded a generated mybankstatement codes and passwords for the Nigerian bank accounts. Luckily their banks are listed as banks that generate mybankstatement codes.
I also uploaded their foreign bank accounts.
I may not tell you exactly the amount but I can confirm it is over the required 30,000CAD for NSE. I guess that's why they didn't request for it and I also uploaded for Nigerian banks.
I hope this is clarifying enough.
All the best. Oh, so you generated mybankstatement right away... Cool.. I think I'll do Ielts, submit the result with my application, then send d mybank statement as well... With this, they should not ask for any other doc other than to just send me a mail that my application will be processed NSE |

JustMellow: Hello JosephYemsol,
From what I understand about your post, you only want to use the gift of funds to demonstrate your LE and to answer the question of fund lodgement. If this is correct, then there is no need for the Gift Deed since her BS won't be used to support your application.
You can directly from her account purchase GIC except you want the funds to first hit your account before it is used to achieve its purpose. Then you can use the Deed Gift to answer the question of lump sum.
Sorry if I missed your application storyline. In the first paragraph, I proferred my answer from a self-sponsored perspective.
Best of Luck Thank you so so much sir.... You perfectly got my case correctly.... I'll do exactly as advised then.... Thanks so so much once again... Now I feel a little relaxed. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by JosephYemsol(m): 12:04pm On Jan 06, 2021 |
JustMellow: Hello JosephYemsol,
To the best of my knowledge, I will advice you against such Gift except you have a well justifiable and strong proof of relationship over the years with any of the mentioned institutions.
A Gift of Deed holds solid weight if it comes from your parents, guardian or siblings. With proven relationship to these mentioned category of people, you don't necessarily need to include their BS but you may decide to include just the telex/receipt of transaction. However, there is no harm either to include their BS if it will help you breath better. The cover page & transactional page is also sufficient to prove the origin of the funds.
The Deed of Gift is most suitable for self-sponsored applicants. There is someone here who used the Deed of Gift and was successful.
Before considering getting a Gift Deed, ensure your level of economic establish and source of income/employment is solid. This is to avoid "Personal Asset & Financial Status" and Insufficient Funds. Ensure to analyze every aspect of your personal circumstances too.
Best of Luck Thank you so much sir for the detailed explanation. The gift is coming from my mum, using her school's account details (she's the owner of the primary school) I'm also employed and I intend to provide my salary account BS, pay slip for 1 year, pension account details and also an affidavit of support from my dad ( house property worth 15m). All of these documents will be provided in addition to a 1 year tuition fee receipt and a GIC certificate of 10kcad which I will purchase using the money from the gift deed. I hope this is fine sir? @justmellow |
