KellyKk: Pls gurus in the house ! I have paid my first semester fees 9kCD and in my SOP I didn’t state it that it has been paid but the prove of payment was uploaded though . In this case with the receipt will the VO be aware payment as been made ? Plus my mom is sponsoring me with 29m in her account and I myself get 10m in my personal account . Plssssssssssss talk on this guys Baba relax, u v nothing to worry about... It's better that way than u mentioning it in your sop and not uploading the receipt... Since it's attached to your uploaded docs, it's fine.. As for your mum being your sponsor,it all depends on how well you package it in your sop... 29m is more than enough POF provided there is no lump sum within 6 months |

Jioke1994: Ok. Tnx a lot. Pls, can u give me ur WhatsApp number, let me even send the rejection letter to u. Main sponsor: Uncle ( bank statement...35+mill) Co-sponsor: Mum...2.5mill I didn't use my own acct statement. Mum's sponsorship letter. Uncle's sponsorship letter and affidavit of support. SOP No NSE, but my agent explained. Tuition deposit of 8160 CAD stated in my Acceptance letter. As I plan to reapply...I'll include all my mum's landed properties. How about that? The uncle is d issue... It has always been emphasized here that uncle/aunty is not a strong enough POF, especially when there's no form of commitment (like paying tuition, opening GIC) |

RollyA: my only worry is, my application isnt following the usual dynamics i have seen here. i have seen people's eligibility starting months after submitting. my own eligibility changed and started like a day after i submitted, and that since April 18. it has been that way ever since. no ghost update since May when i passed my meds. gcms notes eligibility blank. so its a really worrisome situation. Relax sir , m very sure your PPR is by the corner |

shupy: This is not even about Nigerians. I'm referring to the experiences of Indians and Philippines living in UAE, Saudi Arabia e.tc. home tie becomes a bigger hurdle to study permit when you're an expatriate. One common question people ask on canadavisa.com when an applicant get refusal notification is "where did you apply from?". There's a reason for that. This is not based on assumption. Una still get time to reply this when u suppose go dey celebrate your ppr.... Congrats once again... E be like say u r now named a guru by some nairalanders ooo.. Go n Xcel n Canada bro ... See u soon!!! |

Omankem8: I beg to disagree. If you're self sponsored, try to pay one year tuition, have enough funds for one year. If you have more, better. If you work, and you're on a study leave with pay, that covers it all. If you can fund a GIC, do so, if not, it's also fine. U sef see d number of IFs that u added. This is just to show how difficult it could get when self sponsoring... Meanwhile, I only said it's a recommended advice, I didn't say it's mandatory, therefore, we r both saying the same thing sir/ma... |

HorlarJP: Good afternoon Nairalanders, someone told me to go for advanced diploma instead of undergraduate course because I have a professional diploma certificate in Nigeria already, he said advanced diploma is cheaper and it’s 2 years while undergraduate courses will be more expensive and he also said I should get my GCMS notes to know the VO concern for my previous refusal and that I might have a more better chance this time since I have a professional diploma already and going for advanced diploma . What do you think guys ? By saying professional diploma certificate, is it equivalent to ND/HND/BSC in Nigeria? If yes, it's best to go for a PGD/PGC, I mean post graduate diploma. This shows career progression... |

In my opinion, it's better than the paper based... For W, you'll clearly be typing, as against writing with pencils if it were the paper-based. |
