That was my mistake. Her raw expletives especially were shocking to me but it was all talk I came to know
all is forgiven now. i remember someone attacking me for saying she was not as bad as she comes across. she made sense most of the time but being in a forum where people can easily hate from thread to thread didnt help.

most of my sisters are her cabon copy. you will never read them right listening to them. we name some idiag , adafi and those wicked names. surprise surprise they are all married and having peaceful homes. i always loved her and wish her well. we should learn to argue without getting too personal

Thanks Kiss
I never appreciated Almond joy this much until she left nairaland.
all that gragra was all talk
.
That girl is one happily married woman
she is so respectful of her husband.
I had great admiration when she told me she left Nairaland as a birthday present for her husband.
That is a woman who knows what marriage is all about.
Compromising to keep the marriage happy
.
Like i always said about her she is one seriously happy lady. most people took her too seriously and didnt know she was a bendel woman first and foremost.

i could always read between the line and fell in love with her. i like women with brilliant minds. people who dont fall easily under presure are my favourites.

God blessings be on you all that are great examples to us all
RomanceRe: What Effect Does Marriage Have On You? by joshjosh(m): 1:17am On Sep 22, 2008
you will notice i said many not all. you would be shocked that most of the women you called stay at home generations were actually working more than the men.

i grew up in my grand ma's house bought and built by her trading. she was happily married till the day she saw God. my mum traded lagos, benin onitsha ran stores and didn't do 9-5 like this so called generation of independent people.

i think this generation bought into a lie that is hurting them. check to see how many dating sites and chat rooms there are today. lonely independent people. how independent? news papers all over the world are busy raking in money from independent misguided singletons.

life is easier than most of think if you can use your brain and answer to being a human being first and foremost
Gucci_Babe:
its not about broken home, my parents are very much together. This is modern days, the type of love they show eachother is different from our new generations. In the past women depend on their husband, most of them are stay at home mums ( which there is nothing wrong with that) but this day and age things are totally different. women is as independent as the man in their lives. so its from a totally different point of view
RomanceRe: What Effect Does Marriage Have On You? by joshjosh(m): 1:08am On Sep 22, 2008
it doesn't hurt that you have a good brain sitting on your shoulders. you, adebo and AJ and some few others are a breath of fresh air on nairaland. if some old women know what you just said they would not be moving from place to place looking for husbands. it is easy to control a man if you are calm and non confrontational. you dont have to win every argument

i always remember you for good

_Queenisha:
Going to sports bars no I
he's a die hard sports fan.

secondly there has been business ventures he wanted to go it but I didn't feel good about them and advised him and he went with my opinion and later thanked me for the advice.
If he were a singl eman he wouldn't need anyone's opinion on that.

thirdly he recently went out and test drove and brought home a brand new car which they let him keep for 2 days to make up his mind,I talked him out of it and he returned it.
He calls me an intelligent woman and I know God has blessed me with that gift.
My earlier mistake when we were newly married was to say my opinions as a matter of fact and insist that was the way things would go and he refused them not because they were not sound opinions but because of the way they came out.
Why?
because he's a man
that's the way they are
they are wired differently and we can't do anything about it.
That's the way God made them.

They are go getters and don't care much about details like women do.
They are not emotional beings like us
It took me years to get this.
It takes a smart woman to know how to pass on the message without hurting their ego
Trust me
If your man acted like a woman, you wouldn't like it.

Na lie. Gini has he given up? Nothing.
i think one major problem this generation has is many are coming from broken homes or homes with step this step that relationships that takes ages to explain. if you come from a home where you saw love and all this non rocket science respect and give and take here and there all this queenisha is saying here will not sound allien.

we all need God and His love to help us prefer our partners more than ourselves. our natural flesh and mr and mrs flesh always only love itself and no other.

u are so lucky
@tope2000 Luck has nothing to do with it. a good marraige is a blessing from the Lord. i know this is hard to take now but it is true. if she was one of those sleeping with everything that moves in trousers God would never have given her one of His best.

most people want to have their proverbial cakes and eat it. we would all love that but sadly life is real. marraige is not meant for everyone. or as my ma inlaw says everyone cannot be happily married.

listen to counsel and work out how you can get to know you, yes know your very lovely self better before you even begin to let others into your life. someone said life is a theatre. invite your audience carefully.

marraige is an honourable institution. it can make you or mar you. be prepared to invest more than you get out of it. i think that is where the selfish i, me and myself generation fails. everyone like the wedding and the ceremony which is just one day. marraige is the hard work.

he created too many enemies for himself that came back to bite him. knowing africans this may just be the begining of the reduction or destruction of the ANC as a party which may be a good thing. i cant see him and his wing of the party working for the people that sent them parking.

this will never happen in nigeria. nigerians almost look indebted to our "theives leaders".

this is a beautiful thing that people on top should know power dont belong to them.

there is no tribalism here. I just want to clarify that because a crime is committed in a certain geographical location doesn't m,an that it was committed by the indigenes besides, it's not right to talk down on people, it's  not very nice. i detest the crime and violence involved tho.
auntie funmi,  i had  thanksgiving too early for you didnt i?  this your lesser hajj seems to be waning quick now.  anyway someone else is reporting this on nairaland. what do you think?  evil and wickedness has no tribal marks otherwise you will say  ibos do all the political violence you see in yaruba land.  you may want to watch this clip. if you are too busy  just move  to 4.30 minutes and see how nigerians never seems to learn any lessons

Romade Kidnaps A Yoruba Boy
« on: Today at 10:18:10 AM »

A yoruba girl named ROMADE was having financial troubles,
so she decided to kidnap a child and demand a ransom.
She went to a local park, grabbed a little boy,
took him behind a tree and wrote this note:

I have kidnapped your child.
Leave N10,000 in a plain brown bag
behind the big tree in the park tomorrow by 7 AM.

Signed - "ROMADE"

She pinned the note inside the boy's jacket and told him to go straight home.
The next morning, she returned to the park to find the N10,000 in
a brown bag, behind the big oak tree, just as she had instructed.
Also inside the bag was the following note:

"Here is your money. I cannot believe that one Yoruba would do
this to another."
cruel joke this is bt fully

Boy, 16, rapes 65-year-old woman

By Adeolu Adeyemo - 16.09.2008

OYO State police command on Monday paraded a 16-year-old Junior Secondary School student in Ibadan, John Vincent, for allegedly raping a 65-year-old woman at Iwo Road area of the city without condom.

Also paraded along with Vincent was his alleged accomplice, Remi Okebukola, who told newsmen that he was one of the rapists and explained that they were three in number before the third person ran away.

The suspects, who also allegedly dispossessed the woman of N15,000, admitted that they committed the crime. Okebukola added that he was invited by Vincent to launch an attack on the woman and help in holding her before the rape was carried out.

“I was discussing with another friend when the boy came and pleaded with me to join him in carrying out the act. He was the first to rape the woman while I held her from the back.

“She could not resist much after the boy finished his round of sex and I took over before the police came and picked us up,” he explained. Speaking on the development while parading the suspects, the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Bashiru Azeez, said the suspects had confessed to the crime.

According to him, a team of policemen from the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) visited the scene of the incident around 11:30 p.m on August 22 while the act was on.

that brings me to the small matter of david, it is such a strange world that some people just want to sleep around and get different results from others.   the other day my ma inlaw saw something on AIT and asked are naija men really like this?  i wish i was old enough to get the word for her.  we men have to be grateful we are not the women at the end of the cruelty and lies of a misguided Nigerian man's tongue.  majority of our sad men and sadly the young ones now don't believe in anything and don't know where to draw the line  other than quick sex and money.  God help our women and our people.

sitawoman,my family never like him from the beginning because of that they don't want to know.
i am so sorry to hear your wahala.  this is the reason i always say people should always remember their family don't always mean harm.  i remember some thread back with some people  saying go with man/woman and forget your family.  your family will almost always be there for you.

back to the topic,  my advice to you is work out ways to get on with your life.  6yrs is a lot to waste. your life and childrens lives is too precious to waste and no man is worth wasting your life for.

listen if you truly had money  you invested in the business there must be a record of it through your bank account .  that is all you need to prove what you invested in the business. if he says that is not true  he will need to show where he got the funds from. saying he got it from auntie susu and co doesn't hold water so don't be afraid.

whatever you do always know somehow your future is now linked because of the kids and do not do anything that will make the relationship with the kids difficult.

i wish you luck and hope you take wisdom and understanding along with you

davidylan:
Na wa o. You are really in deep trouble. Did you go into this with your two eyes closed?
david what a question. you make me laugh these days. it is good to know you are well and going about your daily business

jemima2007:
sistawoman   - i don't have money to get a lawyer
being in canada, i would have thought there would be women organisation/s to take on cases like this. there must be.  be relaxed and get your brains working so you can remember what trips and cash you did for the business side of the relationship.  others have gone through this route before. you will not be the first  so there is already a formular to work this out.

having said this, i must warn that if there is any shoody business along the way there may be trouble on a different scale. do take care and start working your way out of this.  marraige is not hell and should never be a prison term. it is meant to be enjoyed and not endured

SERIOSLY DO NOT MARRY YET.  wedding is one day - marraige is a life time. headaches dont come closer than a bad relationship. you have a better chance of stopping this folly now. it is safer to catch up than clean up. bad relationships eat deep into your soul. i can  see you are getting its ingredient ready. dont go near the kitchen yet please.
listen to the advice below again and probably read it again and again. it will help you and others waiting to jump into relationships because of age, loneliness and other thouand and one wrong reasons people have for jumping into wrong relationships.
There is somebody, somewhere that God has ordained for you. All you need do is to rely on Him.
TOTAL TRUST IN GOD. At the appointed time the right person would show up

this is the problem with nigerians and why you always have violence and extreme troubles in your midst.  we like things like this.  this is an open forum. you tell lies , you want the lies to stand despite the evidence showing it to be lies. you have no problem with doing and tolerating injustice but you want a just society always. so sad

if you go back you will notice i only ever made my comments to david and gamine who are fabulous young minds and can hold thier own court anywhere anyday.

truth be told these kind of churches people are condeming here can only thrive in greedy enviroments. that would not look like nigeria to some people.  i said it before God is not a money doubler. only in greedy environments would people believe that kind of con. go on with your vote and good  luck
