It's an attempt at moving away from a cash based economy. There's never a time cash would be much like it used to....Let that sink.!!!!

The maximum the CBN would inject into the economy would be in the region of 1 Trillion, disproportionate to the approximately 3 Trillion previously..Let it sink!!

The president in his address never said the #500 and #1000 are not legal because he is not permitted to.
The president only advised that the cbn is now open to receive the deposits of th same notes

Am not bothered. CBN has it right to decide when and what is to be issued as legal tender and when to remove it from the economy.

Supreme court has no rights of telling CBN what to do in terms of currency.

Those supporting this are fools. We have been gradually goin through the process and becoming use to it.

Another thing people fail to understand about this regime is the man called Buhari, his decisions before coming in public are irreversible. Look at border closure on rice, Bvas and some other crucial things. This policy has come to stay. If you like die, the short term suffering can not be more than the long term enjoyment this will bring in the future.

The last time I checked, NYSC doesn't pay corpers using cash. Besides, CBN has branches in all the 36 states and the FCT. They kicked off Cash Swap program that targets unbanked Nigerians in rural communities. Those corps members should access cash through that channel, if they really need cash.

Unless the CBN drops this policy, everyone must embrace it. Cashless payments have more benefits than carrying cash about. Our problem is that we are obsessed with cash payments, and we are struggling to come to terms with the new normal.

I don't think so, almost the banks are presently overwhelmed with the whole new & old note saga, The violence from angry customers, sanctions from ICPC , CBN etc. completing recruitment process is the last thing on their mind right now. i'm pretty sure when the dust settles they will get back to applicants
