You got all the information from the thread and after you are done you went to form private groups so that the information may not be in public again....... it is now we know that the thread is now public ........ one thing I know is that whether with or without joining your what's app group we will still get all the information needed. sad angry angry angry

Summary of what this thread stand for...... Thanks for the information

drI:
Dear All, Good day. I have been a silent guest on this forum for a very long while and it has helped me tremendously. I really want to give back a little from my experience so far.
I am currently in the US to have my baby and I would like to share my POE situation at the Houston POE which I arrived last week.
First and foremost I want to inform us all that the immigration officers are on this page and read it all the time. They specifically mentioned this page to me and asked me to inform the house that they are with us. Not to scare anyone as I presume they may even be amongst us giving some input and guidance to us. He laughed at the change I intent letter we talk about here. I had it handy based on what I read here but i didn't even need to show it to him especially since he had laughed about how silly he thinks it is. My saving grace was that I had applied for the visa for vacation when I wasn't pregnant and I mentioned when asked that I will use it for child birth in future if I get pregnant. He saw that in my record. pls note that i was specifically asked this question and sincerely i thank God i was otherwise i may not have volunteered the information myself. However the Immigration officer at the POE says some of us will say we were not asked and it doesn't really matter we should have declared from the onset.
Secondly please always say the truth. No matter the cost. When you lie it apears like you are unscrupulous and can't be trusted.
Thirdly, let's not be scared of saying we want to give birth in the US. Both the consular officer and the immigration guy told me it's very legal to give birth in the US of you can pick the bills. All that is required is that you demonstrate that you know the bills and can comfortably pick them.
Finally please always always pick your bills and have your itemised receipts and zero balance handy. it's really unfair for us to use the Medicaid or other health insurance in the US. The citizens are taxed heavily for these services and getting it is like stealing literally. pls let's not do that . Sometimes we can be cohersed and tempted to do that even by some hospitals and doctors but don't fall into that trap. And as the nice guy I may at the POE adviced pls don't sign anything while in Labour. you may not be cordinated enough to read through properly. God bless.

FamilyRe: Is It Right To Say 'Thank Ma' To Your Mother-In-Law After Eating? by jossy404: 11:37am On Mar 26, 2017
@OP ....it is actually a cultural thing. If you are from Urhobo or Isoko land and some igbo land you thank all the elders around one by one whenever you finished eating ........but if you are from Yoruba a simple appreciative gesture is okay for all.

Same goes for Yoruba prostrating when greeting ......while a typical south-South person see it as not right to prostrate before humans.......

Summary: cultural differences

Emirates baby ticket is 10% of your own ticket. Our own baby ticket is $65 and we pay thru phone which is quite easy if you have US bank account. U will pay for only one way. I believe u can also buy it at the airport.

adupif:
Hello,

Will be glad if someone could help out with Emirates Ticket for a baby and how to go about it.

Did you call before getting to the airport
Can it only be purchased at the airport
Was it a one way or return
How much did it cost
What is the baggage allowance

Thank you.

Hello everyone, good morning. I am filling my visa form for me and DH, i got to where they asked for when one is entering the us and when you plan to leave. Also for the address. I am a little bit confuse. What if i filled a particular time and did not enter or leave at the time. Please i really need help i beg. Thanks ,
In front of that column you will see a note that says give estimated time, you don't necessarily need to enter or leave US at the time you gave in your form.

Well for our own we choose b2 for both of us and our visa when it came out carry B1/B2

TOKNOW:
My dear, for your own, when you click B1/B2, another question will come up saying specify, then you click on B2 which is for medical. For your hubby and daughter, when you click B1/B2, then for the specify question, choose vacation and tourism/ tourism and business.
