What is the definition of "afford"? You went to buy a Toyota Camry 2017 which normally cost $100 dollars and a dealer gave you a discount $80 then because you can "afford" you went to pay $1000. Is that the definition of Afford.

You cant proof its the $80 discount you are given that constitute a crime now it's the address you use on your receipts........

Please i need enlightenment, if you visit the same hospital are you not going to pay the same price quoted above for the same purpose if you are paying out of pocket? or is there something i dont know? am asking because many people visit US hospitals not only for birth but for other issues and they paid the exact money quoted by those hospital in cash, how as that amounted to a crime? Agreed it's their country and its their visa, how is it reasonable for me to see two hospitals rendering the same services or procedures and you ask me to go for the higher cost. @Twood i actually need your input here maybe there is a policy that majority are not aware of as regard Medical Visit in US

The VO was right. If the average American paid $6400 for childbirth, healthcare costs would not be the massive problem it is today. My wife got a less than 30 minute non invasive procedure that did not require her to be anaesthesized two weeks ago, it cost us over $2100.

The truth is you’re paying costs usually reserved for the poor US citizens. That’s why she asked for the contact address you claimed when your son was born.

I understand that you have to defend this as this is essentially your livelihood at stake. However, the whole point of the reduced "discounts" was strictly for US citizens who cannot afford insurance. It was not meant to be abused by non-citizens. That the government is slow getting around to removing this loophole does not make it justified.

Sorry for plenty question, how did you attached all this documents online......seem you merge some docs this is because online application has limited attachments and also how did u go about the medical insurance requested.?

A detailed LOE stating my name, what i do and where i work, purpose of visit, amount made available for the trip, details of hospital and doctor i will be using. Details of how long the three of us intend to stay.

I also wrote a detailed letter addressing the prior refusal.

I think this is about all. Generally, i feel if you will be declaring your intention for childbirth, they want to know you have the finance to cover the cost and any contigencies and they also want to see the plans you have made regarding hospital and doctor who you will be using in canada and the cost.

NB, the embassy later sent a request letter to include a proof of medical insurance to cover my stay in Canada

Here is my feedback.

Applied for canada visa in january this year. Hubby, mum and i. Purpose was for tourism. I stated in my LOE that i will be using the visa for childbirth. We jad 5k euros in our dom acct. Visa was denied. Reason base on purpose of visit and financial or personal asset.

Reapplied again in march. Hubby, mum and i. Stated tourism for hubby and mum. Stated others and childbrith for myself. Account balance this time was 10M. I wrote a detailed letter addressing the previous refusal and also wrote a LOE. Included a budget sheet. Hospital correpondence, itinerary of places hubby will visit during his stay. All other documents that we included in the previous application. Visa granted this time.

Good day all, please is it true that visa office like d one in Lagos cannot track online applications........that they can only track paper application or how can one get or track the status of your online applications .....

Wait ooo........it's like people are not going to Canada this days OR they just decided not to give back OR Canada no dey give visa again?
