Few questions i want to ask is: 1) Have you birth in USA before or recently? 2) Did you apply to USA recently or have a pending application? The way this people they do this days nobody even understand them again...........even with your financial capacity... Maggiespecial: Hello good morning Bigger thanx to everyone here for your contributions so far God bless you all.
Unfortunately, we were denied visa yesterday. Got the mail n we are planning to reapply.
Please, these are the reasons why the visa was denied: They are not satisfied that we will leave Canada at the end of our stay: 1. based on travel history 2. Based on family ties in Canada and Nigeria 3. Based on Personal assets and financial status.
Firstly, I will like to say it's only my husband that has traveled to UK before, and we both went to Dubai last year for Xmas and New year
Secondly, what do they mean by family ties because we are going there for tourism and we are going to stay in an hotel (Husband, wife n our Son) Do they want us to leave our son (1yr old baby) OR they want only my husband to go or only me to go, please I don't understand. Kindly explain to me please...
Thirdly, We av two landed properties in Nigeria but we didn't attach it to it when applying, is that what they means by Personal assets?? And can we attach it now when reapplying??
Lastly, concerning the financial asset, we av over 10M naira in my husband account as the Sponsor for the trip, so y the financial status?? And my husband works in one on the biggest and recognized company in Nigeria
I will like pple here to please and please put me through on what to do. We are planning to reapply Nextwk because we planned to spend our Summer in Canada
Infact, we want to visit alot of places like Niagara fall We attached our hotel reservations, flight booking, places we want to visit etc.
I am so sorry for the long post. Kindly help me out by putting me through. Thank you all as I look forward to your swift response. |

This one is strong ooooooo Only if people will hear......... Nersh: I will advise you stay away from agents entirely. Read up, ask and find out how to do it yourself. I used an agent for hospital and doctor’s confirmation. Guess what? The confirmation letter I got was bogus, the appointment was never confirmed. So imagine my surprise as I am preparing to travel and I call the hospital to reconfirm my appointment and they don’t have my name in their system. Imagine that happened at POE, I will be on the next plane back to Naija. Thankfully, I had booked other hospitals and doctors so I just used that instead. I’ll strongly advise everyone to do it themselves. No value add using an agent. |

Like I said exam is either you pass or fail.......congratulation!!!!!!! Where is that VO Jericho or Twoods again? olamie: Hello everyone, thanks for the contribution. I thought I should share the outcome -
VO: How long did you stay the last time? Me: 176 Days VO: Why? Me: I started bleeding right after I got to the US. I had my baby taken out prematurely to save my life. The doctor said I could not fly back to Nigeria and a written note was given to me to that effect. VO: Can I see that? I handed over the report VO: How did you pay your bills? Me: I sourced for a private insurance following the incident and it got approved. I bought the Platinum Plan, which costs about $500 per month. VO: Did you pay the insurance premiums out of pocket? Me: Yes I did VO: Can I see the premium receipts and itemized bill? I handed that as well. VO: Has anyone filed for you? Me: Yes VO: Who did? Me: My Sister VO: Do you intend to have a baby this time? Me: No I don’t That was how he handed a white paper to me and told me to pick up my passport in 3 working days o.
Isn’t God just wonderful? That was how I packed my burden of proof back. Apparently, if you have a guarantor in the US, a Private insurance can be approved. To everyone who contributed, thank you and I wish you good luck in your endeavor.

For me, you have a good explanation and I believe you, but whether the VO will be patient and believe you is another issue, but one thing is sure .....there are two sides to a coin...... it is either either VO believe you and give you the visa or VO doubted you and denied you. It's a risk worth taking if you are risk aversed. Mind you it is not a do or die affair. Exam is either fail or pass ........so go with that mentality and arrange your documents logically with your explanation........believing that you are following the course of the TRUTH. |

Am trying hard to found the difference between this accusation : ''Your last paragraph is quite frankly insulting and playing race card on this is shameful'' And this your Opinion : ''Lets call a spade most Nigerians are dishonest, fraudulent and crafty, we get so angry when called out'' justwise: I don't expect many to agree with me on this because its a touchy topic.
I'm not talking about your budget for transport, accommodation etc..i'm talking about actual delivery cost, the VO will not approve your visa if you told her that you will be paying little to nothing with discount, your visa was approved because you presented a budget fitting enough for child birth.
Your last paragraph is quite frankly insulting and playing race card on this is shameful.
Lets call a spade most Nigerians are dishonest, fraudulent and crafty, we get so angry when called out.
This is not about white superiority, this is about what many Nigerians are known for, we struggle to get a visa to many embassies including South African which is an African country |

Am still struggling to understand all this discount issues ..... unless there is another things embedded in it that i dont know. If a dealer post a car on its website for $18,000, since most people in US can not pay that amount of cash from their pocket and i approached him that am paying cash straight away and he gave me a discount for paying out of pocket and not on installment, how did that become a sin or an offence... ? |

Well, the verdict as stated is 5 years ban.....but if you really think you were wrongly given a ban and you have a substantial proof and you have extra funds I would suggest you reapply .....just for a try and explain as much as possible what transpire in the previous applications. But really no guarantee.......and please and please do it yourself cos all this agents ....hmmmmm.......
In another news it seems this people timeline is more than two weeks oooooo!!!!! Or anybody applied in February got response from them wether +'ve or -'ve? |

I reluctantly applied for TRV, submitted on the 26th, biometric message received on the 27th , biometrics done on the 29th. Visa approved today, 14th February. I am heading to Edmonton by first week for in March. |
