Suspicion and he is detained? What of the accusation is not entirely right like the woman is claiming? |
Truth no doubt he has performed! But he has to be careful. The era of governors nationwide bringing block votes by rigging and writing election results NIN government houses are gone. There are strong oppositions in those states and that should be his headache not trying to fight with his own party from within. Now he has given Atiku/Okowa camp enough time for them to see how to mitigate the loses ahead of time. He publicly support Tinubu at the presidential level it could backfire, the safer bet for him his Obi and he knows Obi won’t be a party to those crafty political dealings that Tinubu can be in support of. Righthussle: |
I knew supreme will affirm Apkabio because of similar cases in the past. It’s always a Party NWC decision not these kangaroo bribing of INEC officials to monitor elections. Same thing with Obaseki faction (NWC backed) and Dan Orbih/Wike faction (Always saying INEC monitor theirs) |
He just keep accelerating not knowing when to stop. Although he is still a grassroots politician. yomi961: |
A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC, Yekini Nabena, has described the five aggrieved governors of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP as confused, handicapped and lacking in capacity to sway election victory for any candidate in next month’s presidential election. Nabena cautioned political leaders, especially in the APC who are still romancing with the five governors to have a rethink. The governors include Samuel Ortom of Benue state, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu state, Seyi Makinde of Oyo state, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia state, and Nyesom Wike of Rivers state as their leader. The “G-5 governors” emerged after Wike lost out to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar at the PDP presidential primary election, and after the former was also bypassed for consideration of the vice presidential slot of the party which was offered to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state. The group is, however, demanding the removal of the PDP’s National Chairman, Iyiorcha Ayu as a condition to support the Atiku, even though it is yet to announce its preferred presidential candidate. Speaking at a brief interactive session Friday in Abuja, the former APC spokesman said except for Governor Wike, the other four governors have not lived up to the expectations to deliver reasonable votes for any presidential candidate. According to Nabena, unless INEC delivers election materials to the state government house directly and allows them to manipulate the process, the forthcoming general election is beyond the reach of some poorly-performed serving governors like Ortom, Ikpeazu, Ugwuanyi and Makinde, except Wike who has some infrastructure to show the people. When asked whether his party will embrace the G-5 if they decide to work for Asiwaju Tinubu, the Bayelsa-born politician said: “The G-5 governors are confused and handicapped whether as PDP men or as supporters of any opposition party. “We have been hearing all manner of things. Today they are with Asiwaju, tomorrow they are with Peter Obi and next tomorrow they may work for Atiku. Which one do we believe? “If they support our party and we win in the February presidential election, our members won’t see the G-5 governors as an ally to be trusted. Again if they change their minds and work for Atiku, and (God forbid) PDP wins after all they have told Nigerians, they will still be treated like pariahs. The same treatment will befall them in Labour Party. Therefore, give or take, these governors are losers in waiting.” Nabena urged Nigerians to ignore the “noise making-governors”, adding that no serious presidential candidate is still counting on their support to win in February. He said: “The new Electoral Law has reduced dramatically, the influence of seating governors to do magic during election unless the electoral umpire decides to handover the process to them. The less-performing governors are the worst for it because electorates won’t listen to them on election day. “Again, the innovations as introduced by INEC, if religiously followed, is another challenge for those who think they can sway the vote. This BVAS is not anybody’s mate. People will decide and not governors any longer. “I will advise those who are still waiting on the G-5 governors to shift their attention to the real voters because these governors won’t be at the polling unit on election day,” Nabena said. When asked about his assessment of ongoing APC campaign rallies across the state of the federation, Nabena said: “Tinubu’s candidacy is nationwide accepted, that’s why you see massive support wherever the campaign train goes. “By God’s grace, victory is certain for the APC and that’s why I don’t think we need the support of these paperweight G-5 governors because it will be unfair to our leaders in these five states who are working hard and mobilizing for our candidate (Bola Tinubu) to be relegated for the PDP governors.” The APC chieftain, however, called for more inclusion in the ongoing process to deliver Tinubu/Shettima presidential ticket. “I will call on our leaders to bring more people on board. There are certain people who are still aggrieved because of one thing or the other, especially as a result of primary elections that produced various candidates at all levels. The APC national leaders should do more to ensure genuine reconciliation across the board,” Nabena said. Hmmmmm! Though most of all these crowds are rented, but Wike better watch his back. He talks too much and becoming too arrogant. Creating too many enemies both within and outside his party. Amaechi and his gongs might be planning a stealthy move to snatch the election. He is experienced and has the financial war-chest too to wrestle with Wike. Afterall, APC is in power. |
Lol! Could this be a ramour? Anyway no smoke without fire. Ikpeazu has this political headache to take care of and he is always seen gallivanting with Wike who has perfected plans to pocket rivers state in the forthcoming elections. I pity him. By the time Labour Party wins the state he will know what it means to be an opposition. |
Most of those party agents do sell out and work with any highest bidder to do their bidding. Some of these party agents, security operatives and INEC officials will sell out and turn blind eyes while the highest bidder political party start doing massive open vote buying. Show me your ballot paper and you will be paid N15,000 - N20,000 per vote. Now there is poverty in the land and most uninformed and poor people will rather sell their vote for a pot of soup that day and be made to suffer another 4yrs SmartPolician: |
Mostly by massive vote buying. To these heartless misrule government people vote buying is not rigging. This is the area any serious candidate should watch out because these politicians have so much impoverished the masses and can’t wait to massive weaponize poverty by attractively asking people to sell their vote at the polling units. Fake news |
Well said! How can people think CBN don’t have enough cash (new note) that will go around when the policy fully take effect? Just as many of these corrupt politicians have been sponsoring smear campaigns to discredit the CBN that the new notes are fake like this is the first time CBN is being involved with new note minting. I think feedbacks shows that the ones they have distributed so far are finding its way to the hands of corrupt politicians via the aid of corrupt bank mangers and CEOs. The reason the CBN is now mandating the distribution and circulation of the new notes via ATM. Light78: |
Lol. Why would all these governors anoint thier candidates without doing due diligence of their credential and credibility? Similar thing is playing out in Rivers States. Wike anointed governorship candidate Sim is allegedly having dossiers of criminal investigation with the EFCC There would be other people of the party that are more credible and loyal to the party overall but they are always looking for puppet who can always do their bidding when elected forgetting that what goes around comes around. If you betray your predecessor also expect your successor to do same to you. Instead of these greedy and self centered politicians to always allow credible popular candidates to always emerge in a free and fair contest, no their selfishness is always their priority |
This impunity must be condemned. He keep crying of injustice and stone-age do-or-die politics yet doing same to political opponents. It’s either one kangaroo court injunction to weaken opponents or dissenting voice to another. Anybody wants Nigeria to change must condemn this regardless of this is I’m favour of your party or candidate. The same thing with states not granting access to stadia and other public places for opponents to carry out their political campaigns. All these nonsense have to stop if Nigeria must move forward and leave this backward dirty politics behind olamidedivotee: |
In as much as I am voting Peter Obi because he is competent less evil when compared the other major full time politicians and again that is the choice of the voice of the majority in my location and hoods as people are tired of the old orders. Truth be told the only party that stand a chance right now to wrestle power from the claws of wicked APC hands is the PDP. The chances of the PDP doing that is getting slimmer everyday as the Peter Obi has eaten deep to core PDP base. The G5 governors is another worrying issues. Again the Kwakwaso arm of the party will also shed away some votes from the PDP. You don’t easily win incumbent political party with a divided house and front. This is any APC was able to wrestle power from the PDP in 2015 via uniting of other major political parties. Aside age as a factor and imposition of candidate especially governorship, I don’t really have issues with Tinubu except for party - APC. I just want them punished by being voted out from the poverty and backwardness they have taken into so as to serve as deterrent to other political party. But it seems the division in PDP as I listed above could just weaken their chances and allow APC use their machinery to win this election next month. PDP, LP, NNPP, G5 etc needs to join hands together to rescue this country and wrestle power from the APC else Tinubu and APC led government might capitalize on this needless fragmentation and win the election. ilovenicloe: |
Let Rivers people compare and tell us. One tool Wike has been using is projects show off and it has been working for him because people have been falling for it. Roads and bridges are good but that’s not all what governance is about |
What was Ortom led and Wike loyalists thinking when they unanimously supported the throwing open of PDP presidential ticket? Ortom was the chairman of the committee. Why didn’t they all support the southern zoning or the south east micro zoning? How did Okowa betray Wike now? chrisxxx: |
I agree |
Obi is the best choice for the Wike G5 camp. Anything outside that will backfire. But something in me says Wike is thinking Obi might not win and anything that make him and his camp support Tinubu will backfire. |
It will be very suicidal for Wike to publicly and fully support Tinubu 100%. The best he can do is deal with Tinubu for a minimum of guaranteed 25% votes. Supporting is the sensible thing to do because their is why majority of the masses especially South are inclined to be voting if massive vote buying won’t be changing their minds because these politicians are surely going to be weaponizing the high poverty rate in the land. Again, Wike is not a rookie in the game, he must be seeing something everyone is not seeing yet. So sa so good. It does not look like Wike will be supporting Atiku |
Lagos state a whole would rather go completely broke for Tinubu and his subordinates to lose Lagos state power. I mean, Tinubu would rather be dead than to lose Lagos state to opposition. Not when Lagos keep generating monies many African counties can’t generate. Tinubu and his subordinates has the monetary machinery to keep governing Lagos |
Although I see a surprising upset from Kwakwaso in all regions across the country but not the one to win the elections or even come second. He’s been working underground without making too much noise. |
To Emefiele the CBN governor as them nor allow to pursue his presidential ambition and was outspent at the APC primary. The guy is about fighting his last revenge fight by introducing this tough cash withdrawal policy. Vote buying politicians go collect wotowoto |
Bubu will send a rep there. After Ortom don call Bubu many unprintable names? |
Martinez39s:Spain has been poor. Their front three have been poor when the game matter. No wingers could really beat defenders 1v1. They keep trying to play the balls via the midfielder |
seunny4lif:Are you from Benin? |
Like play like play this man career and civil services years is about to get dented due to Wike and his G5 members. Na stray bullet Naim want hit CJN so. Make God not let us use our head carry load when nor be our own ooo. |
Honorable thing to do is to resign your membership and support Peter Obi with your full chest else that will amount to conflict of interest. |
Make Wike sha plan and strategize well make opposition parties nor go steal the governorship and house of assembly votes from him. |
This is fake. He was protesting against Tinubu from the video shouting Tinubu drug lord while pro-Tinubu supporters out-shouted him saying President. |
Not a fan of Tinubu because APC has no justification whatsoever to solicit for votes come 2023 because of their abysmal failure when it comes to performance as result they must be punished by being voted out. But Tinubu will resoundingly win Lagos State. Tribe, his Party being in power in the state, lots of political loyalists etc are many factors that are in his favour. |
