Peter Obi: My Daughter Was Employed As Teacher By Lagos State Government. Video by herkeem: 10:53am On Dec 24, 2022
The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party H.E Peter Obi has said that his daughter came back from UK and wanted to teach in the village. But he got her a job as a teacher under Lagos State because of insecurity. He said this at a town hall meeting he had with students yesterday in Yenegoa, capital of Bayelsa State. Watch the video below:

That is very good of him. A daughter of billionaire is a teacher is a public school. What an humble family!!!

You are more knowledgeable than some Nigerians. Another is medical technology. Do you know medical microbiologists routinely examine sputum or nasal swab for viral studies in any case of catarrh with or without cough.? How many teaching hospitals have facilities for viral studies? And many cases like that. Availability of medical technology makes medical authorities to determine methods of examining medical students and residents. The saying among doctors you must learn standard of care and substandard of care. Have u heard of management of patients in poor countries? There are protocols for that too.
Foreign-trained doctors must learn how to practice safely in Nigeria.

Malaria is ur example?u will need to get medical access abroad n get one in naija for u to understand. I will rather hav foreign doctor attend to me as they are more thorough.Naija doc only cares abt making money for his hospital visa unnecessary medication.

Just an example. Do you know what it is called tropical disease? There are many if them. Do you know approach to medical diagnosis and treatment varies from country to country? To you doctors in advanced countries rely more of technology to manage cases while our own doctors rely more clincal judgement and few medical tests available in the country.?
To practice medicine in abroad is very easy? Can you stand Nigerian doctors opening books to check more information on prescription or tests? This is allowed in abroad.

Recently I fell in love for the first time with this 23 year old. It felt great. this was the first time someone is calling me baby and having sleepless nights because of me cry(before you people begin to ask how old I am, I was born in 1992).

About three days ago we were texting on WhatsApp and I asked her how many ex she had had and her reply was "I can't remember". I was shocked 😲 I asked her if there are too many that's why she can't remember and she said "yes".

I'm concerned.for a 23 year old to have dated many men means she has multiple body counts. Will this affect me in the long run? What advice do you people have for me?

PS; I'm not a virgin

Not all past relationships lead to sex.

I am telling you about what i know about medical education. Average naija doctors would manage malaria than doctors in developed nations. It is called clinical exposure.

Palestinians and jews have been living together 100s of years before the arrival of Britain and later Zionism. These two phenomenon change the cordial relationship to sour.

The present state of Israel is made up of 40% of the Jews living together with Palestinians before.

The land of Israel has always being within Palestinian Territory. It is expected that the Jews in diaspora were to maintain the status quo but instead decided to

Because when jews returned enmass in 1948, Palestinians did not want to see the crowds. They wanted jews as a minority group so that they could oppress them further.
Palestine belongs to jews historically. Arabs occupied the region when jews were exiled. Arabs are tenants , they should learn to live with lanlords.
Foreign Affairs / Re: Albert Einstein Opposed Creation Of State Of Israel by joyandfaith: 5:33am On Nov 28, 2023
he supported the idea of a Jewish homeland in Palestine but until summer 1947 conceived of this as a bi-national (Jewish and Arab) state, with "continuously functioning, mixed, administrative, economic, and social organizations.

Millions of Jews perished... because there was no spot on the globe where they could find sanctuary...The Jewish survivors demand the right to dwell amid brothers, on the ancient soil of their fathers."

The problem is palestines want nothing to do with jews.

In medical schools, students are expected to use international textbooks. Many of those students are not sound educationally. Some of them couldn't cope academically in private medical schools in Nigeria. They had to attend medical schools in some substandard universities in some third world countries. If they are academically sound, they should try schooling in canada and usa medical schools. In most cases, they would get education loans or scholarship.

Unless you think that criminals do not have a right to a defense only then would you have a point but that still wouldn't make you right.
The right of lawyers to defend their clients is in no way the cause of your countries problems. Do you understand?

Do you know where plea bargain is common in US? Most lawyers would ask their clients to enter plea bargain for a lesser sentence. Essence of legal system is protect innocent people not criminals. Any system that is protecting criminals would fail.

Yes our judicial system is a joke but you should learn to differentiate between that and lawyers.
In every country lawyers are allowed to defend their clients corrupt or not. In fact, that's the mark of a fair legal system.
Everyone should have the right to a defence so I see no reason for you to blame the failure of the Nigerian state of lawyers as if lawyers in every other country are not the same.
Both belong to legal profession. Bench to bar and vice versa. The same system.

Africa nations need order. There is no order. Politicans that sponsor thugs would not want an ordely society. It is only millitary leadership that can bring order before transition into any Afro-centred democratic system. Beside war, more civilians are being killed in civilian system in comparison to military system.

Let me explain. No nation can prosper without peace and justice. Our judiciary system is a joke. Some lawyers like wole are making a fortune from high profile political and corruption cases. Who are those paying them? Corrupt politicians are using common treasury to feed lawyers. That is the reason for mantra 'let us meet in the court'.
There is no integrity in bar and bench. Do you think politicians who bribe inec, police and judiciary to attain power will care about people.

Legal luminary, Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN) has said that majority of Nigerians currently live in poverty, stressing that over 70 per cent of the citizens were living below the poverty level.

Olanipekun spoke in Ikere Ekiti, his country home.

The legal icon pointed out that there was tension, unrest, anxiety, pressure, confusion, hatred, anguish, pain, distress and transferred aggression among many people.

According to him, the situation in Nigeria is much more challenging, coupled with the burden of insecurity that it had faced for over a decade.

β€œThe poverty level in Nigeria today is not just scary but also terrifying, as over 70 per cent of Nigerians are rudderless and poverty stricken,” he said.

Your reasoning is counterintuitive because i dont understand why most people want to die in your so called "bondage" when there are other free 35 states 🀑

I keep wondering too but i know that an Iragbiji man to abandon his state of origin to become lagos lanlord is making them to try their luck in lagos. Also, water bodies in lagos are for benefit of entire human race. That is the reason any harbour city would always welcome people from different backgrounds.

Exactly. Do you know why? Fines are outrageous and not compatible with minimum wage..No traffic offences should be more than #5k with or without community services . With outrageous fines, many offenders would rather brbe by paying lesser amounts.

With the rate at which Nigerians are leaving Nigeria, you will think with N50k you can japa from that country. Every Tom, Dick and Harry have left, the remaining ones are just waiting to buy their flight ticket.

I doubt if we still have up to 1 million people left in Nigeria at this time. So where is that multidimensional poverty statistics coming from? If almost everybody can afford the cost of Japa that doesn't come cheap. This makes me to come to the conclusion that, Nigerians might not have money in their bank account, but majority have tangible assets that can be easily converted to cash if the need arises.

Poverty is not exaggerated. It is getting worse. There are pressure on few people who are are doing well financially to assist poor ones. They are the ones leaving.

Education / Re: Historic Ocheja Hostel At Kogi State University, Anyigba, Now A Toilet Ground by joyandfaith: 6:33am On Nov 26, 2023
nairalanda1:

1.The reason why schools were clean under the colonial era was because quite simply entry into such schools was tight. As at the 1960's there were probably less than 5000 Nigerians reading university courses in the country. Not the millions we got now. Naturally the facilites were easy to fix

2.Nigerian university facilites and hostels have always been a mess since the 1980's. I can recall as far back as 1989, entering the hostel where my uncle was quartered and wondering in my young age how people survived such a messed up environment. And that was under army rule

3.Speaking of army rule...that is when universites went down the drain well well. First, the army built a lot of unis, meaning funding was stretched beyond what it could carry, then the funding did not go up, plus student numbers went up...partly because of something called 6334 which in essence made student populations shoot up. Result..facilites meant for one student ended up being used for five or six.

Let's not forget that by the 1980's universites had collapsed drastically then. In 1988, a university lecturer was feeding students with mangoes from his tree because they had nothing to eat. And it happened under...army rule.

4. Nigeria was not better under colonial or army rule. Especially under army rule. Anyone who lived in the 1980's when times were tough is not going to come back and tell you that army rule was good. Nuff said

5.No, colonialism was not better for Nigeria. I can even argue, at the risk of defending bad government, that Yahaya Bello built more healthcare facilites for Kogi than any colonial offical did for the same region in colonial times. And YB is a bad governor...yes he is. Infact if you lived in what is now Kogi state, and ye had a condtion that meant you needed a doctor, you had to travel long distances...very long distances...to a proper hospital maybe miles and miles away. Unless missionaries had a hospital nearby.

The good old days were not good. And it was under army rule that students were killed by the dozen in 1978 and espeically in 1986.

More civilians are killed during civilian rule than military rule. The noise was much during military regime because wanted civilian rule.

There were fewer school enrollment during colonial era because there were fewer human resources and infrastructures. Development is a gradual thing but we want it faster and it is being done haphazardly during civilian rule.

Many of big infrastructures in the country were constructed during military and colonial era. UCH, UI, Third Mainland Bridge etc.

There were collapse of public services during military rule due to corruption and trade . embargo. Not enough funds!!!

What made military and colonial rules better was orderliness in society. Nations in Europe, North America etc are developing because of orderliness.

Nigeria is a disordered society and politicians are enablers.
