agangadiman: There should be no such thing as dating in a christian relationship.i also challenge you to show me where the bible says courtship is wrong? If you want to marry from the blue feel free but don't make it a doctrine/standard for all believers |
Sorry Miss... Have you told him how you feel? If you can't communicate your feelings now and be certain he will listen and understand how you feel then Let me assure you that you will be back here in Six months telling us how inconsiderate he is bla bla bla. Speak honestly to him about how you feel and guage his reaction... How he takes it will determine your lives for the next 30 yrs and will help you decide whether to go on or not..... The way i see it, if he is generous to everyone except you then expect to solely take care of your children's needs in future. The way you guys have started, he will pay the rent, buy fuel for the cars and leave the rest to you. |
Orunto: God created Adam and Eve as partners not as husband and wife. Husband and wife are English language introduced to make their relationship more sacred. God told Adam and Eve specifically NOT TO TOUCH THE FRUITS(apple, oranges, pawpaw, bananas etc) at the centre of their garden. Satan came to Eve and touched the fruit at the centre of Eve's Garden. Eve was excited, raped and ravished seriously. She went straight to Adam, grabbed the bananalike fruit at his centre and got his head spinning. God made these things(fruits) for humans, but must not be touched until He authourises and approves their uses. So my friends, you can have dates but don't touch yourselves in manner of fornications, sodomy, gomarians, adultery etc. Sex is meant to produce children of God like Abel and Jesus and not satanic ones like Cain, Judas etc. I hope that you have somehow got the point. God bless U!wrong premise though! Stop twisting scriptures |
OnyeEgo1: ur point from the bible sir!alright sir... Read this scriptures accordingly and i'd prefer you use NLT. Matt 1 vs 18, LUKE 2 vs 5, Matt 1 vs 24 -25, Matt 1 vs 20. In jewish Law, bethrothal is considered a contract to be married. It cannot be reversed except on grounds of infidelity and the guilty party will be stoned to death. That was why Joseph was reluctant to leave her publicly. He struggled on how to leave her without exposing her to death; that was why the angel had to appear to him. The bible says in matt 1 vs 24 that he immediately married her after the angel left. Similarly in modern law Of contracts (marriage), if you are engaged to a girl and call off the engagement suddenly, the girl can sue you to court. All she has to do is to provide proof(witnesses, pics etc) that u were engaged to each other and the guy will be toast in court. He will be made to keep his contract or asked to settle with the girl amicably/pay damages. Few people know this and even those that do hardly take up the option simply because it serves no purpose being with someone who dosen't value you/ the cost of litigation is very high as the case can drag on for months. |
OnyeEgo1: my dear u are HELPLESS i pray that ur knowledge concerning the things of God will be open unto ur MinD stop stiffening it....no my friend... Tis you and your heretical teachings that are HELPLESS. Stating that Joseph was already married to Mary shows a complete ignorance about scripture. Why are u Twisting scriptures to prove a non existent point ![]() |
Vikky014: i hope u knw wht mathew5:27-28 said? meanwhile i hope u dnt slf service?cos maggi and crayfish are d samewhat are you driving at? State it clearly |
Clefcentfelix: it's either you don't read your bible or you don't understand it when you read. I will start from old testament and give you many examples and instructions concerning courtship even in the gospelsgbam... Enof said. |
Purity in Relationships is a beautiful thing. I am indeed blessed to be in one.... But Op, proposing to a sister, keeping your distance and coming back to marry her is the foundation of a bad marriage. It leads faster to hell fire than any known sin to man. |
God bless you plenty plenty... I missed the service and almost certain to miss again in february. Thanks a lot |
Kindly share your church motto for 2014 to the glory of God. |
aysuccess99: The program that took everyone in awe was when a 12year old boy, recited Psalm 119:1-the end i.e Psalms 119:1-176, the chapter of the Bible that had the longest verse. He recited it within 20minutes and everyone was happy for the way God has used the boy mightily. He didn't even make a mistake and I know that his parents would be proud of him. I decree unto your life that God shalk make you a wonder in your generation in Jesus name.i just dey jealous the boy.... It was wonderful |
awodman: I just wanna understand something..first it was Oshiomhole firing NNPC, then Amaechi now Sanusi... These people are not dullards so should be taken seriously. What has been done since the letter was written? Why did it take over 2 months to respond. These are questions the lay men like me ask and need answers Asap. Lets subject NNPC to a transparent audit by foreign auditors and see the outcome. That's the only solution to this mess. |
Will closing down beer parlours make every beer drinker in the area repent? Certainly not d best alternative.
look at it the other way round... If every beer drinker repents, the bars will be forced to close down. That's what the pastor is driving at. #thechristianway |
40Lightyears: Even if FG withdraws the ultimatum, the damage has been done.u mean damage to Godspower Ekuobase for obeying FG. Mehn the man couldn't even say his name at the health centre. Na today useless SSS come full school after the man almost die. Abeg GEJ do the needful and stop this nonsense. |
Guys thanks for your contributions... Pls how real is it? And how is the training done?? |
Pastor Kun: The Pastor Oseni must have been drunk when he made that statement. He should first repent from the tithe fraud perpetuated in his church before he thinks of ridding Lagos of criminals.u're thinly veiled insult qualifies u as a christian ? Congrats mtchewwwww |

Rawdeal: GODSPOWER EKUOBASE!!!!!!!hahaha... Godspower. A man who beats his wife mercilessly will be beaten by fellow men. Guess he went to teach to spite ASUU for not voting for him during governing council elections....smh |
Olastep1: Ans: All my lecturers in Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State.all your lecturers ke.... That's a first |
Dedication, commitment, passion are just some of the words that describe these unsung heroes. Where are my naija students/graduates add yours or confirm the above |
APPRECIATE UNIQUE LECTURERS |
As the ASUU strike lingers on with no end in sight, let's take time to appreciate those lecturer's that made a difference in our lives. For me, Dr C.A. Anyaeji will never be forgotten in the department of Electrical Engineering Uniben. He was one of a kind. I count it a rare priviledge to have been taught by him. His last lecture before retiring was da bomb. I remember the whole class rushing to take photographs with him before he sauntered off into the hallmarks of fame. C'mon share yours |
Nawa o... Oga Jona don put us for wahala. Just eavedropped on ASUU uniben meeting in B1 faculty. They have vowed not to teach or sign the attendance register. Mehn u need to see the anger in the classroom. Even if they are forced to set exam how will the marking scheme be like Missing results nko Abeg Uncle Jo settle this matter amicably with ASUU make we graduate in peace |
AOR D MAYOR: Why Are you people propaganding this issue look oshomohle is human for God's He simply lost his temper period. I was born and bred in Benin believe you me Edo peole are very difficult to control. That woman might have said she is a widow so that the Governor would have pity on her. I Know wetin i dey talktrue talk. Insamuch as that statement was bad, i can feel his pains. Imagine spending millions on that road only for it to return back to a jungle. He even had to use closed drainage instead of the open drainge there before yet people still locate the tiny spaces meant for water to pour refuse. Only on Friday he seized the equiptment of a welder who had turned the workways to his workshop. The man pleaded and pleaded but the governor refused. Don't be quick to judge the gov. He is still human afterall. Anyway, nairalanders whatever you donate be rest assured that my able Pdp state chairman will double it once i bring it to his notice. We must regain power by fire by force. |
In saner climes like the US and Canada he should have resigned honourably. I have totally lost my respect for this man.
in saner climes, the widow will be in trouble for law breaking. He has admitted his error instead of setting up comitees to look into the matter. Let the matter rest. |
tpapi: ASUU is askin where fg wil get lecturers to replace d strikin lectures, jus put out advert 4 lecturin vacancies, u go fear to see d amount of pple wey dey find lecturin job as dem go begin dey apply 4 dos jobs, nonsenseunfortunately unless FG is willing to employ 3RD class graduates and fill everywhere with graduate assistants with attendant reduction in the already bad quality of univ education, it's just not going to happen. In those days, we had indians teaching in our secondary schools nowadays they wont even touch our universities with a long pole. For those complaining about the bad nature of lecturers, be rest assured that when FG does the needful and makes our univ's world class, the principle of natural selection will take care of the rottens eggs. So Oga Jona... Do the needful. |
teskyg: RIP Pro,but at year age,you for stop Aluta and allow the younger members to agitate on your behalf.Hope you are not amoung those saying strike must Continue.RIPmy thoughts exactly. I mean he was over sixty and the travelling associated with unionism is massive. Rumours abound that he was against calling off the strike and convinced his local chapter to vote against. I personally listened to him on tv at the beginning of the strike when he declared total war that was when i knew the strike will be long. infact i feared when he was among those that negotiated with GEJ. He fought Babangida to a standstill and was sacked before the Abacha govt recalled him. He is highly revered across the academia along with his friend the late prof Dimowo. They both died for what they believed in. I guess after his friends death he was never going to abandon their struggle. |
I first fell in love with his book 'heroes' before encountering the man as a uniben student. He was a man of proven integrity and was a father to all. In an age where students celebrate the deaths of their lecturers i cant seem to find a bad word about him on the net. It took his death for me to find out that he lives some streets away from me and by the side of my friend which is a testament to the type of life he lived. He died for what he believed. Hopefully one day your struggle will not be in vain. #wherewillyou spend eternity ? |
This man is a hero. A detribalized Nigerian who stood for truth. A man of integrity and honour. First came across him through his book 'heroes' and later as a uniben student. He loved creative people. Even though you didnt live to see your dream of a modern Nigeria come through but you died for what you believe in. You a truly a hero |
Codedrock: STUPID ASUU.. AND SOME IGNORANT STUDENTS ARE BLAMING FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.. This Is A Political strike if you dont know. All is to spoil Jonathan's second term ambition!if you recall, in 2009, the FG signed an agreement with ASUU, Ssanu, Nasu and Naat which is yet to be implemented. In 2011, ASUU went behind the other unions back to sign a MOU with FG. It is this MOU that the unions are against not the 2009 agreement that is why they refused to join the ASUU strike. The easiest way to explain the Mou is that ASUU want the FG to reduce the no of non academic staff in the univ so that ASUU will be the dominant union. Implementing this will lead to crises in the univ which is why the FG does not want to adhere. This is the crux of the whole matter not the so called allowances that FG and ASUU would have us believe. |
I can assure you that the above are in the minority(assuming you are talking of born again sis and not church goers) |
aManFromMars: Think before reading, and you'll get the point in the post.@please if you have no meaningful thing to say then back off or rather repent of your sins |
