LiteratureRe: Without An End by joywendy(f):
HenryDion: It's a true life story although the names and locations were changed.

[ Chapter 1 "Lost But Found" )

The tragedy of life is what mortal men cannot comprehend. Every story has one thing in common, it has an end. But mine is not an ordinary story, it has a beginning but it doesn't have an end. It can only end(comma) when tears stop flowing from the eyes.(Putting human there is not necessary) It can only end when the world ends. It can only end when infinity comes to its peak. It can only end when men give the full definition of LOVE. "Love is the throne of the universe" i was once told by a love doctor "It's the only entity not controlled by time nor tossed my the sun,(huh) love is the fabric of the world". I have believed all that, i have open(ed) my heart to love and i believe(ed) it to be something beautiful until the unexpected struck.
I graduated from a renowned university (University of Nigeria Nsuka) in Nigeria with a second class upper in Economies(Economics) and the celebration of my success is what i can not forget in a hurry as my dad took me to A quite(quiet) and peaceful garden in town to celebrate my success with a few family members and friends. with a bright future ahead of me. (Comma not fullstop) I served in one of the tropical parts of Nigeria in Kogi state where i gained alot of artistic and craft skills as they were well endowed in their hands. It was during my service that i met Jack, my old school friend when i was coming back from exploration and the reunion of old friends is what the human memory can hold even unto death. Jack was one of the brilliant students in school and something remarkable about him was he's(his) voice and well trimmed beard which has always kept me yearning(lol!) for him. Jack is averagly tall, about 5:6inches (5ft 6 inches) with an athletic body and what i will never forget is his captivating smiles which has kept me in chains ( chains lipsrsealed) since we separated years ago. We were so overwhelmed that we hug so intimately and i felt something i haven't felt for a long time. I felt warmth and peace. I could perceive some sweet aroma which i later discovered to be a curry spice. (Curryhuh grin so overwhelming indeed)
"hi Kate, Jesus! Can't believe this. Long time" he said with a twinkle in his eyes and i looked at him and got lost between his eyes. Those eyes reminded me of those years. Years of chuckles of laughter, years of friendship and warmth.
"oh my God, jack! where have you been? I have searched for your trail on NET but i couldn't find you( searched for your trails? Why not 'I have searched everywhere for you including the internet but to no avail' then ), your friends said you are (were) in the north with no definite address" i screamed hugging him like never before. My nose sniff around as the cooled breeze drain all the sweat on me. I could still perceive that aroma. I feel like being in his arms till it subsides.
"am sorry Kate, actually i have been working and also schooling, you know is tough after my parents died. I have to fend for myself. It hasn't been easy combining studies with business but thank God. Am now a graduate." he said with that charming smile and i have to discipline myself to avoid feeling shy. I need no seer to tell me cause he was already wearing his service cap.
"i understand dearie, am serving here" i said putting up a smile.
"looks like we are on the same boat Kate, maybe you should come and see where i lodge" he said with an innocent smile, setting out his hand and i took them without hesitating as he lead me to a waiting taxi.
"i leave down the road, about 12 poles away" he said to reassure me my safety.
"i can't believe is really you jack, after five years, the world is really small" i said with a light of hope in my voice.
"neither me Kate." he said "i couldn't believe it was you until i watched your walking steps and discover that beautiful dimples you always have back in school" he said and i feel flattered.
"pull over sir," he said pointing to a spot in which the driver parked and collected his Fair. He shoved me into his apartment which was fairly lavished with a musical stereo and a king size bed which could fit two perfect couple and i imagined myself in the same bed with him. It was like a dream that can never come true. I shelved it off as he gave me a glass of a red wine which helped to calmed my bursting mind. We swap digits and home address as he saw me off promising to call my house the next day.
I cracked my door open and slump on the small bed on the floor as the days events flashed back to my memory and i smiled praying for sleep to take me to a realm where love rules.
i will try to update at least every two days. Keep up with me please. But would love to see ur encouraging comments. Your corrections are allowed.
I'm not perfect too, just trying to help. I couldn't continue with the editing.okay, this story ain't bad. But you really need to work on your grammer, spelling and punctuations!! Too many errors, I couldn't finish 'cause it was too much. Please henry, modify the post. Ask friends and people who you think are good with writing and the rest, for their opinions too, before coming to place it here.

UcLloyd: Ur post with a link madam
lol! I see. You should have asked first before jumping into conclusions. First of all, the link I posted wasn't my thread. I wasn't hating on the op, I was just informing her about the thread. It seems like she doesn't know it exists for her to create such thread. Secondly,it doesn't really matter if her thread is on front page or not, what really matters is if she's actually gaining from it. From the look of things here, she's not really gaining anything.... as the ladies she wants to meet with here and discuss with are no where to be found and their spaces taken by guys.

It's quite ironic that the title of the thread says 'girls' while most viewers and those commenting are guys.

@op there is a thread similar to this that has been existing for a while.

Nice post

Though the only one I see very useful here is the 2nd one. Just incase something happens, and you decide to deactivate your account. At least you can still have some of the memories with you.

The fifth is good but can't be very reliable, some people's contact detail on facebook are old lines they don't use anymore or some forget to update their contact. It can't really be used as a backup or alternative if you lose your line.

RomanceRe: Ladies, What Would You Do, If A Guy Kissed You Without Consent? by joywendy(f): 4:10am On Jul 22, 2014
EnlightenedSoul: Yh, I agree.
Trust me, the rejection is humiliation enough for most people. You may feel embarrassed and uncomfortable with the situation, but he might feel worse, wounded ego and all. No one needs a slap on top of that. We should avoid violence.

I've been in situations where I've had to dodge and maneuver my way out of it, but I've never had to slap anybody. If a guy continues to force it on you despite your dodging or pulling away from him, is when you should resort to defense. God forbid.

With a bf/spouse it's even easier to maneuver your way out of, but then why would you? Gosh, I miss him sad
yeah true talk! smiley please tell our dear ladies here, shouting slap from different corners.
True, avoid violence.

Awww so sorry about that, cheer up!
I don't know what you mean by 'miss him'
But I guess you are talking about a past relationship or so,if it is I advice you let go because there are better days ahead and more happy moments. It may not seem easy but that's the best thing. Though not bad to miss him for a while, but dwelling on it is the worst thing to do to yourself. Above all love yourself and be happy. smiley
RomanceRe: Ladies, What Would You Do, If A Guy Kissed You Without Consent? by joywendy(f): 3:17am On Jul 22, 2014
EnlightenedSoul: I assume you're speaking of the unwanted kiss. If it's impending, you dodge. If it's already happening, then you'll want to quickly and effectively pull away & break the kiss. Your obvious aversion will plainly get the message across. Otherwise, use your words.
I wasn't going to comment before but seeing how this thread is going, some people need to think first. The op's question can be seen from different perspective. Your suggestion is good and a bit reasonable than slap. A guy kisses a girl, she gave him slap. He has gotten pleasure, she gets pain from slapping(do you know how painful it is to actually slap someone especially when it comes from reflexes grin) there could have been factors also in place:
1. They were probably in an enclosed area where peope can't see them ( except if he is your bf/ spouse that wants to. Show his passion for you openly or he is a mad man who forgot his way to the mental clinic grin pick one)

2. They were probably sitting or standing extremely close. (Yeah he is my friend what's there? If it is a must Just be cautious. Not overparnoid, its a probablity)

And many others. So before anyone thinks of slap check yourself first.
P.s: I never said that that I wouldn't slap a guy if he tries such, things happen of course and one might not think straight at that present moment. That's why we have to self control not just ladies, guys too I'm just trying to be more objective and seeing things from different perceptive. I don't believe an act of violence can change any thing,(except of course in extreme cases like rape and domestic abuse where one as to defend themself) one just have to be careful .if you don't avoid some of this things it can even lead to rape. Some people are driven by lust even after the slap they still won't gree! You just have to make your stance, like they say prevention is better than cure.

What's the secret?
GamingRe: Nairaland Official Chess Thread! by joywendy(f): 10:47am On Jul 21, 2014
jayriginal: My pleasure.
smiley

Actually Its my fault for the confusion. I put the annotation in the wrong place. It ought to have come after my 14th move, (Nd2). What I meant was that instead of playing 14 Nd2, I ought to have played 14 Ng1 with the intention of maneuvering the knight to the hole on f4.
oh no problem
It makes more sense now

My taking the knight was a tactical nuance. I didnt even hesitate. Immediately he played 11 ... e5 I took the knight. Thats because the move 11... e5 loses a pawn. If he recaptures with his knight, I take the pawn on e5 with my knight. If he recaptures with his g pawn, he destroys his kingside pawn structure. Even Rybka agrees with me that the best move after 11... e5 is 12 Bxf6.
Mmm....both we both know that he didn't play that move , it's was just a probability. He saw it coming and he probably thought that he could distract you by playing his pawn to e4 but he was wrong to underestimate the great jay grin
But my suggestion wasn't that bad na, at least I try small.Even Rybka agrees with me too. wink grin

Thanks kiss
You are welcome smiley
GamingRe: Nairaland Official Chess Thread! by joywendy(f): 3:10pm On Jul 20, 2014
@jayriginal thanks so much,i would download it. That your third game:on your 13th move, moving to g1 or e2 wouldn't have worked either you would have lost a piece anyway. I think you meant h4 not f4, h4 was probably the best but you have lost your knight in the process.
My suggestion
When your bishop was on h4 instead of taking the knight you would have just move the bishop to g3 so incase he plays e4 you play your knight to e5 and if he decides to take your knight you take back his knight with your bishop on g3 attacking the knight on f3.

Anyways nice game smiley

@chessguru you will, smiley

VERDICT

Okay
This was a really tough one. For some based on the comments above christina had beautiful accesories but then she looks terribly white! She needs serious tanning. While some for jolie she looked nice but with a lil brushing of her hair and a adding of accesories she would have looked more gorgeous. There was too much black in jolie's outfit nevertheless she till looked good.

Well out of the 9 people who commented. 8 went for jolie and 1 went for christina shocked

So we know who our winner is!
Angelina jolie! cheesy

Thanks yall!

IslamRe: Nairalanders Iftaar - Season 7 by joywendy(f): 9:55pm On Jul 17, 2014
onegig: Glad you want to learn. Ramadan is actually a month under the islamic calendar. The ninth month to be specific. It's during this period that adherents fast from dusk to dawn. I.e abstain from eating, drinking and lawful sexual activities. What makes the month unique and significant is the abundance of blessing and reward for any little act of worship or good done during the period. It's also the fourth pillar of islam. Islam has five pillars which any muslim must abide by.

It starts with the spotting of the moon and also ends with the reappearance of the moon after the 29th or 30th day which results in the festival known as id-ul-fitr. I hope this has been enough to clear the questions asked?

As for the benefits. Apart from the spiritual aspects there are many health benefits. As for greetings. Just a greeting of Ramadan kareem and may God accept it as an act of worship is enough to say to a muslim you want to greet during the period and during the festivities your usual Barka de Sallah is suitable. you can read more for benefits here.

http://islam.about.com/od/ramadan/a/ram_benefits.htm
Now I know! Thanks. Ramadan kareem! smiley
