The grave of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu's cousin (Adaku Odemelam) is getting set ahead of her burial today. The lady was among the victims killed during the military invasion in Umuahia, Abia state. She was allegedly hit by a stray bullet during shootout by soldiers on 14th of September 2017.

Her grave is being dug near the residence of the IPOB leader at Afaraukwu in Abia state. May her soul rest in peace...

Politics › Re: "Let's Grow Up" My Open Letter To Nigerian Youths - As 1st October Approaches by jpphilips(m): 11:57am On Sep 21, 2017
10mobile:
Fellow youths!
Whether you know it or not, the future of this Nation (or even if it breaks up into smaller Nations) is in our hands as youths. Today, we too easily blame the oldies for having messed up things for us. We recount history and we point accusing fingers. Tomorrow, we shall be old and our children will do same to us UNLESS WE REALLY STAND UP TO CHANGE HISTORY NOW.

I want to tell you fellow youths that we are too advanced now (or we should be) to allow the oldies remote control us. Whether you are (alphabetically)Efik, Fulani, Hausa, Igbo, Tiv, Urhobo, Yoruba or whatever, you are still a kid if you cannot stand on your feet but instead depend on - and so teleguided by - the antiquated political class. We sometimes take sides with politicians from our parts of the country against people from other parts. That is the height of foolishness and see why: The entire ruling class in Nigeria have been selfish from day one. We are not fortunate enough to have REAL ROLE MODELS - people who really paid a price for our sake. Not as the South African youths have in Nelson Mandela for example. Instead, the entire political class, out of selfishness from day one, has taken decisions and made policies that have worked against you and me even as we are reading this.

So, instead of turning against one another, let us realise that we have a common enemy in the ruling class and all its extentions. But instead, we still allow them to remote-control us by using money and religion as baits. Let's realise that we are mortgaging our future whenever we do so.

There is this story of a local thieve who went and stole a goat belonging to a farmer named Terungwa. He went and prepared peppersoup with the goat and brought some in a dish to Terungwa and Terungwa was all thanks. How foolish he was! And that's what the ruling class does to us all. They have stolen a lot that would have made your and my life better than it is. Then, they sometime give us just a little out of the booty and we go hairwire for their sake and are ready to die or kill for them. Poor us!

Today, Emmanuel Macron is ruling a first world economy (France). While he was being sworn in this year, he was only 39. But here in Nigeria, 39- even 49-year-olds are content to die or kill to advance the political career of some old thieves somewhere. Shey na juju them do us so?

Let us spend more of our time and our energies working to be independent of these people instead of fighting one another. Let us make SACRIFICES to be free and for the sake of our children born and yet unborn. The earlier we do this, the better for us. Let us make the ruling class depend on us even financially. The advantage we have over them in this regard, is our young creative, progressive ingenuity. Today, corporations like Google, Facebook, Yahoo and yes, even Microsoft are ruling the world and youths like us have put them together. Let's think and grow up please.
When our 39 year olds are senseless, how are they supposed to lead? the latest f00l in Nigeria, Nnamdi kanu is how old?
Age is not the problem, sense is, the nigerian youth is extremely dumb, if they are not bathing salt water to cure Ebola, they are following a lunatic about.

From the interview, Nigeria is negotiating for the release of the Chibok girls which is not Buhari's fault that Jonathan was wanking when they took them in the first place.
Time has changed a lot, at the risk of killing the girls perhaps a productive dialogue will do the magic, in the case of kanu, what is there to negotiate with him? He is not even intelligent enough to have a plan B so what bargaining chip of his are we negotiating?
Politics › Re: Biafra: UN. Holding Crucial Meeting. by jpphilips(m): 9:54am On Sep 21, 2017
jpphilips:
I am not sure the Global card IPOB has on the table, except the IPOB leadership are amateurs in global politics.

Most Nigerians don't seem to realise that the fate of Nigeria is not decided in Abuja but Brussels & New York.
Any intelligent person with a cable subscription knows what happens there.
Again, a lot of youths in our generation seem not to understand that direct or indirect battle for oil is a battle of world powers not host countries.

The rift between Nigeria and Biafra has a final bus stop at the UNSC, with members having tremendous interest in Nigeria.
Before we discuss their interest, note that these nations referred here in as the *gods* are pursuing a globalisation agenda believed to be the fulcrum of their Economic and security prosperity.

In this agenda, two blocks exist, the Western and the Eastern block.
Western block consists of US, UK and France with their allies while Eastern block consist of Russia and China with their allies.
While they are the only recognised global security apparatchik, they have competitive foreign policies which makes them competitors in the real sense of it.

These blocks are the same Allied powers that won the 2nd world war so make no mistakes about their capabilities. They struggle daily to extend their various spheres of influence, economically, the western block is winning which gave rise to the use of the USD as the global exchange currency. Also is the Euro which is controlled majorly by France and Germany both allied to the Western block.
It is safe to assume for now, the west is winning the economic battle.

In defence, it is much more complicated, In summary, the Western security alliance is called NATO (I will discuss later) while the Eastern security alliance is called SCO. I will focus on their economic tussle to explain why the Biafra struggle is a waste of time, energy and precious blood!
Like I said previously, you must understand that the battle for a united Nigeria is not a battle between IPOB and machete wielding Almajiri men and women,
NO!!
It is a battle between IPOB and the economic interest of the western block, in other words, Nigeria is just a proxy through which that agenda is implemented, watch the silence of Nigeria so far in the face of threats, they are waiting for the gods to speak and the gods must surely speak in the fullness of time.

What is the Western financial interest in Nigeria you may ask?

There are three major parameters to consider;
The first interest which is primarily oil and gas assets which cost billions of dollars if not Trillions of usd and Capital funds in our Financial system.
One may erroneously ask; is it not our resources? The answer is a sad
NO
The gods believe that the oil and gas facilities have more value than your oil, they believe without their technology, funds and expertise, you won't even know your oil exist. Anybody, group or country that has challenged this unwritten presumption has met a non negotiable SHAMEFUL DEATH in the last 50yrs.
When the gods say BLOOD MONEY it means the blood of anybody who stand against this strategic interest eg includes facilities that produce oil and gas, extract Uranium, gold, copper, silver, platinum and most recently rare earth metals.
The western block has a security muscle (nicknamed the western agent of death) a synergy of the best militaries in north America, former Ottoman empire and Europe in an alliance called NATO.

The binding force of NATO is Article 5 and I quote

Collective defence means that an attack against one Ally or her interest is considered as an attack against all Allies.*

This is the reason why you see all their companies investing billions of usd in strange countries knowing that NATO *must* protect them.

Some familiar names that dared this alliance in recent times are
President Assad of Syria, Gaddafi of Libya, Saddam of Iraq, Manuel Noriega of Panama, Laurent Gbagbo of Ivory coast and several others.

Every person and so many others not on this list have met death or imprisonment except Assad of Syria protected by the Eastern bloc to counter Qatar's growing gas influence in the South dome.
My question to you igbos is; Who is Nnamdi Kanu to challenge the interest of the gods? when Gaddafi died as commander in chief of the second best Military in Africa at the time?
Who is Kanu when Saddam died as the commander of the second best military in the Gulf region after israel?

What are the other western interests in Nigeria?

Go through our national budget, you will realise that a significant portion is earmarked for debt servicing, have you bothered to find out who we pay those money to? The answer is the Western block except when the loan is taken from the Exim bank of China, then it is split between the two blocks. In the just rounded off 2016 budget we paid them a whooping 2.3T naira and I can assure we will pay higher in 2017.This money must be paid at an agreed date, failure of which will result to down grading ratings and several other punitive actions. This is not only applicable to Nigeria but most African and Asian countries, the situation with the Francophone countries is worse!! So I still consider Nigeria very lucky. Do you now understand why obasanjo did all his best to pay off our Paris club debts understanding its consequence?
That is the sad reality of the country you live in. Your government will never tell you this.

The final interest of the Western block in Nigeria is the USD already adopted as the global exchange currency, President Nixon's administration removed the gold backing from the usd due to its global reach, ever since, the usd is backed by commodities eg oil.
Do you know that once oil price goes up, the USD loses value and vice versa?

Nigeria is a significant producer of crude oil any interruption in Nigeria's oil output will tilt the supply equilibrium with significant price increase that is against the interest of the western block. You know that America still remains the largest importer of crude as such, America pays highest for any marginal increase in crude price. Do you now understand why the US is pumping shale oil to ensure lower crude price? that will strengthen the dollars and save America from debt. Anything that threatens a significant oil producer in the world is a direct threat to the western bloc, that threat must be crushed using whatever means necessary.

That is why on the global stage, Nigeria is called a strategic financial partner of the western block
Do you now understand why Osibanjo attended the last G7 summit when Nigeria is neither a member nor an observer.
This battle is bigger than what igbos think, the gods don't care about your problems with Hausa- Fulani and Yoruba marginalisation, they are focused on their interest alone. Even if it leads to the total destruction of your country/region, they don't care!!

With Donald Trump at the helm of affairs in the US, Rex Tillerson (former Exxon ceo oil mogul) as foreign secretary, Jim mattis (mad dog) as defence secretary (hero of the Brutal battle of Fallujah) and Mc master as the National security adviser.
This is a blood thirsty team rumoured to have killed the most wanted terrorist in the world Abu bakar Al Baghdadi the leader of ISIS within just 4 months of assuming office. This is surely not the best time to go against the US interest trust me on that!!

The Biafran journey leads to one destination from a global point of view and that destination is DEATH. The question for IPOB is; how do you want to die? welcome to Syria you f00ls!!

I'm typing this with heavy burden in heart. I'm getting crazy and weeping.

I met this lady over 6 years ago during my higher institution days, she was a fresher while I'm in my semi final year in school. Things were going well, we had sex after two years of the relationship(I'm the one that disvirgin her).

I have been very caring, stood by her and also,I let go of any ladies that comes my way. I didn't want anything that will stain the relationship. That doesn't mean I'm perfect however I have been trying my best to make her feel comfortable, loved and happy.

I started feeling comfortable and worried about my future with her because I discovered that anytime we had a misunderstanding, before you know it she has find a guy she will be dirty chatting with. She always say she's doing that to hurt my feelings.

I proposed last year, met her mum and one of her uncle and introduced her to my parents officially. Presently, waiting for her extended family to send the list for the traditional marriage.

I traveled to Ibadan on Friday to spend the weekend with her, on Sunday I just took her phone to watch movie when a Whatsapp message, I checked it and I replied the message. The guy called her, she was reluctant to pick the phone, she picked and spoke with the guy. After which the guy messaged her on Whatsapp that he called to confirm she's the one chatting with him and not her bf. I play along and started chatting with the guy. The guy was telling her to come visit him, I started twisting the guy and he was splitting out how he won't touch her when she comes. I confronted my girl, it took her over 8 hours to confessed that they had sex.

Jesus! This is a lady I invested a lot on, build my world around, every other ladies are shit in my presence. Even when I had 1000 of reasons to let go, I still stay with her but right now my world is shattered, I'm going crazy.
I need help because I'm dying, where will I start from (I'm 30 years old). Every negative thought of this world is running through my mind (from committing suicide to killing the guy to making the girl useless to herself for the rest of her life) cry cry cry cry

Another thing you must note is that you may have what it takes to start a war but you may not have what it takes to sustain it. Every ammo can be expended, if Barzai (Kurdish president) dares divert those arms to fight an Iraqi government that the US has spent a lot of money and blood to build, the party will be over. The US will withdraw their support, you can only imagine what Iraq will do to them afterwards.

Foreign Affairs › U.N. Says Won’t Play A Part In Iraqi Kurdish Referendum by jpphilips(op):
BAGHDAD (Reuters) - The United Nations said on Thursday it will not have a role in the Iraqi Kurdish referendum on independence planned to be held in September.

The United Nations Assistance Mission in Iraq (UNAMI) said in a statement released on Thursday that “it has no intention to be engaged in any way or form as concerns the referendum, to be held on 25 September”.

Iraq’s Kurds said the referendum on independence will go ahead despite warnings from western powers that a vote in favor of secession could trigger conflict with Baghdad at a time when the war against Islamic State is not yet won.

The Kurds are playing a major role in the U.S.-backed campaign to defeat Islamic State (IS), the ultra-hardline Sunni Islamist group that overran about a third of Iraq three years ago and also controls parts of Syria.

I don't like ipob neither do I like Nnamdi Kanu and his arrogance, I just don't like how human lives are wasted in Nigeria like chickens.
It will be better if you keep things in the right perspective, I read where Femi falana was analyzing the constitutionality of deploying the soldiers and he cited section 217 sub section 2c of the constitution which authorized the President to deploy the military in such regards to aid the civil authority, police in this case, the question folks like you should ask is; at what point is the police legitimately overwhelmed?

When they are all dead? when all their cars and stations are torched? how many police officers are posted to Abia state command? now compare with the population of IPOB? bear in mind that IPOB is a highly mobile group that can mobilize fighters in a matter of hours from other parts of the south east. Does the ratio conform to 1:3 directive on community policing? If the answer to all these concerns are NO, then it is safe to assume that the police is outnumbered hence the justification to activate section 217 sub section 2c , at least that is what a sane head of state will do unlike the nematode we used to have in Aso rock.

This is the problem I see here, Nigerians have gotten used to the former feminist madam Jonathan, they have no clue what it feels like having a proper male president, they are so ignorant of everything except noise, imagine a man holding bottles and clubs in a protest calls himself an unarmed protester, that is the level of stup!dity we are dealing with in this country.

The United States has sternly urged the semi-autonomous region of Iraqi Kurdistan to call off its independence referendum, saying the timing for the vote is not right.

Iraqi Kurdish legislators on Friday approved the September 25 vote that was set in motion by regional president Massud Barzani, a Washington ally who has publicly kept open the option of postponing it.

Washington has long supported Kurdish autonomy and has relied on the region's forces in the war against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) group, but it fears that now is not the time for the people to seize their freedom.

US officials fear the vote, while not legally binding, will hurt Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi's re-election chances; complicate ties with Turkey; and disrupt the war against ISIL (also known as ISIS).

This is still my major problem on way the army handle thir operations in the Niger Delta. They should stop further destruction of farmlands and environmental degradation in the name fighting militancy. Why burning method? Why pouring those petroleum products on land and the rivers? This is harmful to the environment and fishes and aquatic life dies in the process. They are aiding oil spillage and it also causes some hard time to the navy mobility too because oil in the rivers. The Army has transport unit (S&T), this petroleum products should be converted to their use as it will also save resources. No matter how hard it is for us to accept it, Nigeria needs modular refineries. What the Army is doing now is causing more harm than good and creating more reasons for youths to take up arms in the already restive Niger Delta region. Professionalism is lacking in their modus operandi in that region. Oil war can't be won by guns and bullets. They should have won that by now.
