Transport business is still one of the best passive income earner in our economy today.

There is a difference in being a car owner and being a transporter.

I don't know what your aims are or how u device to achieve it, people are making it and if you are not then u need to have a re approachment.

You were on here the other day and claiming drivers can't get a car here and how impossible it is to start a partnership.

I just got a car to manage right on this forum last week and another one about to be signed, all from here.

You really need to quit the negativity and look out more for the benefits.
Transport business is a good business. I have neve said transport business is not a good business.

I have been doing it since 2014. All I'm doing is to share my experience with people, so they won't make the same mistake i have made in the past.

I understand u manage cars and want people to invest. But u have to tell them the truth. Tell them the challenges, tell them they might loose their money also.

Everybody knows in transport business, vampires are everywhere, starting from drivers to mechanics, including managers.

Personally, I don't know about other businesses. But you see transportation, it demands Active participation.

If one is the type that just sleeps at home and expect to see Alert, hmmmm.. it's most likely to end in tears

Also, one needs to learn and gather experience. You could achieve this as you dive into it, or let an experienced person guide you.

I really can't argue with his experience, but what will make one change oil every 2 weeks? Obviously Mobil XHP was used...Penny wise

Knowledge is more valuable than money in transportation.

Give someone with Knowledge and expertise the same Sienna and watch him increase the car by 1 in 24 months

In summary: Anybody that wants to enjoy transportation should be ready to learn, get burnt and learn more...If you dey find cool money from the start, it may not happen that way
Anybody in transport as side hustle will not succeed.

Experience is the key.

I have change a Corolla gearbox because it doesn't enter revise not knowing it's Wiring problem. Kazeem cannot discover it, English speaking mechanic also condemn the gear.

But my ladipo rewire gave me the solution.

In this transport business understanding repairs is one of the key to success.

Thought NL uber drivers are the problems.
I connect both drivers here on nairaland. They were posting regularly about Sienna between 2016/2017.

See i have been in transport business since 2014, started with golf 3 on ogudu road, then join uber 2016, drove uber for 2months, b4 i decide to settle with investing with uber.

I started with uber when rent was 40k above, and I'm still here.

Gentlelife50 has worked under me in 2018 when he newly joined uber without knowing he was working 4 me.

Felicity0001 has applied to drive 4 me, via uber fleet match after filling my form, i make my research and discovered who he was then i start doing him turn turn, until he become frustrated.

Godswill10 if u know that business that raise u 2million to buy Sienna, dedicate more to it.

There is no such thing as side hustle in transport business, transport business is more like snake eat snake, most drivers are vampires, looking 4 who they will destroy to enrich themselves.

So because you failed doesn't mean everyone else would.

I have been doing this and I have people who are also into it.

As it is with e hailing where you have failures and success stories so it is with every business. There are people on this very forum who do interstate,@carshopper readily comes to mind.

I repeat, a sienna will do 40k weekly even this period and it makes more sense than a Corolla of same amount.
Yes, u have been doing it as a driver, for sure u will succeed.

Those doing it and are very successful dont do 40k weekly rent, either u own a park to issue ticket directly, or u r on the road yourself.

But given it to a driver to bring u weekly rent of 40k is complete nonsense.

Dont forget to inform the potential investor, sometimes they will claim car get spoilt in Benin. They will ask u to send all the money 4 repair.

During December, i was trying to follow up so i can make money for the Christmas rush, i suspend my agreement of weekly rent, lets go into a different sharing formula, driver and park take 2 seats money, agbero half seat.

early morning i join them in jibowu, delta line to load, the driver still try to fool me, how much ticket was sold, i have to go through the window to ask a passenger, how much she bought her ticket.

That same day he called me tire bust in Benin this and that, my broda that money i was happy i made for Christmas was collected back.

Bigleaf1006:
The sienna will serve you best considering the times we are in.

You can be using it for interstate and charter services or better still give it out so you can be receiving weekly income, sienna will comfortably do 40k a week for you if you give it out.

You can contact me concerning that.
Godswill10

See them vampires,

One of them post about sienna to Ghana, how lucarative, i gave out my 2nd sienna, spending almost 150k in Registration.

My broda after 2months, i run 4 my life.

I end up selling those sienna

The interstate for 990k,

The ghana route for 1.1

landing cost 4 both 2.1m

Pls run 4 ur life.

Good morning all.
Please I need advice here. I am considering of getting a car to drive since my work doesn't come steady, a friend was telling me to buy sienna instead of car.
(1) can 2m get a sound sienna?
(2) which do I make more money? Sienna or getting car for uba?
It's not going to be steady but just that sometimes I stay like a week or too before getting contract.
Thanks
I import sienna 4 sale and one driver canvass me into putting it for interstate for 40k weekly.

I decide to give it a try, within 3months of doing the business i regret my decision.

40k weekly 4 sienna sound so good, when u calculate it weekly to one year.

but the repairs will frustrate u, brake pad will be change every 2 weeks, oil every 2 weeks, tie rod, ball joints, tires u will have to keep changing, and u wont be able to save from the 40k

Why this unnecessary attack on personalities? Because people disagreed with your 35k weekly remittance?
I advise you take to the streets and drive your car or source for the drivers OFF Nairaland that will remit even 50k weekly.

Or May I ask, have you found drivers OFF nairaland who are remitting 35k already?
Where is the attack? check from this page to back 10 pages and see if people are still posting cars for rent.

The ones that truly attacked me u applaud them, but given a driver that has been searching 4 car since March to quit searching here and look elsewhere is now attack.

Old members that have up to 10 cars are no more coming here to look 4 driver's.

90% owners avoid nairaland drivers, they are greedy and manipulative

I believe they're timid coz most people have been given this orientation that anyone you meet online is a scammer, murderer or rapist

There's a lot of bad people leaving bad reputations for the good likes of me out there ☺️
90% of uber connect is online.

2/3 years ago, partners come here to post about looking 4 drivers, but since most partners here has been bully off nairaland, they find alternative.

Most of the drivers here are like those lazy papa in taxi parks, they sit at park and discourage younger generations.

Look at most of them like Felicity0001 Gentlelife50, they are all above 40, life has hit them so hard, that dey r looking 4 owner's they will take advantage of.

Honestly, u will struggle to get a car here, most owners don't want to associate with drivers from this forum.

Church is 50% capacity.

Now 90% people who wants to go to church via bus will choose uber cars.

Most owner's are selling off, bc alot of fixing going on and poor returns. So better u sell off early b4 they turn the car to scrab

Where is the insult?

That he has hustled since 2002 and still a driver on rental is not insult, if he feel is easy he should go and make money and invest in uber.

I will say it again, once church open Rental should increase from current 25k weekly.

Help, how much is rental for a good corolla at this period?
Corolla is very scarce now, more than 20 drivers calling everyday requesting to get a car to drive.

Owners parked down their cars. Only few allowing their cars to work.

16hours of driving and getting 15/20k weekly is not worth it.

By the time business is back to normal, your Corolla we start giving you problems and you won't have money to fix, bc that money dey are giving u now is for maintenance in the near future, but u r using it to feed.

You may have to park your cars for a very long time then because I can't see light at the end of the tunnel anytime soon. By so doing, your cars are also suffering massive wear and tear due to lack of usage.

Eventually, you will be faced with two options, accept the reality on ground (what smart business men do) or sell off the cars at give away prices. Either way, you may not escape losing, no matter how hard you try to dodge it. That's the hard truth. The choice will be yours to make.
Continue fooling yourself, who told u cars parked down, loose wear and tear, some of the tokunbo and new cars in the market, stay in the garage for 6 months to one year, b4 finally been sold.

Cars shipped from California stays sometimes 3months inside container b4 arriving lagos, did it loose it wear and tear?

If u don't know about cars u keep quite and face ur driving job.

Economy will surely open, if it open in 6months much better,

Today dollar rate is 460, do think investors can still access that same car at old rate?

I pity investors killing their cars for 15/20k, they result will come in the future.

Let’s assume a scenario where as the car owner, your driver/partner delivered N30k weekly, and he’s been reliable and steady. He also takes good care of your car.

Fast forward to corona era, same driver offers you N20k weekly to keep using your car. Are you saying it’s better to park the car indefinitely?
I have 2 driver's i really pity their situation, i allow them work this week, next week off, I'm concern about usage of the car.

Here is the point the car will be used more with little return.

That same Corolla you bought in 2019 early 2020 is no more the same, dollar has gone up, investors have to very careful

What kind of mentality is this? This is like the second time I read this kind of statement on this thread. That patronage is low means we should close shop then go home and watch? Do you even have the slightest idea of how things work?

Do you know that most ehailing drivers are graduate and most are married and with kids and wives?

Do you know that N1500 can sustain a family of 5 for 3days in this trying time?

In fact I don't need to go any further with you. If you have a car kindly park it at home and let your driver starve with his family since you've other lines of income all because you want to save cost or avoid cost of repairs
Car owner is not federal government, just an ordinary investor, that want to recoup his investment and make some money.

You feeding ur family is ur problem, u can go do laborer work to survive ur family.

So bc graduate is driving my car, i will not protect my investment, i will protect ur degree and family bah?

When importers bring in goods from China, and the price drop, maybe bc market is flooded with many goods, wise importers withdraw their goods, until market comes back to normal.

Putting ur car for 20k means car owner is running at lost.

The only reason a car owner will continue allowing his car to go for 20k is because he need food on his table, but business wise, doesn't make sense

I don't sometimes believe on new monikers here... They are likely to come here and course trouble and leave....

How will someone Gross 100k like in this season? How?

I dont know if its only me thinking that person must be a magician or he's picking dangote only as his request.

On my taxify/bolt my gross is 24k for the whole week oh and i work everyday. In these period if you net 10k a day, youre likely to be owning bolt 2k minus fuel 3,500k you eat 500N last but not the least, your chances of getting return trip to wherever youre living is just 2% so you must buy fuel 1k at least to take you home. E'vething sum up to 7k you only gain 3k.

Next money youll have to buy fuel 2k at least but remember youre already owning bolt 2k so they might turn off your cash trips after 2 to 3 cash trip on that day. Meanwhile uber is no go area because considering their 25%, if request take you to ikotun either cash/card on uber youre done cos your bolt that may rescue you is on card trips.

The work isnt worth it nowadays and dont let anybody come here and be telling people nonsense. Misleading car owners here and there.

Its isnt easy to invest and be seeing remitance of 10k_15k on car of 2m but then its global pandemic.

Supposed im on rental i wouldve jejely go and park the car to owner from first week and go into something else.

But this whole 2020 is for us to survive only 2021 we will be fine.

So to new moniker please stay tf and get your fact right
Best bet for owners, park your cars down, dont take 20k, those usage will create maintenance, once everything is back to normal, put in back ur car.

Most cars on uber are even used more this days with less return.
