njokuuche77: She played the game well no doubt. But let’s be honest: if someone has to hassle you just to look good for a date, that already says a lot. I saw the signs, but I chose to give benefit of the doubt. Doesn’t make me foolish just proves she’s good at pretending.
In the end, I may have lost money, but she lost access to a real one. I’ll recover, can’t say the same for her integrity.
That's the problem - he did NOT see the signs; in fact, he misread the signs.
Note that the moment she started the nonsense is when he began addressing her as "my lady". Why? Because he saw it as a sign that she was going to be his since he got the chance to prove his feelings for her through spending. He doesn't know that spending on a girl means nada to her and has zero correlation with getting her to like you - he's at the "simp" level of man-woman relationship.
Only possible good thing out of this would be if he learns his lessons, because almost every man passes through the this stage. Only guys who were raised/mentored by skilled women chasers escape it. I myself passed through this stage. So I'll assume he's young and will grow out of it.
No fraud can ever be more humongous than the Oil and Gas sector.
None !
That sector alone account for more than 70% revenues.
CBN is a Bankers Bank and NNPC is a money printing machine .
Everything you've said here makes 700 duplexes, "the biggest asset recovery in the world", child's play? Oh, ok, you want us to ASSUME that SOMEONE we don't know at NNPC (the cash-printing machine) must have made enough to acquire 800 duplexes. Yeah, really makes Meffy look good. You won. Like I said, tough job.
abayomi27: When you try to be a gentleman, they label you a simp, when you decide to be prudent in your spending, they say you are stingy. How best can we please you ladies?? We want to learn
Stop trying to please them. That only makes you come across as needy. Be a good person to her but always keep your head.
njokuuche77: You’re not a fool. You were just kind to the wrong person. Some women are so used to suffering that when you treat them well, they call it stupidity. Next time, spend that money on jollof, data and vibes. Return on investment go sure pass.
Kind is when you spend money on someone in need. Foolish is when you fall for "I don't have a dress I want to look good for you". She even hassled him to buy her three and he still didn't see the writing on the wall.
ediko5: This man said a lady called him a fool and a gay after he spent money on the lady without demanding for kna-ck and he asked his friend if he's actually foolish for doing that.
Another one bites the dust. Simps are born per second per second.
@bolded For not demanding sex? No, he's not a fool. For spending that amount? Not necessarily - if he has the money and that's change to him. For falling for the "I don't have a dress I want to look good for you" line? Yes, a grade A fool.
If the NNPC and humanitarian ministry is thourughly probed then you will know that his own was a selective child's play.
Yes, Mr Emefiele was not the only sinner. No one ever said he was. No, his own is not child's play by any standard. He was a big crook whose crimes had serious economic implications.
Drsmiles: Why do countries go to war or conflict, loose lives and then return back to the discussion table that you were avoiding before Cease fire and talks after people papa and mama don die ??
Because mankind is not yet civilised.

Dreal1247: The CNN indeed is the Calamity News Network. Imagine spreading fake news to discredit the successes recorded against terrorism. I believe that before the end of Donald Trump regime, the entire world must cease to regard the news coming from the CNN as they are always having dirty motives.
At least, someone here actually believes Iran - he even thinks this is proof that CNN is bad. I'm sure Iranians hope the rulers of America believe them.
Lanruze: If you have no sin Mr. Brazilian- Juandedios name cast the first stone.
Who said he didn't sin ? At least on the Dangote Refinery he didn't sin, he provided the Dollars for Dangote. That's strategic !
Countries devalue their currencies for strategic reasons Mr. Juan.
Abeg shift !
You said his "only sin" is naira redesign - so I brought up another sin, the one he was actually accused of. So why are you upset exactly?
Anyway, the fact you think Mr Emefiele's serious economic crimes against this country should be overlooked because he made forex available to build a refinery and because Juan also has sons already shows up your thought process. But I guess defending a dyed-in-the-wool crook like Meffy is a tough job hat only a strong and courageous person like you can take on.
Lanruze: For Godwin Emefiele the former CBN Governor, call him any name you like, blackmail and paint him bad as you like but the other side of history will note his contribution to the Dangote Refinery.
He singularly made FOREX available to Dangote and also at the official rate for construction process and during the procurement of assets in the plant.
His only sin was the Naira re-design policy which some people believe was a clear affront to their ambition.
I am sure Emefiele is laughing at El-rufai now.
Akinwunmi Adeshina and Emefiele fought alongside Alhaji Dangote to make this happen and now 25% of forex demand has been reduced based on the functionality of this humongous asset.
So making billions from round tripping (which is why he was declared wanted and later arrested by the DSS) is no sin to you? Or you think it never happened, and that the 700 duplexes were proceeds of his cassava farm at Agbor?
Going for Hajj proves religiosity. But what of holiness? Does Islam preach holiness at all? Or does it preach COMPENSATION - the idea that if you keep the five pillars (pray, give alms, go for Hajj, etc.), you're covered in other areas?
I think this is a problem. Religion ought to preach holiness.
zero8zero: The woman at the center of a controversial land ownership dispute in Lagos, Mrs. Olorunlogbon, has issued a scathing response to former presidential candidate Peter Obi, accusing him of politicizing and misrepresenting facts surrounding a property demolition that recently gained public attention.
Obi had taken to his X handle to decry the demolition of a property he claimed belonged to his family. However, in a full-length statement, Mrs. Olorunlogbon accused Obi of peddling contradictions and misleading the public on a matter that is currently sub judice.
Goodvibes007: The dictator president paid a lot of YouTube influencers, twitter influencers, and bloggers to lie to the world that it was doing extremely well since it kicked out France. But alas, the dictator has been collecting loans from IMF lol
Some of his propaganda videos below. You can see them saying he rejected imf financial aid in one video and kicked them out in another
It's Russian disinformation bots spreading pro-army rule propaganda. People don't know what we're up against. Even educated Africans are falling for it.
From where I'm standing, brutally raising and brutally murdering a grown animal, cutting its corpse into nasty pieces, cooking them up with salt and pepper and then devouring them seems far more graphic and barbaric than this. Just saying.
Well, we're in the middle of a borrowing extravaganza. Did they really expect Mr Okpebholo to be left out just because of his little educational and oratorical challenges?
dermmy: He wants people to believe his B-2 spirits did marvellous job. They should allow him if that would make him happy. Make dem no spoil baby Trump's mood o

Botragelad: This is a new low for Iran. How do you lose this much in just 12 days? And yet, these guys and their supporters kept talking big like they were winning, even though they didn’t manage to take out a single Israeli general or cause any real damage to Israel military. Lol.
Generals, nuclear facilities, scientists, hundreds of soldiers, launchers, all gone. Couldn’t even protect their own generals from getting taken out in an embarrassing way. 🤣🤣
Yeah, very poor outing for Iran, one must say.

Brazino: If you found out that your unborn child would have special needs, would you Terminate the pregnancy?
Me: YES. I would terminate the pregnancy.
Should depend on the special need.
I don't think a pregnancy should be terminated because of autism or Down's syndrome. But more serious developmental issues - that will keep the person bound a wheel chair for life and bar him or her from basic functionality, being able to live independently and enjoying a measure of happiness - definitely warrant a consideration of termination.
Kobicove: Yes you're right about that, the US helped engineer the breakup because it was the largest country on earth

Racoon: There was also a time Russia was part of Yugoslavia, then it the called USSR. I remember Montenegro and Serbia once also broke out from it. Next Boznia and Hego.
Well, the rise and fall of political empires/dynasties are considered as normal political sequence of events.
I'm sure you mean, time when Yugoslavia was a part of the USSR. Well, it wasn't. But it was a part of the Eastern bloc, which the USSR dominated and controlled - for a few years until General Tito came to power and came up with his "non-aligned movement" or something like that.

stevebond007: It's people's culture and tradition, stop trying to be unAfrican. Respect their culture. If it doesn't bother them, it shouldn't bother you.
Some cultures don't hurt people. Those are the ones you respect even if you don't like them. But if a practice hurts people, it should bother all human beings and it's not 'unAfrican' to say so.
Several times when me and my gang stole neighbors' fowls' eggs when we were 7 yrs, we ate that shiiii.
Recently my grandma cooked one for me. It was really crunchy. You might be tempted to remove the little feathers before crunching away, but don't! It tastes better with the feathers trust me.
Also, before I forget, start eating it from the head, and don't remove the beak first. Really good stuff, especially when half done.
Lol Guy, you're mean o!

Kemetian: Shocking lack of intelligence displayed on this thread.
Why exactly should Nigeria spend billions of dollars on cutting edge “air defence systems” in anticipation of Missiles from Who exactly?
America?
Britain?
Israel?
China?
Iran?
Who tori Olorun?
Who wants to drop Cruise Missiles or Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles into Nigeria?
Every country worth its salt has billions of dollars of investments In Nigeria, plus planned investments, from China to Russia to even Iran!
If we are talking of military ranking, Nigeria is 3rd in Africa after Egypt and Algeria.
In fact we’re 2nd. It’s not fair to add Egypt because they are heavily funded and armed by the US as a counterweight to Iran etc in that region.
Nigeria ranks a very respectable 31st on Earth, out of a world of 202 countries.
The Nigerian military ranks above Portugal, the Netherlands, Mexico, Argentina, South Africa, Morocco, Switzerland, Colombia, and many other countries. See link below to Global Firepower Index.
The military does not spend money on equipment for which there is no rationale.
Nigerian military spends big money on armoured carriers and such equipment for its most pressing issues - terrorists.
Iran military spends big money on air defence systems because her own problems are different from our own. She is facing Israel. Enemies.
Pakistan spends big on air defence systems because of India with whom they have endless problems.
But you can bet that Sri Lanka and Bangladesh next door to Pakistan Don’t have any big “air defence systems”.
Why? Because they have no threat or enemies to expect a cruise missile attack from.
So military equipment procurement is not about ‘bragging rights’, you children.
It’s about strategic procurement based on your current threats.
See the respected Global Firepower Index for national rankings.
I agree we don't need to spend on air defence - at this time. What we need are well-equipped and modern special forces units (both military and police) that can track people in both urban and forests and mount decent search and rescue operations. We also need a decent fighting force that can tackle terrorists. Then we need a good border force.
