MartinCorridon: 11. Failed woefully as a military and civilian leader.
RIP to him.
During his tenure, my income quadrupled because its tied to $, but over 99% of Nigerians who don't have that privilege really suffered.
So-called General under whose tenure a train was hijacked, kidnapping increased and whole States became no go area
Anti corruption reputation yet under his reign, his lieutenants looted Nigeria mercilessly e.g. Emefiele with over 700 houses, Sirika with blatant Air Nigeria 8 billion naira scam and Malami with several scandals.
Nigerian leaders - IBB, Yar'adua, Buhari, and even Tinubu now, with all the billions allocated to health, can't even tolerate getting more than 1st Aid in Nigeria. Functionless leaders.
Politicstoday: APC will succeed in Osun State without Adeleke. See Osun State politics is highly different. Tinubu miscalculated here. Adeleke will be defeated as the electorates will votes enmass against him .
Konquest: What sort of sensationalism is this? I don't see a very large crowd in that video.
Second, she's talking as if Belarus is a poor country with uneducated folks which it isn't. Coincidentally I read and watched documentaries years back about Belarus. The standard of education is very high in that country being a former member of the defunct Soviet Union which placed strong emphasis on the sciences, engineering, etc, so you have a large pool of men and women who are today in the tech ecosystem, investment banking and more.
Third, for those trying to get to Belarus through their embassy in Nigeria, I hope some of them are NOT allowing themselves to be foolishly recruited to go and fight in the Russian-Ukraine War through Belarus which is a key ally of Russia? Belarus has also faced Western sanctions for allowing Russia to use it's territory to launch attacks on Ukraine. There is ALSO CLEARLY a language barrier so they have to learn the local language.
Due diligence is key. Period.
Well, science or not, the country is ruled by a mad man. Dude might wake up tomorrow and conscript all of them and send them to Ukraine.
Goalnaldo: In as much as the Nigerian police force is renown for corruption, there are still some good people there. Denying this man PR simply because he was associated with the force is unethical and could be labeled as witch hunting. Should I say all Americans are g*ys simply because a very large of them resides there?
Well, the judge didn't deny that there may be good officers, but he says they're all guilty by association. I don't agree with this reasoning, but I understand it. The fact that Mr Eriator was a member of SARS makes the denial justifiable in my view.
And why do you think the % of gays is higher in the US than Nigeria?
Ishilove: That's why the Sports bodies were up and doing because they know the kind of person ruling the country
The irony of miliary rule is that this was not the case. Case in point: the refinery issue we're having today started under Abacha. They budgeted and spent millions of $ on TAM and not one worked optimally. At some point, even for the refineries that managed to work at low capacity, they'd load the products onto ships in the dark and bring them into our ports days later as "imported PMS". All this went on under Abacha.
Trust me, our success in sports under the man was not due to anything he did. It was previous governments.
Cups & Trophies Nigeria Won Under The Reigns Of The Late Gen. Abacha(1993-1998)
Yes. He was still a vile dictator who had a thing for looting and murder though. One of the worst.
Dictators - from Commodus to Mobutu to Mohammed bin Salman - have always used sports to try to clean up their image. I recall a Tell magazine headline "Abacha in Trouble: Despite Eagles' Victory, His Problems Mount." Gani Fawehinmi also said in an interview that Abacha was carrying Super Eagles on his head to deflect attention.
lexy2014: How does lying about rats in order to cover up buhsris Ill health which was being paid for by the country amount to keeping Nigeria as one?
Let's restructure the sentence for structural correctness. It should be - How does lying about a rat invasion in order to cover up Buhari's Illhealth, which was being paid for by the country, help keep Nigeria one?
Senioreddy: Can you please explain further by giving us more insights as regards the risk involved as well as how to mitigate/avert such risk
Shares go up and down. That's it, and nothing anyone can do about it. You can reduce your risk exposure by studying the market and movement patterns and studying the fundamentals of any company you wish to invest in. You can do this yourself or have an expert do it for you. Learn to recognise temporary highs and lows so you know what to buy, sell or hold for the long term. Learn to recognise bubbles.
HEAVEN4444: Lagos Is great if you have money. Without money it's trash . Too pricey. Food is not that great. Amala and ewedu you need to go to ibadan to get good food
Haba naa! There are great amala spots in Lagos. I can direct you to some. There are great restaurants that serve great food too. Even with small money, you can get by in Lagos - as long as you have ACCOMMODATION to perch.
Kobojunkie: 1. Birds of a feather, they say, flock together after all.
2. Endurance wives are iron ladies, naw... they endure all sorts of bullsheet as that is their particular claim to fame.
3. Patient? Oh, No! Endurance wives are not patient at all. Rather, they passively accept every scoop of poop shoved their way.
4. Won't giving them high BP backfire more times than not?
5. They aren't all wicked women. Those who lied to you that such women are wicked are probably the same men who hail you for being an endurance woman. Those women instead know what they want and deserve in particular situations — I acknowledge it is hard to have it all in Nigerian marriages — and they choose never to settle for less than that. Human who truly love and value themselves should live every moment of their lives with a similar attitude.
obembet: I stil wondering why Most Nigerian politicians humble themselves to the lowest whenever they are looking for support from Nigeria.
But immediately they find Thier way to power, you will never see the hawks it again.
Because they know Nigerians want "humble" leaders. That was why they said Buhari could not afford a presidential nomination form.
But it's not always about politics. Some of them are actually humble and eat with ordinary people, but because they're in politics and there's a camera, people will interpret it as political.
Anyway, it's wrong to think that just because someone is humble, they'll make a good leader. You can even have integrity (not chop money) and be a failed leader if you don't know how to lead and run things effectively.
Wasky101: Will u make similar excuse for this man or have his head on a spike?
No. I believe this is a political stunt by Okorocha.
Obi's maybe a political stunt or may not be. I'm just saying that serving food is not out of his character - he does that sort of thing. I've done that sort of thing too. If I was a politician, people would have said it was a stunt.
Wasky101: Stop deciding yourself, we both know the intentions behind this.
Peter was jumping from pulpit to pulpit in 2022, how many times have u seen in any church after the elections.
Now he his going to serve food in parties, will he continue to serve food in parties after he losses 2027.
This is no a leadership trait. Even in a family party that is well organized will u find the head of the family carrying trays around.
So your position is that he goes to pulpit before elections and serves food in parties after elections. I guess the era of camera breeds nothing but speculations and the inputting of motives.
On your last line, Obi was the family head there? Anyway, yes, it can happen. The family head's younger brother, or even the head himself, could see a wrongly placed tray and set it right or carry it where it should be.
