GodPunishOsu: How is Oro a bad thing?if you read Bible and Quran and you still worship Allah or Jehovah, you have no moral justification to say someone is supporting bad thing. Oro is a bad thing. Tell them to reform and stop killing. Why are you obsessed with Bible and Quran? Who told you I'm practicing Christianity or Islam? |
Politics › Re: Former Vice President Alhaji Namadi Sambo Defects From The PDP To APC by JuanDeDios: 11:05pm On Jun 18, 2025 |
Amotolongbo: I hope Omoyele Sowore, Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar won’t defect to APC the way things are going. Sowore, definitely not. Obi, very unlikely (unless they reach out to him and tell him they'll make him their presidential candidate, which is very unlikely since Jagaban wants a second term). Atiku, it's possible, but that would be if his chi spoke to him in his dream and told him that if he defects, they'll give him the presidential ticket. |

Kobojunkie: Kids can be had outside of a marriage, so the same set of sacrifices are necessarily when pursuing that. These sacrifices are not unique to married couples. Maybe try to understand things you read? Ok, I'll try again. I'm NOT talking about the sacrifices of raising kids. I'm talking about the sacrifices of marriage itself (which should have been clear to you since that's what we're talking about). Some people believe they need to be married to have kids, so they "endure" the "sacrifices" of marriage to reap that benefit (that is, kids). |
Family › Re: Married, Divorced Or Separated Folks. Let's Talk by JuanDeDios: 8:37pm On Jun 18, 2025 |
Kobojunkie: Parents for sure have to make sacrifices for the good of their kids. However, not all parents are in marriages; therefore, sacrifices made towards the having and raising of one's kids aren't really considered marital orientation, are they? For example, you want kids and you feel that is best done within marriage. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ . |
Family › Re: Married, Divorced Or Separated Folks. Let's Talk by JuanDeDios: 8:29pm On Jun 18, 2025 |
Kobojunkie: Sacrifice of what and for what, abeg? Marriage is sold as a better alternative than singledom for those who are not satisfied with singledom... Am I wrong? If you are going to drone on and on about sacrifice this and that in marriage, why not just remain single, and enjoy it without all the supposed sacrifices? Fair point. But maybe it's for a higher purpose - as defined by the marrier. For example, you want kids and you feel that is best done within marriage. So you make sacrifices to get what you want. |

Again it's risky driving through such road condition. But was the road BAD or it was just flooded? |

CrownedPhoenix: Supported. Some will argue that all these does not affect a student's education.
Yes, it doesn't. But we need to start to return to some level of decency and sanity.
Theoretically, I agree you can carry dreadlocks with tattoos all over your body and sag your Jean trousers to knee-length and still be tops in your class.
But here in Nigeria, let's be honest, IN REALITY, how many of those type of people have you seen around you topping their classes like that.
Unchecked minor misbehaviours grow into larger deviant behaviours/problems we eventually have to deal with as a society. Interesting view. What problems are created by dread locks, tattoos and painted hair that can negatively affect society? |

nairalanda1: Yes, and the HUMINT is driven by that 'we are threatened'
Also, Israel is a homeland of Jews from around the world...and that includes a lot of middle eastern areas. That's a source of intelligence. Iran does not have that. Yes, these geopolitical and historical factors play a huge role. Ukraine has a lot of citizens that speak Russian as their first language and it's super easy for agents from such communities to blend in in Russia. Russia does not have that. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Ali Shadmani: Israel Kills Iran's Top Commander In Charge Of Iranian Armed Force by JuanDeDios: 8:20am On Jun 17, 2025 |
nairalanda1: More like Israel has to be overcompetent because they are under severe threat.
Iran has competent armed forces. The problem is, the existence of Iran has never been under threat...and they are fighting a country who also is competent but with the added problem of always being under existential threat...meaning they have to work dobule time, and then work dobule time.
If the Israelis were fighting the USA? Same result. ditto Russia. Not because they are invincible, but because they have nothing to lose. Fighting a man with nothing to lose is a dangerous proposition. That's how Afghanistan threw out the british, the Russians and the USA. Despite being a nation of backward people. They gat nothing to lose. Fair point. Fair point. But I think the main difference is HUMINT. Israel has many agents in Iran - within and outside government. Iran is not in the same position with Israel. The same applies to Ukraine - it has people inside Russia, but Russia is not in the same position. |

Tradepunter2: Please sssshhhh up.... Iran are very incompetent.... Russia can't do this to Ukraine cuz Ukraine is well protected.... Ukraine also eliminated Russian generals, if they could get the top it will be good.... But he'd well protected by the svr and military intelligence That would be very good indeed. Pity that shit-faced Prigozhin didn't do it. . |

The state of Israel can't keep acting like terrorists.
If na Russia do this one for Ukraine nobody go hear word.
This is terrorism simple.
People are applauding Israel while they are carrying out assassinations like terrorists and extra judicial killing.
These should be classified as war crimes! Well, Russia, Hamas, Israel, and Iran all have something in common - they're all terroristic. |

timilehin007: Tinubu effect. We are inching closer. It's just a matter of time before we claim our bragging rights back, the things that made the world reckoned us as the giant of Africa, we will get them all back We're not inching anything. They consider a lot of factors (e.g., number of males of military age). The Nigerian military in its present form can't take on the likes of Ethiopia or South Africa. Even the Sudanese military has far more helicopters than we do. We have the potential but we need to do a lot of work. |

The task shoyld encompass allocation of space, construction and maintenance of infrastructure and building. But Nigeria isnt an ideal place so anything goes. The FCTA should be the real estate agent and contractor of other government departments and agencies? I don't think you're correct at all. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Why US Soldiers Can't March In Unison by JuanDeDios: 3:32pm On Jun 15, 2025 |
Mobsync: Their inability to march doesn't make them bad soldiers. But it indicates there is something wrong somewhere. Maybe they don't train on how to march, which is okay, or they cannot march (even if they wanted to), which is likely an indicator of an institutional issue. Right. But I guess this institution never took marching seriously. It was never a part of their doctrine or culture. |
