mysticwarrior: This is the first time am seeing this, that thing can kill a human, depressed and frustrated people have used sniper to commit suicide in Nigeria. But after applying the sniper on these raw food, won't the smell lingers because sniper has a very strong smell?
For a day or so, yes. After that, you won't smell it but it remains active on the food.
Ebubu2: He’s not dull. That man has started out very well. 300 Ebonyians going for scholarship in STEM courses in the UK 700 Ebonyians going for scholarship in Nigerian universities within the country. Completing Dave’s stadium and Vanco flyover. Took back popular Ebonyi state university teaching hospital back from Federal Government. Increased Ebonyi state university university monthly subvention to 280 million monthly from 150million. Took in 1,500 Ebonyians into civil service Paid gratuities accumulating from 1996 when state was created. Increased civil servants salary and paid 100k last December to each civil servant. Revamped internal street roads, changed diesel traffic lights to solar.
Remodelled 39 public secondary schools in the state Employed doctors nurses pharmacists in the state general hospitals found in each local government and gave the doctors prado jeeps each.
Abeg Ebonyi governments naturally from time immemorial don’t like paying for media hype. If you don’t come to the state or visit you will not know what is going on.
That project built 20 years ago just has a structural design default, it just deserves to be demolished, if you reconstruct e go fall.
Good. But I'll really like to see more ROADS and municipal water. He should invest in electricity too - now that states are allowed to act in that direction. Then bring back Ebube Agu so that criminals and Fulani marauders won't take it all away.
Chicagograduate: Pastor Chris rises the dead.He makes the cripple to walk again. He heals cancer and AIDS patients according to his televised miracle healing outreach. However, this is a small work for him to do.If he can't, it means he doesn't have faith in himself.
Well, I'm sure after it's burnt he will lay his hands on the premises and the building will rise from the ashes. Satan will be put to shame - just watch.
jesusjnr2020: The Physical And Spiritual Dangers Of Fornication And Adultery (Photo/Video)
A few years back, i made a post on the dangers of prostitution in this day and age, because of the alarming rate with which prostitutes were being used for rituals by ritualists, especially considering how easy it was to get them.
Now, a few years later, it appears that it's not only prostitutes whose lives were so endangered but also fornicators and adulterers.
The recent trending news of a guy that used his undergraduate girlfriend for rituals is just one of such instances, as many don't get as much coverage.
So these days it's not just sleeping with strangers or unknown persons that's dangerous, but also those one knows personally and even has a relationship with, like someone's boyfriend, girlfriend or lover, because the person could be an established or aspiring ritualist who hasn't a single drop of feelings or emotional attachment to them, but only see them as a money-making machine.
Hence we keep waking up to news of the brutal killings and dismembering of such ones for ritual purposes among other atrocious things we get to see on a daily basis, which also proves how desperately evil the hearts of men have become these days.
Worse still, after their lives have been untimely ended in such a brutal manner, they would still have to face their Maker on the day of judgement to give an account of the lives they lived while yet on Earth.
Hebrews 9:27 (KJV)
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
So when you see us warning you to flee from sin, especially sexual immorality, it isn't because we are jobless and don't have anything else to do, but we know the dangers that comes with such, as they give the enemy, who only comes to man, to steal, kill and destroy his life, an opportunity to exploit for his own purpose. John 10:10a
Moreover some of these satanic devices were actually designed to get your souls locked down while you're yet entangled in sin, because the devil knows that once you're dead, there's no second chance for you to make amends.
So be careful out there.
Try and avoid sexual immorality at all cost.
It could save your life not just here in this world but also in the world to come.
God bless.
This again.
Well, I think "fornication" will be very hard to eradicate. Very hard.
Be giving those oversabi Christians sleepless nights. ..
I don't know if there's a God or not. But it's obvious it/he/she does not interfere in the affairs of men. No special benefits whatsoever for believing in the existence of a God.
As a Nigerian, you'd still fail exams if u do not prepare well. You'd still fail interviews with no proper connections. You'd still fall sick, get involved in accidents that may even claim your life, get kidnapped and die gruesome death.
I ask, what's that special benefit do believers actually get from their so call relationships with god
SocialJustice: No risk taken, the God described by religion is fallible. A little common sense, you see it does not add up, then religious folks ask you to believe blindly.
What's happening to the PDP in Edo? I hope this is not how we'll end up with that Okpebholo. Anyway, it's not surprising - given Obaseki's terrible politics.
Nukilia: The virtual thing will not work. Everyone knows that it is all about TOURISM and the use of RELIGION as a decoy. The countries that sponsor their people to such events know of a truth that they are impoverishing themselves to improve the economy of KSA.
When we all realize that it is more of an economic Golgotha than a religious shrine, then we will wake up.
Righthussle: Do you know how much Saudi Arabia makes every year from the pilgrimage? How will making it a virtual exercise put money into the pockets of the government of Saudi Arabia? Because the whole thing is about making money off the gullible.
The Saudis don't decide anything for all Moslems. Sure, they'd be vehemently opposed to such reforms, but if a majority of Muslim scholars worldwide agree, they could issue a fatwa authorizing the reforms.
Righthussle: How will dey stone the devil if they make it virtual
I'm sure the resourceful Muslim scholars can come up with something. For example, you could snap your fingers each time you're meant to throw a stone. The pillars in Mina isn't the devil anyway - they merely SYMBOLIZE the devil. So snapping your fingers where you are doesn't really water things down.
Moslems have always shown themselves to be progressive when it comes to taking advantage of modern technology. So I think it’s time the Hajj is reassessed and modernized in the face of present-day realities. All the heat waves, stampedes while stoning the devil, etc., have made this necessary. There is no year people don’t die during the Hajj and 550 have reportedly died so far this year. And we have it on good science that heat will only get worse in future.
My recommendation? Make the Hajj virtual. People should be able to stay in their houses (or their local mosque), sit facing Mecca, and perform the Hajj via video link. All the devil stoning and marches can be simulated from where you are. I think Muslim scholars and leaders should consider this.
Offpointng: The Tucano has actually served well. I can attest to this statement cuz I was in the Air Force Special Operations Command and I saw what the Tucano did, I was amazed
VonSmallhausen: Its a good move. First baby steps for army aviation in Nigeria. WIll enable us to take bandit camps unawares in even the most in accessible locations. I would have preferred Mil Mi-17s, but i see there is a political decision in the Nigerian defence circles to go West especially for air power. First expensive super Tucanos, now these which i am sure will wind up more expensive than Mil Mi17s.
But anyway, half bread is better than -----.
Good thinking, in my view. Who knows if Putin will drop some nukes tomorrow and the entire world will decide to blockade him?
Simeonjoe1: True. The Huay was the work horse of US army in the Vietnam War. E too suffer for their hand.
But it also shows reliability and mass production, Nigeria going for this modern retrofit shows its cheaper and maybe we can buy in bulk. The A10 warthog on the other hand might be expensive, even if it's cheap to purchase it might be expensive maintaining operational cost on the long run, there's a reason the US army is retiring it (cost). Instead I'll opt for more turboprop Tucano planes, cheaper, lighter and does the work effectively too.
The Huay with modern avionics isn't bad either might be cheaper to purchase and maintain, got tons of spear parts, can be used for different mission roles, surveillance, light attack, tracking of bandits, extradition, troops transport..like the US army was able to adapt it to the Vietnamese dense jungle, we can also use it in our vast northern landscape.
Imaging a scenario where army can easy go after bandit after attacking a town or kidnapping people in large numbers. A huey armed with a good rocket pod, 12mm machine gun or a gratling will bring hell while some transport troops to be dropped for the round up.
But have the Tucanos we bought served us well? Not much is heard about them. Even the CDS hinted in a recent interview that attack helis do the job better.
Dogalmighty17: What a log of garbage. The Huey that the US used in Vietnam is what our army depends on as cutting edge close air support tech? The huey? This platform that was developed in the early 1950s before Nigeria got independence?
In contested airspace where bandits across the North have access to weapon systems that bring down fast moving fighter jets, a huey that its maximum speed is 127mph is just a flying coffin. Who the hell thought this was a good idea?
The US is about to retire several hundred of its A-10 warthogs. That's about the most capable close air support platform around. Since the US is now willing to sell weapon platforms to Nigeria, they might consider selling some A-10s to us. Even though that's a tall order.
2024 and na Huey wey oyibo don forget about since 1950 na him our army fall hand dey buy so. Shebi dem no see blackhawk buy as dem go market?
Well, cost might have been a factor. Besides, they're not getting only Hueys. I see Cayuse warriors, and they're just starting. Not a bad idea if they Hueys are going to be a small part of the mix.
Melagros: COMRADES are speechless! If I may ask, why this kind of lawlessness or confusion wasn't prevalent when PDP was in power? The level of desperation used to be very low
The case is different now under the watch of apc, everyone who has a link with the authority at the federal level will use the connection to deal mercilessly with the one occupying office at the state level as in the case of Rivers and Kano etc. Why?
APC is a useless party, it lacks leadership skills
fred04: Are you guys really in support of this development??. It's better that power remain in the hand of America than Russia or China, cos recolonization of blacks will come again . Compare working under Chinese owned company to American own, compare the salary, workers warfare etc.
There's no reasoning with these funny characters. If they were around in 1939, they would have cheered on Hitler - out of hatred for America and the West.
Offpointng: You've successfully allow CNN and BBC feed on ur Gullibility. we have over 15 countries fighting Russia using Ukraine and still Ukraine is the one crying the most begging for billions of dollars monthly with everything almost brought to a standstill in Ukraine
I think you mean FEED HIS GULLIBILITY, not feed on his gullibility. Your post makes no sense though.
DeepSight: It was said to be Nike Osinowo back then.
Sebi Atiku said he'd "never met her" and bloggers (the print versions we had then) later speculated she made it up to chase clout. Confusion ti take over.
Believeintruth: The rate unification was a wrong move. Yes it is necessary that we unify the rates, but carrying out a devaluation exercise without making provisions for currency shocks.
It was the right move. No economist can draw a line between rate unification and the devastating forex crisis that occurred. Yes, I agree that they should have read the times and anticipated the fallout. If I were them, I'd've been done with matter of "clearing the 7b backlog owed to foreign companies" BEFORE rate unification and subsidy removal since it was this clearing matter that precipitated the forex crisis.
