Originalsly: If this is your history ... your people should never forget what they have passed through at the hands of the oppressors ... the occupiers ... why is it your people support Israel the oppressors ... the occupiers .... meting out the same treatment and worse to the Palestinians? Because of your history ..... shouldn't your people be in the forefront condemning such actions? .... like the South Africans? Just curious .... I'm confused . Tells you people don't hold opinions based on truth. It's all about pushing some agender. Note that the South Africans who are fighting for the Palestinians are solidly behind Vladimir Putin, who's every day bombing day care centres, supermarkets and hospitals in Ukraine. |

APC should let Aisha breev. What about how an entire army staff, and Nigerians committed HIGH TREASON by insulting and degrading King Charles, our rightful King. The people who engaged in that secession plot are still working around freely. If they can do as they like, then so can Aisha. Tit for Tat. Gbam! |

Foreign Affairs › Re: South Africa’s ANC Loses Majority, Seeks Coalition by JuanDeDios: 1:40pm On Jun 01, 2024 |
God1000: The ANC is suffering the consequences of failing to address the corruption within their party and the unemployment problem in south Africa.
Current statistics indicate unemployment rates rose slightly late last year from 31 percent to 33 percent during the first quarter of 2024 among young individuals (aged 15-34 years)
South Africans have spoken, I believe the election was free and fair Corruption is the main issue. State capture won't go away. They lost it the day they gave their party to Zuma. People understand there's no magic wand to unemployment. Even the problems with Eskom have been traced to corruption. |

Omodua: Yes. Well said.
I hope Dr Alex Otti and some Eastern Leaders will meet Army High Command to let them know the political chicanery inherent in the soldiers killings.
That should be done fast! Otti & Eastern Leaders (OEL): Good morning, Army High Command (AHC). We're here to inform you that the soldiers were murdered by non-Igbos looking to stop Gov Otti from doing good work in Abia AHC: Oh, you've found the killers. Very good. So, who are these people? OEL: Non-Igbos AHC: Ok, but who? OEL: We don't know AHC: Ok. How do you know whether they're Igbos or non-Igbos? OEL: Can't you open your eyes see it? Otti is working and they want to stop stop him. Besides, have you not read the speeches of Mazi Kanu and Mazi Ekpa? They've never advocated violence. All they preach is Mahatma Gandhi AHC: So, you don't really know what you're talking about OEL: We do. Jus open your eyes, and you'll see it. Besides, LOVEALAIGBO said so on NL. AHC: Can you please leave now so I can get on with preparing my fierce response? |

ChiefJusticeFuc: Naturally I would have called on the military to be very tactful in rooting out the perpetrators of this dastardly act but given how these same people openly gloated on the murder of these soldiers and how they have been supporting collective punishment in Gaza , I say fck it!
Let the military go full scorch earth on them.
I will also like to see how they will go same ICC they have been insulting for issuing Israeli war leaders arrest warrants . But two wrongs, as they say, don't make a right. And did anyone really gloat at the murder of those soldiers? |

WannaHowzit: Party of oustet crooks from the ANC. Spells disaster for SA. Crooks the ANC made. I gave up on the ANC the day it made Zuma president. I even asked some South Africans on this forum how that could happen, but of course, I got the usual childish responses about South Africa being better than Nigeria. One day, maybe in 5 years, the other parties will be able to form a coalition to dethrone the ANC. There's consequence for misgovernance. |

I'm really impressed with Zuma's M.K party performance 41% is still a high number. Seems we have to wait for the next election to see a scenario where other parties are able to form a coalition to dethrone the ANC. |

If we don't do something to fix the cost of producing things here, China will continue to cash out for now. |

DeLaRue: The naira should stabilise around 1200 by the 3rd quarter and progressively improve to 1100 by first quarter of 2025 and so on.
The CBN should not be in a hurry to bring it down aggressively only to see it go up again.
Stability around a mid price point is better than going from extreme lows to extreme highs in quick successions. One would have thought this is obvious. The rate at which naira exchanges to dollar is not really important. It's rate STABILITY that matters. There's a reason some Asian countries have artificially kept their currency's value low. Well, the CBN works for politicians, so I guess playing to the public gallery is part of their remit. |

Ashirioluwa: What’s good about the news? Please tell me.
How many Nigerians can get dollars at the official market rate?
Most Nigerians who need dollars for one thing or the others will go to black market, and the black market rate as of this morning is almost $1500.
The western union rate is $1 to 1465 naira as of this morning.
Government officials and politicians can buy at official rate, but the general public will have to use black market to get dollars. That's what I keep telling people. That's why rate unification (floating) was necessary. It's unfortunate that existing problems coalesced to crash the exchange rate. |
