Family / Re: I Sell My Properties Whenever I Go Broke, Is It Spirtual? by Juliearth(f): 6:00am On Sep 24, 2023
KiNg0G:
I am not here for financial aid but help from people who have overcome such problems.

I can't help but think, when I get married with a wife and kids to feed, is this how I am going to continue? How will my family respect me.

This is the 3rd time of me replacing my tv set in the last 2years. Whenever I run out of money, I search for anything valuable to sell in my home, with the mindset that I will replace it. Which I normally do but sometimes it takes time because i know i might sell it again within some weeks. This is getting on me deeply with the number of cartons of phones and receipts from same equipments I no longer have.
My generator is another thing to talk about that my neighbors and landlord are starting to gossip because I can't explain changing of generator to and fro when its always placed outside.

I know I need help but don't know how to go about this.
I am not here for financial assistance as claimed by some peoples in anyway please, some of us seek for ways to stop some certain things when we know we are falling off tracks.

I am on my way to lg office to replace my TV for the third time and the thought of it warrants this post.

Judging by the fact that you are able to replace sold goods, it means you are not completely broke and you have a cash flow system, albeit not steady. This is not spiritual, but you lack financial discipline.

How much do you earn monthly? What percentage do you put aside for recurrent and capital (future projects) expenditure? You don't need to answer these here. Just do the math and figure that out.

When you are "rich", you need two categories of savings. One is for your daily bread and the other for future projects. The latter should be fixed and untouched. You should have a scale or preference please. That entails creating a list of needs and numbering them based on your priority. That would help you spend in perspective.

Deep down, you know those expenses you incure
on a regular that arent necessary. Please do away with them.

Try to have a contingency funds you can fall back to when you find yourself being broke. Depending on your strength, you can put 1k daily in savings box at home.

All the best!

As much as a 250 percent increment seems fair, can the government sustain it? Assuming this increment is implemented, what would be the fate of a private worker?

Yesterday, I finally had enough. She texted me while I was in church that she's coming I said okay, waited for her, then told her if I didn't see her, were ending this relationship. It's been more than a month since we last saw. How can you claim you love someone and for more than a month you didn't see them and you are not bothered. She works Monday to Saturday though. My joy is I never crossed her because most ladies use that to emotionally blackmail guys. She has only visited me once and that was on my birthday. The relationship was barely two months. She's my first love at 31. I will miss her a little but I have moved on already. So I'm back to "God when?" Lol.

Maybe you should put yourself in her shoes. It's possible that work is taking its toll on her.

My blood is burning now as I write. My wife has now completely changed for bad, a few days after our second child.

An erstwhile submissive woman that i thought i had tamed for life has now become a thorn in the flesh to me. I just parted with over 300k unplanned fund for her C.S. I thought she'd be more respectful to me now but no,she has changed completely!

She dares me to do my worst, she cries over small issues that i wonder if it's witchcraft.Or she thinks I can't quit cos she's got two boys for me? The mind boggles. Am just mad and gobsmacked at the same time as all my Red pill O.T have failed and am even considering divorce right now.

I'm at a bar drinking my sorry ass away, brainstorming the best option for me. What could be outta place?

I need candid advice,folks.

Ever heard of post-partum depression? Clearly, she wasn't like this before bearing a child, shouldn't that be an indication that it is just a phase. Your wife needs more tender loving care now morethan ever...

A certain banker is presently cooling off in one of the prison cells in Minna. He allegedly went to drink his sorry ass away in a bar, had more bottles than he can handle and committed manslaughter afterwards.

When you looked at my face, I was gripped with a fever, seeing the light in your eyes....

Wish we could go back to that era of unadulterated Gospel. It irks my heart that some international Gospel artistes have been associated with demonology.

How about a lady who is a wife material and has all the qualities you want but is not educated and doesn't speak good English but has refused to get educated and seees it as a waste of time due to her business which brings a lot of cash
Can you cope ?

As much as western education is key, we must not underplay the fact the informal education is sufficient. If your woman can sustain a business.
, that shows that she is not a dullard. The only problem I see here is communication. I think you should focus on helping her attain fluency in English. That could take a while, but it is totally attainable. Get her a tutor, advise her television engagement to programes aired in English and a change of environment would also help.

Hey folks, I'm currently stuck in a job decision-making dilemma, kindly advise me.
I applied and got a job with Alphamed Supply ltd in Abuja, however, they are offering me 80k for a start with no benefits, they are promising an upward review with other benefits when i get confirmed after a 6month probation.
But with the current hike in transport fares, and also the distance from my house to the job location, I'd be spending more than 50% of the 80k on transport and lunch alone every month. I'm afraid it would be hard for me survive with this pay for a whole 6months. I'm also not putting trust in them to promote me after 6months because I've worked for companies in the past who promised same but it was all lies.
So I was thinking it would be better off for me to continue with my personal hustle that pays me similar amount (or slightly higher) monthly with ease and convenience, but I'm also scared that i may be throwing away a good opportunity peradventure this company turns out to be a good company that would reward in the long run.
What do you advise? Can anyone attest if this company is a good company to work for?
I'll be waiting for your urgent replies.

Half of your income will be invested in transportation and feeding and you would be left with 40k. If you decline this offer, is there any hope of you making 40k monthly? Take the darn job!

I went for a teaching interview yesterday, they asked us to prepare a lesson plan and also a lesson note on any topic of our area of specialization.

I haven't even taught before and I have no experience as a teacher, but I made some researches and studied extensively on a particular area of my niche and wrote well.
There wasn't really any micro teaching but I was asked to write on a board, I wrote the subject, the topic and the date, the principal said it's OK.

She now asked challenges affecting schools, how I can help a school grow revenue, my success story in my previous teaching experience and lastly salary.
I sha answered them but when they discussed the issue of salary I told them I am after 30k since it's a growing school, they now told me my subject area isn't vacant if I can teach economics, computer and geography, I obliged.

They said they'll get back to me but she refused scoring me till I left the scene cos my eyes were fixed on those score results on her desk.
So I don't know if I made it in the interview.
How do I know if I was successful?
I Just pray I get the job to at least start something with cos it's not funny sitting jobless at home

Judging by the subjects they want you to teach, I can say that they are keen on cutting cost. You may be selected since you obliged on being able to teach these subjects. I just hope they don't overwork you and underpay you. You should have asked further if you would teach each of these subjects at all levels ( jss1 to ss3) or just a level. Either way, I wish you the best!

The probability that these items may not be available is the reason why he needs to pick a topic that would not require a laboratory set up.

Their non availability should not deter him from delivering his lessons as though these items have been provided. Remember that micro teaching is nothing but a miniature classroom simulation. Its not a real classroom setup, so the resources used can also be unreal. But then again, he can go ahead and play safe with a topic that requires no physical resources. The disadvantage of this method is that he would have no edge over the others.

He won't have time for all of these.

Like you said, Micro teaching is not about showing your knowledge of the subject per se. He won't have time to set up everything stated here. If he is a chemistry teacher, he has to be able to teach a non chemist a topic in such a way that he or she will understand it.

I do not expect the school to avail him these items. Its left for op to creatively simulate a standard class for his lessons, creating an assumption that these items are there. Peradventure, the school avails him these items, I do not expect him to use up to a minute to set up. What this approach would showcase is his versatility as a teacher, his ability to carry his students along and ability to adopt an activity-based teaching approach, which is the paradigm that most schools adopt or are looking to adopt in teaching.

I chose Atomic Structure, Chemical reactions and maybe if there's time, Acid base and salt

You need to understand that the aim of micro teaching for an interview is not for you to prove your knowledge of a subject matter solely, but to show your proficiency in teaching. I would advise that you choose just one of these topics and perfect the art of teaching it. You should possibly work out some instructional materials for your students. For instance if your take is on acid, base and salt, you should consider making it a practical class. Set up your class with samples of acid base and salt and of course your litmus paper. Briefly discuss what acids and base are by their reaction on a litmus paper, then go ahead and ask your students to test the specimens before them with a litmus paper. Let them tell you their observation and conclusion based on the change on the litmus paper.... you should basically make your class interactive and practical- based.

Do not forget to clearly state your objectives before the actual teaching begins. For instance: At the end of class today, I expect you to know the properties of acids, base and salt and their reaction on a litmus paper.

Note that there is a paradigm shift in teaching today. You don't tell your students for them to know. You show them what you want to tell them for them to know. I hope this helps.

My previous post about a big school that called me for an Interview, Well I actually went there, did my test and when I was asked to come in for Micro Teaching where I was faced with Staff of the school and maybe the principal, I flopped and panicked heavily.

The fear was well written all over my face and I was just saying rubbish despite choosing to teach "Matter" as my topic. Immediately I came in and they asked for my name and few other questions before the micro teaching, my voice was already shaking as if I have never taught before in my life(they noticed and told me to calm down).

Although I am an introvert, I hardly face audience talk more of strangers and the quest to ensure that I performed, those things enveloped/swallowed me completely. I have never taught in such a big school before, I think my qualification was what made them approach me in the first place.

One of the staff kept throwing questions at me, I mean confusing questions just to know my depth of knowledge in the particular topic, and guess what? I flopped totally and became disorganized. But luckily, there was a man among the panel who gave me the option of coming back and prove myself that I am a qualified teacher as stated in my CV or I should take another topic I'm more comfortable with. So, I opted to leave and come back so I can regain my confidence.

Now, I have been given enough time to go and make research and convince them on Monday.
How do I conquer that fear and what are the things they look so I can prepare hard.
Thank you.

What topic would you like to teach? If it's something I can demystify, I would break it down for you here using an activity-base approach.
