jaymoney1: You are absolutely right! A lot of married men end up with regrets because they didn’t fully understand what they were getting into. Sometimes, separation is a wiser and more peaceful option than going through a full divorce. I really like that perspective, it makes a lot of sense. There’s definitely a lesson there for all of us to learn before making big commitments The separation course seems valid as that would afford both parties the avenue to know themselves all over again and agree if their "love" is worth saving...However, if they do not address the issues pivotal to their constant fallout, the result would continue being the same. |

Peakdesign23: Married men's greatest r£gr£t about marriage: you could learn from this too. Separation is better than divorce, I love that. Do not marry a partner only because you love that person. Look out for core values alignment, synergy, compatibility.... and then love. If you love your partner but (s)he is lacking in these points earlier mentioned, then thread with caution so you don't rush in and out of an institution that us supposed to be for life. |

Besides, from the look of that well, the people will never use it for drinking water.
As for the guy, I have nothing much to say. At least, he didn't take alcohol. It's not about draining the well of its water. The locals may see it as a taboo to fetch water from a well that took a life. People use water far worst than this to cook. I won't judge the deceased. People are going through a lot. He possibly needed a break from the Wilding thought in his head. |

franchasng: Na reserved good guys de end up with worst girls most times and mostly because of some reasons:
1.) Good attract bad, law of nature
2.) Reserved good guys like going for the hottest chick in town so they won't cheat so they believe and the hottest chicks in town are usually money spenders and wasters lolz
3.) Reserved guys are not usually attracted to reserved girls, they envy vibrant cute girls who are usually liabilities lolz
4.) Lastly, reserved guys who don't womanize can't uncover or decode the coded life of bad girls hence they end up with pretty bad girls that packaged themselves as good girls Your school of thought is valid, judging by my experience, but people in this case always know when their partners lack financial discipline and/or literacy. |

Arostar2023: What is dubious about the lady's character as portrayed in the story? Not everyone can manage money, that's a fact. Your friend should have studied his would-be wife before giving her a huge sum of money to invest. Infact, not everyone can run a business. Some will be more successful working as a secretary or a salesman than a trader. My grouse is not with his initial deposit to the lady. How such a disciplined and upright man couldn't figure out his would-be- wife is dubious is a red flag that such an upright and emotionally intelligent man could not decipher. One thing I know for sure is that the kind of men op described his friend to be in this cock and bull story do not settle for mediocre and common women. They date women who share in the same or similar value system that they belong to. |

I find this story of yours hard to believe. If your friend is as disciplined as you portray, then there's no way he would stay in a relationship with a lady with such dubious character. He would have seen through her and done the needful. |

yinkus6750: It's now obvious this statistics has no sense. Price of foreign rice has drastically dropped within the past few weeks. Currently sold at 58-60,000 in Ogun State. The rate was even a slight increase which is attributed to Sallah celebration. I agree with you. As at last week, a bag of foreign rice retails for 75,000 naira here in Minna. |

There are real women out there who are working hard to carve a niche for themselves, but the false narrative being championed by yours likes won't give these women the visibility and the credit that they need because it is fueled by defeated men or men with mummy issues or men with narcissistic tendencies or men who are just ignorant enough to join the slander campaign to prove a point. There are good and bad people and it is not gender specific. We have as many male jigolos as we do hookup girls... The good thing is that the signs are always there. In my opinion, it means both parties have an understanding of their strengths and weakness and one person's weakness is complimented by the other's strength. For instance, a man who hates eating out partnering with a woman who loves cooking, a woman who hates laundry partnering with a man who loves laundry... |

Don't settle for a single mom
According to what one poster said look out Nigeria try Ghana or Kenya 400k as income is something bro
Nigerian girls don't love they're just after the money
I know what my sister did to her husband You are certain all Nigerian women are thirsty for money because you have carried out an extensive research and the indices are pointing to that hypothesis, right? It is men like you and comments like this that makes people like op confused about Nigerian women. Don't be a pun in the devil's campaign against marriage and family. |

May Allah grant me good health and provide for me and also spare our life beyond next year. You should! Livestock and foodstuffs haulage from the North to the South is highly profitable. |
Food › Re: I Got These 3 Rams For 500k by Juliearth(f): 5:12am On Jun 06, 2025 |
Abbeytoy: Last year I bought two rams for 300k each. I do not really like it, but I had to because of the overpriced goods during the Ileya festival.
But this year is very different. I remember my stepmother, who deals in selling goats, and I asked her if she could assist me in buying Ram this year, though my mom is against it, but I just don't know why my heart just picked her.
I ask her to send me a sample of RAM and the price. Unfortunately, she's in the north to buy her goods, so she sends different samples and prices, but because my mom is reluctant to let me deal with her, I send her 500k to buy me RAM, and I have it in mind to buy another one here if I am not comfortable with it.
Yesterday, she called me to say that she's around and I should come pick up my Rams. Lo and behold, this is what she bought for me at 500k.
They're even bigger than the one I bought for 300k last year. 3 Rams for 500k looks very unreal, but this is my reality.
I give one to my dad, my mom, and I pick one.
I am so happy at the moment and happy because I do not listen to women's sentiments of rivalry. 🤣😂🤣 That is a good deal. The North is the bedrock of cheap foodstuffs generally. Sometimes when I send foodstuffs to my contacts in Lagos and PH, they call to ask if I stole these items. That leaves me thinking about how expensive foodstuffs are over there. Barka da sallah! |

Travel › Re: Please Help! . I Have A Serious Phobia For Traveling. (Graphic Photos) by Juliearth(f): 6:52pm On Jun 04, 2025 |
Exgee: Hi guys, I don't know what's wrong with me. Growing up, my best moment was whenever I was traveling(By road). I used to enjoy this.
But since I clocked 25, I no longer find it pleasurable traveling, I'm always scared of traveling. I fear that I may be involved in an accident that could maim or kill me. I have not been able to share this with anyone cos I don't know how to. Some years ago, my friend and I had a terrible ghastly accident that almost costed us our dear lives. We were returning back from the village in the early(6am) hours of the morning and before we would exit the village, the brakes of our vehicle(Lexus 350) failed and the speed of the car tripled. I saw death, I came in direct contact with death, but God saved me. My friend who was driving was quickly rushed to the hospital where he spent a week but I was lucky to not be much affected. I only had a cut on my lips and head. The vehicle somersaulted countless times. Farmers who were on their way to the farm that morning and heard the sound of the car somersaulting refused coming to help us. They said they didn't want to see Dead bodies at that early time of the morning, they didn't know we survived.
Sometimes again, I had another accident. I was about running mad when I eventually managed to pull out of the car, I had use my head to hit everywhere. These two accidents involving two different cars were all sold as scraps cos the damage were irreparable. And if they were to be fixed, the money would be more than imagine.
Again, my father died from a motorbike (Vespa) accident many years ago while I was just 7years. He didn't die on the spot, he even brought himself back home that night unaided. No external injuries but he had internal bleeding which wasn't detected in time, at 4am, mum took him to the hospital as pains in his chest became intense and at 7am, he gave up the ghost. The psychological impact of all these still affect me, I guess.
How do I overcome this please? Its so bad that whenever a loved one is traveling, I will be saying in my mind that the person might die on the road and that we may never see again. God pls help me!
God has saved me countless times and if I begin to write here, we may not go to bed tonight. To God alone be all the Glory! Most prospective travellers suffer from these thoughts because our roads are a death trap, so your anxiety is not far-fetched. However, you can overcome it one baby step at a time. A child does not go from being birthed to walking. It's a process that must be systemically followed. Thus try embarking on shorter trips. This overtime helps you overcome the fear of travelling. You may also breakdown a long distance trip into shorter trip of a couple of days. It also seems you've created a pattern of road mishap that seems to be your family's thing thus, a vision board for the d*vil. You need to jettison this thought. Your father's demise via bike accident and the two accidents you suffered are disparate and orthogonal so don't try to link them. A man becomes as he thinketh. |
