My car (primera PIi manual) movement is extremely sluggish even on gear one that I have to rev to over 4000 rpm to move the car from rest .Any clue to what mite be responsible will be welcome.thanx

I can't check the history of the nissan car ,I am always getting 'vin is invalid' error message anytime I try to decode online and the vin no is correct

Siena: I think you're confusing the thermostat, with the thermo time switch. With the thermostat, there's nothing to connect. It's purely mechanical, the thermo time switch controls the fan, so I can't see what's so difficult for your "mechanic" to revert to factory spec.

His attitude alone should tell you you're paying money to the wrong sort of person. Get your car to a Nissan dealer, who at least knows one end of a spanner from the other. I have no idea whom to recommend, as I'm not resident in Nigeria.

So what you are saying in plain language is that,if the thermostat is fixed correctly the radiator fan will go back to default.

I bought my primera P11 model with the thermostat removed and the engine is consuming fuel like hell.
All my effort to get mechanic to replace does nt yield fruit( becos the mechanic has to readjust the radiator fan to factory defaults after reconnecting the thermostat) my mechanics are not skilled to perform that.
Please can you recommend a good mechanic that can do that for me.My location is Lagos ,email is jummy4life2020

Please i need ur candid advice concerning my car(nissan primera p11 wagon) that i just bought .
I notice that the radiator fan is always on anytime the car is started and operational and the car temperature does not exceed 30 centigrade which i feel is not good for the optimum operation of the car.
Also i also observe that it consumes more fuel for 1.8 engine manual transmission for that matter
so how do i resolver this issue before it affect the engine
