Happy Easter Fam! Please a quick question. Which is better with funds available. Going through this Care worker route or Applying for Msc?
It really depends on you for the sole purpose of going for the master.Going for MSc first will land you a tier 4 category visa which is for student and you will need to graduate and get job that is under the shortage occupation list which HCW is among before your visa can be ungraded to skilled worker route (tier 2 ) and staying with tier 2 for 5 years will earn the highly price ILR visa which is equivalent of Green card or PR .however let me sincere with ourselves not everyone can cope with the responsibility and demand that come the Care work cos the job is demeaning ( glorified house servant angry ) it already a tier 2 visa so it is a faster route of clinching ILR visa if one can weather the storm and demands that come it instead of going tru MSC first

Hi everyone,
We've been following this thread and it really has been helpful.

Please we need clarity on these positions. Is there a difference between the senior carer and the healthcare assistant positions based on their visa duration?

Someone said that as a healthcare assistant, we'll get just one year visa which we'll have to apply for extension from within UK while the senior carer visa is for 5 years....

Please how true, should we really for any reason target the senior carer positions and not the healthcare assistants?

***My brother has no background in nursing but has completed the mandatory care Certificate training and is assisting at a hospital.
Senior carer and health care assistant job are among the list of currently published shortage occupation just like you have doctors are nurses jobs etc that are in high demand in uk .
And for any occupation that happens to be listed in the shortage occupation list ,the privilege is there for the employet to sponsor skilled worker abroad with minimum and maximum contract of 3 years and 5 years respectively which can lead to ILR at end of the contract .So based on visa category for skilled workers ,duration of years of contract are all the same .
However for nigerian ,HCW is virtually a non existence field and very few experience professional available so it will practically impossible to get a senior carer (except registered nurses) role cos it is higher role in the HCW field and you need some years of experience and certification to land such role,so it better to stick with the HCW beginner role wen applying if you don't have the true industry based experience..

Good day everyone, my husband got a care job thats is willing to sponsor him . We are planning to go together . However , I have two kids from a previous marriage (their father is late). Does he need to under go an adoption process to be able to add my kids as dependants?
Recertify your marriage by applying for a federal marriage certificate and you can use the opportunity to do proper legal documentation for the children that will be recognized in any application.
You can do the application here https://ecitibiz.interior.gov.ng/marriage/overview

There is nothing of such.
Can we say every refusal decision must come with a mail from UkVi even before u collect the passport and if there is no mail from UkVi bearing any refusal but to only collect your passport only means your visa has been approved

A friend that just got a job in UK want to start applying for his family application but realize that his evidence for marriage is only a church wedding certificate no court wedding certificate.
Can a church certificate suffice for marriage certificate that will be recognized by UK embassy ? And if no ,how can he get a document proving that his marriage is legally binding and has been living which his spouse for at least more than 2 years ( embassy requirement).
According to him, some local government he tried to seek for help told him it not possible to produce a backdated wedding certificate while some says it possible, so he now being afraid of not falling victim to local government scammers which can even earn him a ban in uk embassy if the certificate is later discovered not to be genuine.

The thread mentions Skilled worker and Health care worker. I don't know what's wrong if someone can assist another person with info Skilled worker visa. Let's be fair please...
Let your answer align to the particular visa Skilled category you are referring so as not to cause confusing the more.

Good day house. Special greetings to Op as well. I came across this thread yesterday and followed ALL 30 pages but no one asked or answered the questions I have in mind. Please help
1. The UK visa fee was clearly stated as 610gbp for 3 years. My question is how much is each dependant to pay Spouse /children.

2. The IOM testing centre is it ONLY in Lagos.

PLEASE informed answers are very much appreciated.

Thanks
Seems u are checking the visa application of wrong category, under health and care ,visa application is only £232 for 3 year or less and £464 for more than 3 years visa .

Thank you for your advice. But is the carer route also feasible too? She’s really concentrating on the nursing route & have enrolled with learning centers & also help online. She just wants to leave & do something and I want to support her in whatsoever line. I hope you understand.
Sure is a feasible option she is well over qualified for carer job self

Good Day Guys,Please I need more clarifications here. My wife is a certified Registered Nurse here in Nigeria. We’re still a young family with a 1year old son. She really wants us to relocate especially as everyone has been advising her about it and I actually want that also. She has booked her date for her IELTS exam which would be coming up next month by God’s Grace, someone also advice that she can apply for a job as a carer in a nursing home or something similar as they don’t require the English test but your qualifications. I like the idea because she’s really overwhelmed by the IELTS exam & really wants to travel. My question now is, Is it possible she can get a carer job from Nigeria? Can you kindly recommend agencies we can apply to for help?
Thank you. I’ll be in the comment sections.
Let her follow the nursing route by concentrating on the ielts and other exams ,she will earn more and get more job satisfaction than following the career route .Carer are for those that are not the health line and just starting to build career out of it
