Ancestors in the house ,how do I throw this TV license people off my radar .Not even up to 2 weeks I barely settle in my new apartment that that i got their letter to my apartment ( addressed to the occupier, not to my name directly sha ) that I should prepare to pay for my TV license. I actually got a TV which I used to keep my kids busy till they get they school admission and I I plan to do away with it after my broadband has been installed. Kindly show me steps to deal with this people with wisdom without breaking the law cos for now i don't have any TV license on my budget list for now ,already too many direct debit on my account this months o, I am a still a jjc

Hello everyone, I have some enquiries to make.

I'm to apply for UK work visa with sponsorship (I have CoS), but my wife and kid's passport is taking time and from the application I have to put wife's passport number on mine so that she and the kid can apply as dependants.

I want to ask what is the possibility applying for mine alone and travelling (because I have to resume by 1st November) and they come and join me later.

On the application if I select that wife is not travelling with me, it will remove the option of including her passport number, but I fear this may affect her application later.

Anyone with similar experience?

You are actually choosing the wrong option which is why the portal is forcing to include your wife passport number .
Since they are not currently travelling with you then the options is No to the question and for this no need for her passport number on your application.

I want to do Airbnb for 10 days while searching for houses, that's why I'm asking how realistic it is to get a house in a week.

Not possible as I have been on this same house hunting in Manchester for more than 2 months .

Sure, you can still use it as my own passport expires on February 2023 but I still used it to get my visa last month .
UKVI can still put visa on your passport as long as it has not expired by the time of application as compared to some other Europeans countries that your validity shouldn't exceed 6 months.
So you can go ahead and apply even with your 1 week old marriage certificate as well you are good to go.

When main applicant (Nurse) applied and was given Visa, she didnt tick yes so the kids details were not captured when she applied,she only filled details of spouse and parent. I hope this will not negatively affect our applications as dependants moreso that i am ticking YES and also filling the details of the kids? Thanks for your advise.

Dont get confused ,So far the Main applicant has already indicated that he/she is not coming along to Uk with her dependent yet when filling her application, the system will not ask for children yet to be added to her application ybut will only ask for her spouse and parents details for now .
It wen you( spouse) is filling your dependent application that you will connect everyone up as single family . By ticking YES, you are on the right track.

Tick Yes ,unless you want to create your children separate maintenance fee for thier applications

It depends on the type of job .if it a professional job that is highly demanded in uk ,I will advice you stay with it for a year or 2 to gather the relevant experience that you can latter use as leverage to move to UK as skilled worker later on .
You are better off moving to UK as skilled worker rather than msc.
Ask people that are doing msc in UK what they are passing tru if it truly worth leaving behind good job prospect and washing toilet in uk .

I have a friend who got her visa within 9 days of Biometrics with Standard Visa Application. I got mine within 12 days as well (last year). Just a tip for everyone who wants to apply for theirs soon. These are the documents I submitted and advised her to submit:

- IELTS (Test certificate not online score)
- Police Certificate (no need for fingerprint)
- TB certificate
- Passport data page
- CoS
- Visa Application Form.
- Statement of Account for PoF (if you're required to)

NOTE: This is for Health and Care visa main applicant. Feel free to follow suit or not, the choice is yours. Good luck to everyone.

When proving partner’s relationships, nothing is cast in stone ,infact UkVi no even send marriage like that ,what you just need to prove is evidence of living together as partner and not necessarily as a married couple self .
So in summary,nothing is compulsory, jst prove your own case as your own peculiar circumstances dictate and be open and truthfull about it .

Why can't you wait to collect your visa first before booking for flight as flight is still expensive now cos of summer rush . if you are so concerned about cutting flight cost ,you need to chill till ending of September/ October
