For those that have gotten their ILR through skilled worker route ,is it a must for your employer must have paid up to the minimum annual going rate at the end of a year for their employee eg for some of my folks that are carer ,the minimum annual wage set by the the home office should be 20,480pounds per year but what about if their wages dont meet up tp that target due to the fault of their employer not getting jobs enough to spread around to meet up with their 40 hours per week.Hope thiis kind of issue wont create problem for the employee visa conditons |

Schoolhike: Hi, here my is story, when I came in last year, I started applying for as many as data analyst role to to my skills set, not any work experience. I stopped applying when my wife failed one of her courses which makes me look in the way of searching for care jobs that could sponsor visa because it was stated that she might not be eligible cos of the failure, but luckily for us she was given the opportunity to resit for assessment due to child birth that made her failed the course at first attempt.
I enrolled into masterschool and I can tell i am now having lots of confidence compared to when I first came in. They are offering lots of support and most of our tutors in masterschool class session are people working in top IT companies.
I am just less than 2 months in to the program and I am always very hopeful that I will be able to secure job before or after the end of the course.
I actually conducted my research about masterschool by checking in some of their alumni and I was made known by someone that it really worth it.
After all, it is until you secure a job or 25k and above that they can start taking their payment and also, it is 10% of your monthly payment which makes it flexible enough till you complete the full payment of 11k£
NB: You ain’t paying any dime yet even if the your pay is less than 25k£ annually.
I was also made know that the master school interview simulation process is more rigorous that then actual real life interviews which will make it to scale through interview stages.
It’s has really been helpful.
Projects upon projects with guidance from lots of top guys in data analytics, data engineering, data science.
You will be supported till you land your first job even after the completion of the program.
Masterschool is a big company with worth of over a hundred million dollars. can i PM u ? |

Amarathripple0: Why not just volunteer? I honestly do not think you should pay these guys your hard earned money for that UK experience when you can get the same "UK experience" by volunteering and the recruiters won't even know it's a voluntary role. I only spent 10 hours a week working on their projects and it didn't affect my studies nor my regular job and it was fully remote. Anyway, that's what I did and it helped me. Hmmm ,you actually made a good point . Though I have done some digging on searching for volunteering positions on data analyst role on indeed but couldnt get anything tangible and I start feeling it more like a network thing that I might need to sacrifice some money to get myself launched into ,might be wrong though .As a jjc in UK with a very tight budget with no money to waste I will really appreciate iif I can get someone to point me to the right direction on getting something similar to this without paying anyone for training again |

dustydee: I recently saw High Impact academy. I have not tried them but you can have a look. There's also CYI consulting and other bootcamps based in Nigeria. I doubt any of them will give you all that you have rquested but should be a good starting point. I went through CYI and got decent training but struggled with the job search aspect as I did not have a "real life" project I could speak to convincingly during my interview. In the end, you have a very big part to play and the key is being able to speak the language and ability to relate the skills to your experience. Getting the real life work experience and the job market networking through your training bootcamp is actualling main koko of what we are really paying for not those theoretically class o that one can easily get for free on youtubes, cousera etc ( i actually have up to 2 coursera certification on data analysis done free of charge ) .I have already done my research on the job market a realize that for UK JJC like some of us that is newly trying to oneself into tech in UK , you need to get the UK work experience before anyone can consider you for the dream job ,the competition is very stiff .So any training outfit that cannot guarantee internship work experience of up to 6 month for their candidate at least is waste of time and resource . |

Can anyone recommend a good and affordable data analysis bootcamp that provide the much needed training as well as internship job experience and ready to give the required support till you secure your dream job and also have strong network in the job market I have been checking some of them online ( 1.Masterschool-should be the best with juicy offer of paying tuition only when you land a job but too expensive @ £11000, 2. Careerera- cheap but bad online review can't afford to waste time and money o ,others :AIcore ,pitmann etc ) Abeg I need recommendation from our fellow naija that must passed through this same process . |

But they still have to reach out to the school as opposed to just waiting because some of these universities are not proactive and are unceremoniously slow; case in point my uni. So OP should still reach out regardless. I understand the need to add extra time on the Visa, however, having a PSW visa increases your chances of getting a better job which you can then use to transition to a Tier 2 visa even faster. Waiting until March for the visa is counter productive in my opinion as you might lose out on good employment because of this. However, to each their own. |

boneruns: Dear Elders here,
Please I need your advice.
I recently came into the UK on postgraduate student visa. Last week I updated my LinkedIn profile to show my current location in the UK. I have received about 5 job opportunities from recruiters on LinkedIn. Same last week I told two of the recruiters that I'm a postgraduate student on tier 4 visa and I'm only permitted to work 20 hours per week on term time. But they said they needed someone who will do full-time. One even told me I should respond if I'm willing to do full-time but I'm yet to respond. I don't want to default on the visa terms.
Please I need your advice and input. You can't default on visa terms but it easy to negotiate with your employer on work terms that will suit you. |

Please I need advice about my child high school allocation in Salford . We just got a letter from the council that there is no space in all the schools we applied for except we if can consider another nearby high school that is ready to accept her. On checking the ofsted rating of the school I discovered that it rated " need improvement" and I am not comfortable at all about some not too good review I was getting about the school being a 90% all white school and they are notorious for bullying kids of other minority race. I am at delimmna here whether to accept the school or not and the condition I am given if I am not accepting the school that I will need to give a convincing reason why I am not accepting it and I will need to tell them the provision I will take to educate my child till I get another school as the waiting list will be up to 31st of December for other schools. Abeg advice me o. |
