What if you travel back to Nigeria and came back to the UK after few weeks which entry date will be used to calculate the 12months?
Your first entry into Uk with your valid resident permit will be the day when your 12 months start counting .

Good day house, I just need encouragement from you all. I entered UK early this month and I've been job hunting, mehn it hasn't been easy at all. I apply not less that 20 jobs daily and I keep getting the unfortunately mail. I live around Manchester. Just want my senior men to encourage me cos sometimes when I see the mail, it kills my moral but regardless I'll keep applying, hoping this phase will pass soon.
Everybody passed through that phase ,infact it took me 2 months of getting to UK before i can get something reasonable to do and from that time till now ,it has been a roller coaster situation for all my job applications .
You need to know that phase will soon pass and what need mostly now is getting information from your fellow naija and those information are golden and they transcend all this online jobs portal like indeed etc . This is the time to put more effort into socialising and engage more with fellow naija around you maybe tru place of worship etc they will give you sure u lead ,leave indeed alone for now , and ride on the tips and clues that u will give u for jobs .

Should I declare driving fines in PSW application?

Because they asked about driving offences and penalties
Do you have any choice as they will still found out later if you dont declare

It's very obvious from the response that those on 2/3 years work visa won't be able to apply for their dependants at renewal because they said only 25% of dependants are working.
I doubt it because dependant that have already spent 2/3 years are on a dependant skilled visa are also on a pathway to ILR just like main applicant. And Ilr is treated independently that is main applicant doesn't affect dependant and vice versa
Where a new immigration rule can into effect is when an applicant or dependant is changing to another visa route after the new rule is already on .
Even as a student visa dependant, by default they are already on 10 years route to ILR ,and if this pathway can be maintained for that 10 years I don't think any new government law can touch them from getting their ILR.
The only fear is those on student visa that are yet to get their COS after spring and if its a carer COS it possible their dependant can be rejected .

I don't think the 3 years counts towards ILR 5 years route with another employer
All years spents on skilled visa for a particular applicant and even with that applicant changing employers or occupation , so far it comes with tier 2 sponsorship it will still count towards 5 years ilr and will not reset

With all stringent student visa rule for uk ( no dependant to foot your bills , getting skilled worker sponsorship not feasible etc) and hike in school fees and IHS .i am wondering do we still have people coming in as student for the January admission?

💯

Exactly...it will force higher wages for jobs outside healthcare
i dont think so ,the aim is to target the British for job first as it will be cheaper to employ them relatively to sponsoring immigrant for similar roles

Please forgive me if this has been treated before, I missed it and I’ve checked NL travel section but haven’t seen much of it.

Please I’ll like to get a credit card, I’m eligible for capital one credit card and would like to know if it’s a good credit card. Additionally please can anyone make recommendations on good credit card to have.

I am a year in the UK, thank you.
Try amex (american express ) as I have both amex and capital one but it cheaper for me to borrow credit on amex than capital one and over time , my credit limit on amex has grown while the other one remains the same.
You can use this link to join the amex family :

People can even be doing care and still keeping active in other professions while chasing ILR...

A friend is three years into support but still writing his CFA... ILR would soon come, CFA would be ready by then too.

He go come become biggest man... ILR and CFA. Sodiki.
Check your story well o as it just last year Feb this care visa was launched o not even up to 2 years yet .

Hello everyone, please I need your advise as this is my first time moving into an apartment that's not bills included.

Is EDF a good and affordable energy supplier?

Which is better... EDF or Octopus or OVo?

Pay as you go meter or postpaid meter?

Thank you.
Try octopus smart meter ,they have one of the best cheapest tarrif right now, very transparent and with alot of programs you can enter for you to be earning some rewards eg saving sessions (get paid to when you use less energy ,spin the wheel of fortune etc . And their energy app make it easy for you to monitor the trend in your daily ,hourly even 30 min energy consumption and make it easy to spot any energy intensive consuming appliance you may have in the house .
You can join the octopus family by signing up here (https://share.octopus.energy/ice-light-81 ) and both of us will share 100 pounds

Yes, but that’s a bad idea. Don’t do it. You can go to school on a sponsored work visa you don’t necessarily need to change.
That will not be a bad idea o for carer that have their sponsored license has been revoked and the carer has only 60 days to get another sponsor or else ...and also what about carer that enter Uk and started getting health issue with the rigour that come with domicillairy care ,no be to go back to school find nursing course do ?

Nelsmannnnnnnnn:
Good morning great people,

I have been having some kind of dilemma with regards to this T2 visa sponsorship. Here is my story below and I seriously need one or two people's opinion:

I'm a student to round up in few months time. My wife has been working with the NHS through a bank as a Medical Secretary Support for the past eight months. She has asked her employer if they can give sponsorship and they said they don't give for non-clerical role. This made us start weighing up our options to delve into clerical roles such as healthcare support worker. An opportunity came out from the same employer for a healthcare support worker training program which she applied, did interview and was chosen.

Just recently, I decided to pretend to be a worker with this agency by calling them to ask if they can give visa sponsorship for healthcare worker program at the end of the training, they said no. I was perplexed.

Now, where my wife currently works as a medical secretary, she earns 12GBP per hour and she works regular office hour Monday to Friday. On the other hand, the healthcare worker trainee program she will be earning a sad 10.42GBP and 12 hours shift bases.

Will seeking a permanent job with the NHS for a Medical secretary role give us some chances of being sponsored or we should go ahead with the Trainee program eventhough they still won't sponsor but after the program look for a permant position with any NHS trust?

As simple as I wrote this, believe me it is really difficult to think of what to do cos our student visa expires in few months from now.
Stick with the HCA role in NHS as that same experience can still open door for another sponsorship role in othe trust .Meanwhile you will need to buy more time to achieve this ,so aim to get your PSW

Guess you wanted to reply me. I haven't found any. I don't even know where to start or where to focus on. Zero knowledge about London and all it entails. So I need someone to advise on affordable locations not too far from work however E1 out totally of consider as accommodation is too pricey there.
Is not compulsory u must get accommodation in London na ,I have friends that reside in the midlands and work in London . Uk matter needs good strategy o if u want to be working and having something tangible to keep for yourself at the end of the month.

For me, I changed my Visa from one employer to another and didn't use my passport nor did i do biometrics. My brp was all I used and I used the biometrics app downloaded from playstore for my biometrics.
Your case is change of employer still within the same visa category totally different from the guy in question want to achieve .what he want to do is visa category change and he will definitely need a passport

I kind of notice that IT field in cloud and devops dont get much patronage from our fellow naija as compared to other IT field . seems all nigerians IT don port finish to more sexier -sounding areas of IT such as data science, ML, AI , BA ,SM etc grin
