Note: the only thing I can boast of now is an Android phone and account balance is -0.000.

You're ashamed of same system that gave Zamfara to the PDP?
I'm neither APC nor PDP. And the fact that Zamfara state was given to PDP does not mean Imo State should be given to APC in such an unmerited way. Our judiciary system needs combing.

Just save money and buy yourself a good job.

No stress. So many federal jobs you can buy with money.

If you are a corper and you are reading this, do all you can to save enough money, when it’s time to look for job, ask the right questions and meet the right people. You’ll get a good job.
Job sales has become order of the day. What a country!!!

Lie lie.... We once had a vision 2020... This is 2020 and Nigeria has been backward ever since.
When vision 2020 was proposed in 2003, Nigeria as at then was having 65% poverty. Fast forward to date when the vision should be seen materializing, instead of poverty reduction, the country rather turns into "POVERTY CAPITAL OF THE WORLD". What a joke of a country!!!

PoliticsRe: Court Sends Otunba Runsewe To Prison For Contempt by JunctionBox: 7:14pm On Jan 09, 2020
A High Court of Federal Capital Territory ((FCT) on Thursday, sentenced the Director General, National Council for Arts and Culture, Otunba Olusegun Runsewe to Nigeria Correctional Centre (prison) for contempt.
Justice Jude Okeke made the order said Runsewe disobeyed the order of the court made on December 15, 2017.
The order was sequel to a motion drawn from a suit filed by Ummakalif Ltd against the Minister, Federal Capital Territory, Federal Capital Development Authority, the Director General National Council for Arts and Culture, and the Minister for Culture and Tourism, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th defendants respectively.
The motion dated the 21st day of June, 2019, was brought pursuant to Order 47 rule 10 subrules 1 , 2 and 3 of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory Civil Procedure Rules 2018.
The motion of the claimant sought for an order of court committing Otunba Olusegun Runsewe, the Director General of the 3rd Defendant to prison for contempt of the order of court made on the 15th December, 2017.
Justice Okeke described the act of Runsewe as highly contemptuous, adding that committing him to custody of the Nigerian Correctional Services will serve as deterrent to others who abuse office and disobey court orders with disdain.

I actually had nothing to comment but when I read the bolded part, I quickly remembered Buhari and disobedience to court order. How many court orders has Buhari obeyed? These judges seem they don't know their job.

TravelRe: I Make 10M A Year: Relocate Abroad Or Stay In Nigeria. by JunctionBox: 9:15pm On Jan 07, 2020
Anon9876:
Hey everyone. I’m a successful business woman in Nigeria and I make nothing less than 10M a year from my businesses. I’ve been thinking of relocating abroad, part of my 2020 goals but recently, been having second thoughts.

I have millions of naira in a fixed account and my businesses are doing really well I have no reason to relocate for ‘greener pastures’ as my grass is already green and been really thinking of sitting my a*s back in Nigeria and looking after my businesses myself.
However, I don’t like the system in this country at all. Nothing works. Low quality of life and there’s a ridiculously low life expectancy as well. If I code this minute and I need urgent health care, I kid you not I might die and we all know why - Bad roads, corruption, bad government.

Still, I’m confused. Should I stay back and concentrate on my businesses and take vacations abroad or should I relocate for a better quality of life? One thing I don’t want is my kids given birth to and raised in Nigeria.

If I decide to relocate, my money won’t really go far in the country I choose to relocate to due to naira/dollar unfavorable rates, tax, and bills upon bills. I won’t be as rich as I am now in this country but I will be comfortable.

My parents see living abroad as a big deal but I don’t know if they will see being rich here as the ultimate( they don’t know about my wealth yet)

I would really need your inputs, the visa won’t be an issue, I have enough to keep trying again till I get it. Should I stay in Nigeria, live in a nice estate that provides comfort and luxury(in a not so good enough country where an illness like malaria can kill me due to the bad health care system) or should I relocate for a better quality of life?

If I choose to relocate, I’m thinking my businesses won’t be the same, no one will handle it like the owner or am I wrong? Dangote and other rich people don’t live in Nigeria and they still make their money right?
Hufff! So confused.
Believing all you have put up there, if I were in your shoe, I would have relocated notwithstanding whatever consequences.

This is my suggestion if it will count.

Someone up there had done the convertion maths and arrived at 5,800,000,000 in Naira.. Just collect the money, get youths that have common sense and are ready to do business... Invest in their lives with the sum of 500,000 in naira each. You will end up pulling out of poverty 11,000 youths living in poverty. Then go in search for other people who has that amount or more in their accounts and replicate. We can't have monies lying dormant. Money must be in circulation. I hate nonsense attitude.
Lol. Wish this could be converted to practical. The government of the country is not even ready to fight poverty this way. They can only tell you to embrace farming with nothing in your account if you must liberate yourself from the same government inflicted poverty.

Oga, please give the guy the laptop if you've truly got one. Fact that he's not begging for money, opened this very thread and he's got a distinction in an engineering field is enough to show that he's a serious person.

As for the OP, I've been in your shoes and I must tell you that no one owes anything and don't run after money.
If possible, get a teaching job (that should be easy with your certificate), invest your salary into getting a laptop and learning a skill. Then quit teaching and develope your skill. It'll be tough, very very tough, but you'll end up Loving it.

That route took me two to three years to pass through, and I thank God for today.
How do I reach you please?

BusinessRe: Does Any Bank Grant Student Loan In Nigeria? by JunctionBox: 4:59pm On Jan 06, 2020
post=85540876:
There was a thread we read couple of months ago about how so much easy it is for people generally to get loans in Nigeria by just a click on your phone, (No collateral!)

Many people did not believed it until people started dialing the code that the OP of the thread put it, and they were shocked when they started receiving real money in their bank account, some people got as much as #100,000 (One hundred thousand naira) under 3 mins!

One of the people that call the country and President unprintable names on a daily basis (a confirmed wailer) requested for 100K, they gave it to him also (cos he testified on this said thread) He said he was given #96,000 to pay back #100,000 in a month or so.

And trust Nairalanders/Nigerians, many still came to the thread asking about how they can scam the company and run away ,with the loan, that how will they traced them?(God punish them all!)

The thread is still somewhere here, too early in the morning to start searching now, but hopefully someone should come across it or we come back to search for it when sleep commot for eyes.

And may everyone bad Nigerian that wants to get the free loan without paying back or to scam the company be blind before they see the thread!

No be curse,
Na FACT OF LIFE!

cool

See ya in a bit OP!
Please have you finally found the thread? Can you show me the link?

Do you mean the real student loan?. The one that funds your education and then you pay back gradually when you start working?
I doubt if anyone can set that up in Nigeria
Unforseen circumstances (unemployment in Nigeria) is a setback to initiating such institution.
