Principe67: It's no longer news that popular Banku singer and Headies 2016 next rated award winner Mr Eazi goofed on twitter today with his unpopular tweet which stated that Nigerian music was influenced by Ghana.
Whether true or not the replies that flooded the social media platform shows that a lot of his Nigerian fans do not agree with him. So many hilarious memes and skit have trailed him today on twitter but surprisingly this hilarious skit on Instagram has being going AWOL owing to its funny rendition of the situation...

jomoh: So azonto is a beat and not a dance?
By your analysis French music has influence over Nigerian music because we do the dab dance and create songs tailored to it.
Your analysis is simply floored because by your analysis, all Ghanaian musics are original with no Nigerian Influnce.
Or do you want to tell me shoki and shakiti bobo dances never made it past the Nigerian shores. if it does, does that mean Nigerian music had influence over that country's music.
In fact I just saw a Ugandan footballer do the shoki dance on tv while typing this are u saying Nigerian music had huge influence over theirs.
like I said music is a global phenomenon people choose which one appeals to them at everypoint in time but to say Ghanaian musics influence over naija own cannot be over stated means it must have had a very huge I mean huge impact on the Nigerian music.
Highlife is restricted to the south east and not a national thing. Afro beats/Afro hiphop is an African thing from Togo to south Africa to Kenya to Tanzania to Nigeria. it is what all African Music is refered to and not a Ghanaian thing.
The original American hip-hop was started by black decendants of slaves transported from Africa most of them who carried along their local music. Report has it that one in every black man has a Nigerian origin. Can we safely say the influence of Nigerian music on the hip-hop is huge. Afro beats was shaped by Ghanaian High Life music especially in Nigeria. If you ever read most books on west African music, you will know that. |

!) he said Ghanaian music industry was bugger than Nigerian industry
2) 2nd he said he is Apple phone and will always sell more than Tekno phone, an indirect way to diss our own Tekno
3) the fool is now talking about ghana music influencing nigerian music
i never liked that guy or his musics anyway, his songs always sounded the same and you know "Monotony kills interest" ask Fella, how Ghanaian music shaped his music and enriched it . Ghanaian music has been shaping Nigerian music since the 1900s, even though it stopped at some point in time |

So I wasn't quoting people dümmy, I was quoting your own institution.
Do you know there's a NUTAG , Nigerian Union Of Traders In Ghana? They are running your export and import , real estate, services. The GUTA , Ghana Union Of Traders association has been lobbying your government that Nigerians are taking over their business
This is called economic projection and expansionism. It is what powerful countries do now. Military coercion has faded away.
So believe me when I say Accra takes orders from a Dangote in Lagos, never mind Aso Rock.
I'm still waiting on Ghana international commercial bank, fraudster! Dangote cannot even pull a straw in the business environment in Ghana let alone be a mover . GUTA is a trade union and it's duty is to seek out for it members. And they've made sure the Laws of Ghana have been enforced. You keep mentioning people who are not movers. |
