It contains the much needed prayer for Nigeria's present conditions

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXGGzBSaklA
Lyrics and interpretation;
Oh God of creation,
direct our noble cause- Political selfishness, corruption and occultism is misdirecting the noble course of our great nation.
and guide our leaders right-Our leaders are increasingly clueless and requires divine direction
help our youths the truth to know- Nigerian youths increasingly think with their hearts than their heads, thereby fanning ethnic tension, hatred, protection and support of impunity, while ignoring the truth
In love and honesty to grow- Nigerians lack love and honesty as shown in military brutality against civilians, actions of trigger happy policemen against Nigerian civilians, ethnic militancy, 419, prostitution etc.
and living just and true- Most Nigerian perceive unjust means as smartness and see the truth as dumbness. Like incessant looting of public funds and widespread misappropriation of public funds by supposed honest Nigerians.
great lofty heights attain- As Nigerians, we dream for an ever elusive eldorado, which is actually achievable.
to build a nation where peace and justice shall reign- We lack peace and Justice

Enegod: so economy is more important than human lives..you supose to be killed by bokoharam
As much as we may try to pretend that human lives are valued than economic growth and development, the actual fact remains that the economy is given priority over everything else in the world.
Let's look at it logically, what is life worth without the economic means to afford its sustenance? Ponder over it then you'll understand why nations waste lives in wars for economic reasons.
Ok boss.

Let us assume income is 100.

What is the difference between reducing income(MEND) to 25% and using 75% of full income to fight insecurity(BH)?
The difference is that with MEND at peace and BOKO HARAM on rampage, you have 75% of the national income to curb Boko Haram and 25% for other issues. With BOKO HARAM at peace and MEND on rampage, you have 25% of 100% of national income available to fight insecurity talk less of other issues. That is, assuming your assertion is the case.
PoliticsBoko Haram Is Nothing Compared To MEND by Justcash(op): 5:58am On May 11, 2013
In spite of the fact that Boko Haram's campaign has succeeded in creating fear and social instability in Nigeria, they will never succeed in creating the kind of instability that was created by MEND. As unbelievable as it may sound, the creation of economic instability is more destabilizing than the instillment is social unrest.
While economic instability completely destroys the ability of a nation to witness any form of growth and development, social instability can be managed, as long as there is economic growth, which can aid the long term control of such an instability.
MEND brought Nigeria down to her knees. Boko Haram is busy reducing the population of the country, while economic stability, growth and development is still being witnessed in the country. In the long term, Boko Haram will only succeed in strengthening the resolve of the Nigerian government to create a more effective security apparatus in the country, especially with the growing economic strength that is being witnessed. However, more lives will be lost before then.
In Conclusion, it is better to avoid the re-occurrence of the MEND campaign than the current BOKO HARAM madness.

Nothing wey you no go see for nairaland.
How is my reasoning based on tribal foundation? Na wa o.

The managers of this rail system were employed from the unemployed segment of the masses. The masses are supposed to demand for the right things to be done. When the masses corroborate with these managers to encourage the rot of the system by partaking in the abnormal use of these infrastructures, THE FG IS NOT TO BE BLAMED. Do the right thing and encourage development. You hang on top of coaches because you are desperate to get to your destination, then you blame the FG for allowing you to hang up there. If there is no more space in the train, what happened to buses? What the heck is wrong with Nigerians!

vicope: Wow! You have spoken.......unfortunately everything you said is arrant nonsense! That your government spent billions of dollars to revive a locomotive train is now a fault of the masses? If FG had opted for fast-moving cable or tunnel trains, do you think Nigerians are so daft as to travel on-top of such fast trains? How many Nigerians have you seen travelling on the top of luxurious or even small buses? If they travel on top of this train, its because they know that there is barely no risk on travelling on the top of a snail speed train. Precise what is wrong with your FG stationing some sort of task-force to ensure that tickets are not sold beyond the available number of seats?
You are not making sense at all. What made you to feel that if the FG provides fast moving tunnel or cable trains, they will not be used beyond their capacities by the Nigerian masses? That is even more dangerous because it may cause mishaps. My point is that it is the mentality of the Nigerian masses that is actually responsible for this rot. Task force you said? How different will the task force be from the police force? The masses will bribe the members of these task force to allow the rot to go on, instead of demanding diligence. Does the FG also need to raise another task force to monitor the members of this task force? Sigh. These infrastructures create jobs and the FG led by GEJ is not directly responsible for managing them (Functionally). They disburse funds for management, but the masses seat in ignorance and watch the managers steal these funds, while relying comfortably on a deteriorating system. This brews corruptions and sustains the rot.

My friend, you are saying nonsense. Is GEJ to blame for the orientation of Nigerians? Is he the one that will change it? If he adopts a "Buharic" posture (war against indiscipline), you will call him a dictator. The rail system was not functional before GEJ came to power. He has been able to bring it back to life. It is the duty of Nigerians, especially the masses, to ensure that these infrastructures are well maintained. To do this, they need to demand for the right things to be done by those responsible for managing these infrastructures! Is anything stopping the masses from refusing to hang on top of the coaches? Is anything stopping the masses from demanding to be seated in a civilized manner? What is stopping the masses from embarking on a peaceful protest (Legal) for the right management practices to implemented? The OP said that the journey takes 21 hrs. He can as well go and board a bus. Of what use is it to partake in a wrong system when you cannot demand for the right things to be done by making sure that those that are directly responsible for this rot are brought to book. You come here and post useless pictures just to show that GEJ's achievements are failing. while doing that, you are making no effort to ensure change. SportsGhanaians Thank Eagles For Elephant’s Fall, Now Sure Of Trophy by Justcash(op): 10:56am On Feb 05, 2013
THE camp of the Black Stars came alive immediately after the Super Eagles defeat of Cote d’Ivoire at the quarterfinal of the on-going South Africa 2013 CAF Nations Cup because the Ghanaians saw the Elephants as their toughest opponent in the race to the trophy.

The Black Stars will on Wednesday take on Burkina Faso in the first semifinal of the competition, while Nigeria meets with Mali in the other match of the day.

An excited member of the Black Stars contingent, who pleaded anonymity, said meeting with Nigeria in the final was the better option ‘because we know how to handle your Eagles.’

Saying that he was not under-rating Nigeria, he was of the opinion that the rivalry between both countries would rouse his players to give their best in the game, adding, “When we are in top gear Nigeria cannot stop us.”

He added: “We have had the upper hand against Nigeria in our recent encounters and I pray that we meet again in the final.

“It is not as if we were afraid of Cote d’Ivoire, but I think Nigeria will be an easier opponent. Make no mistake about it, Nigeria did extremely well against Cote d’Ivoire, but the Ivoiriens have themselves to blame because they were complacent.

“That would not happen if we meet Nigeria,” he boasted.

Ghana arrived in Nelspruit Monday afternoon and was expected to train in the evening in preparation for its semifinal against Burkina Faso Wednesday at the Mbombela Stadium.

This is the problem with Nigerians. You have not been able to show that you can manage a fuel/gas powered locomotive rail system, you are asking for an electric or Nuclear powered "supersonic" rail transport system. The masses are crying for jobs, the FG, despite their inefficiency, provides a little and it turns into an opportunity to dig into the national cake through mismanagement. Have you stopped to ask who the heck the people taking more passengers than is needed are, and why they do so unhindered? FOR REAL CHANGE TO COME TO NIGERIA, THE ATTITUDE OF THE NIGERIAN MASSES NEEDS TO CHANGE. All of you that are blaming GEJ for this one are very daft. He is refurbishing the rail system. Is it not the duty of the masses to guard and ensure that these infrastructures are operated efficiently? The people that are to blame for this rot are;
A. The masses that prefer to hang like monkeys on top of the coaches instead of sitting like decent people inside.
B. The inefficiency of the masses that got employed after these trains were brought back to life.
C. The illiterate masses that cannot just be patient on order for the coaches to be operated within its capacity.
D. The preference of the masses for short cuts even if it implies indulging in corrupt practices.
E. The chaotic orientation of the Nigerian masses.
F. The Spineless masses that cannot exercise their civic rights by demanding for orderly conduct through legal means.

Everything is not about the FG. You will just be surprised at the kind of criticism and antagonism that will come from the masses following any plan by the FG to restore order through coercion. Nonsense.

PoliticsSo Far, ACN Has Been A Disappointment by Justcash(op): 10:45am On Oct 25, 2012
The ability of an opposition party to retain political strides made and cover more grounds is dependent on their ability to offer something different and more pleasing to the populace.
During the last general elections, I was one of the few Nigerians that took a hypocritic stance about the possibility of ACN providing better leadership than PDP. While I opposed ACN openly,I prayed secretly that the party should indeed provide alternative leadership qualities that can steer Nigeria towards meaningful development. This was based on the assumption that if the party could transform the states that they were able to grab from PDP, they would spark up series of reformations around the country and stimulate the long awaited revolution in 2015.
I have waited like millions of Nigerians to see a reason to vote for ACN as an alternative to PDP in 2015. The party has been so damn disappointing. They seem to be pursuing an ethnic and regional agenda than a national one. They have failed to prove that they are different from PDP. In all the states that they control, there is yet to be any form of meaningful development. They are doing the same things that PDP governors are doing. The difference is that while they do theirs in green caps, PDP does theirs in red caps. They have only few performing governors i.e. Fashola and Oshiomole, the rest are complaining about PDP and are not showing why they are different.
ACN is indeed a huge disappointment. What happened to them in Ondo State is just a sign of what will hit them in 2015 if they don't change their ways.

FoodRe: Price Of Garri Skyrockets Astronomically by Justcash(m):
Nigerian Youths are Lazy!

Below is how to get garri.....

Cut out some cassava stems, dig up beds of nutritious humus soil, stab the cassava stems into the beds of sand and relax for the rain to pour on them. They will grow into rich cassava plants. Dig out the cassava tubers when they have grown, preserve the stems and cut off the brown tubers of cassava. Carefully peel out the brown coats. Use the brown coats as goat feed and grind the white part. After grinding them, pour them into clean khaki bags and press them for 24hrs. After 24 hrs, untie the bags, pour out the contents and sieve out the cassava flour. Place a big frying pan on fire and fry the flour, you will get Garri.

You can do all these with very minimum reliance on electricity. You can open a garri factory. You can lease lands, outsource processes to make lots of money from producing garri.

PoliticsReps Applaud High Local Content In Innoson Vehicles by Justcash(op): 3:26pm On Mar 23, 2012
Members of the House of Representatives Committee on Local Content have commended Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Limited for the high level of local input in the vehicles made at its plant in Nnewi, Anambra state.

The lawmakers who were at the plant located in Uru village, Nnewi, for an on-the-spot assessment of the vehicle production process and verification of the level of the local content in Innoson automobiles, said they were impressed with the various stages of manufacturing witnessed during the visit.

Speaking during the visit, the Chairman of the committee, Hon. Asita Honourable, said that they were happy to discover that more than half of the auto components were sourced locally, and urged Nigerians to patronize the company.

“The Innoson motor plant at Nnewi is a huge honour to Nigeria.” he noted. “What is going on at Nnewi is an amazing feat which needs to be encouraged. This is not an assembly plant, but a full production site where Nigerian auto engineers are exhibiting their skills. We saw them and felt extremely impressed that such marvelous feat is existing in our country.”
He, therefore, stated that the committee would support Innoson by using its buses in carrying out official activities. “The high standard of Innoson Vehicles has made us to endorse it for our jobs. We have resolved to make it an official vehicle for the assembly.”

He also praised the vision of the company Chairman, Chief, Dr. Innocent Chukwuma OFR, saying that his ingenuity has added value to manufacturing sector.
Innoson makes a wide range of vehicles at the plant, including buses of various sizes (mini, shuttle, intra- and inter-city), refuse compactors, SUVs and many others.

“Chief Chukwuma is indeed a mega industrialist. Apart from the motor plant he established, he has plastics, motorcycle tyre and tubes industries as well. Certainly the multiplier effects of all these in employment sector is overwhelming and such a man requires government support. He is a true Nigerian with patriotic zeal. He has demonstrated that through the establishment of all these plants. Of course, we the Lawmakers would not hesitate in assisting him to achieve greater result.”

Thanking the visiting Lawmakers, Chukwuma promised to make the prices of new automobiles cheaper in Nigeria, if he is adequately encouraged in his venture to produce good quality and affordable vehicles, making use of substantial local input.

I am a business man. From a business perspective, I can tell you that Nigeria is an investment goldmine. Especially for developed African nations like South Africa. Go and read about the story of what happened to Vodacom when MTN established in Nigeria. Till today, Vodacom is regretting their costly ignorance. Ever wondered why multichoice is more present in Nigeria than any other African country apart from SA? Do you know how many South African services exist and thrive in Nigeria?

Let me say it in pidgin english, Naija people sabi chop and enjoy life, but we no dey produce.

The above is the reason why we are a heck of a goldmine for businesses from developed nations. The advantage SA gat over other countries is the continental and regional familiarity. They can exist and do business with all the inefficiencies in Nigeria. That is difficult for people from other continents.

grin grin grin grin grin grin THOSE PEOPLE THAT SAID NIGERIA WILL LOSE ARE FREAKING JOKING!

South Africa's gat to make a choice between chasing out Nigerians and losing the collaboration of Nigeria and her huge domestic consumption base. You guys probably don't know how attractive Nigeria is as a low manufacturing country and a high importing/consumption country. South Africa is advanced in production, and need big markets for their products and advanced services. Egypt, China, India etc gat high production rate and equally advanced services, which makes them less attractive than Nigeria for finished products and services.
Meanwhile, apart from the illegal Nigerians in that country, genuine Nigerians go there to spend money and return. Those that are there help in improving their domestic consumption rate and also pay taxes when they work or do biz. The fact that they don't come here to spend and we go there more is a good reason for them not to lose Nigeria.

Comparatively, South Africa is benefiting more and will lose more.

If you had a choice between deporting 1 million Nigerians and losing more than 5 billion dollars in nationalize South African investments, which one will you choose?

PoliticsDiplomatic Fever Grips Nigeria, South Africa Over Deportation Saga by Justcash(op): 7:57am On Mar 06, 2012
Diplomatic fireworks are being fired from all cylinders. This is to avoid a major diplomatic row between Nigeria and South Africa over what is considered as the harsh and unfriendly treatment meted out to 125 Nigerians by the South African authorities over the weekend. The said number of Nigerians were deported from South Africa as a result of not possessing (or possessing alleged fake) Yellow Fever Vaccine cards.

The Nigerian government and the government of South Africa have held a meeting over last week's deportation. The yellow card, which is a public health document, shows that bearers have been vaccinated against yellow fever.

The meeting was held yesterday afternoon in Pretoria, South Africa. The Federal Government has already registered its displeasure over the incident.

Speaking with THISDAY in a telephone conversation, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Olugbenga Ashiru, condemned the actions of South Africa's immigration authorities as not being in tune with international best practices.

He maintained that Nigeria has no yellow fever epidemic, which is why most countries do not require yellow fever vaccination certificates from travellers coming from Nigeria before allowing them entry.
"Yellow fever is an issue mostly with countries in the Southern Hemisphere," Ashiru noted.
Foreign Relations analysts have already condemned South Africa's action which is capable of causing a diplomatic row between the two countries.

Already, top officials of organisations involved in air transport met yesterday in Lagos at the instance of the Director General of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Dr. Harold Demuren, and agreed among other things that Port Health staff would be part of the screening team to profile the yellow fever document of South Africa-bound passengers.

Representatives of the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Immigration, Customs, Airport Commandant, Director of Security, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Port Health Services, South Africa Airways and Arik Air also held a meeting yesterday and concluded that the problem concerning the deportation of Nigerians from South Africa should be resolved immediately.

The meeting also agreed that the head of Port Health and other officials should be sent to South Africa to find out exactly the grouse of the health officials of that country resulting in the deportation of Nigerians, even after they had showed that they were inoculated for yellow fever with relevant documents to back their claim.

Last Friday, South Africa Airline (SAA) returned 75 passengers to Nigeria, while Arik Air brought back 50 passengers including Nigerians who have been living in South Africa for years.

Demuren told THISDAY in a telephone interview that the two countries were responsible for the immigration problem, adding that it was agreed that Nigeria would abide by the given conditions as specified by South Africa Port Health and if the officials persist in embarrassing and harassing Nigerian passengers, then government would adopt equally hostile attitude towards the country, which apartheid policy was scrapped in 1994.

“We looked at all the problems. Some are from us and some are from them and we proffered both short-term and long-term solutions. The short term solution is that officials of port health will be screening the passengers before they travel to South Africa. We have to approach it this way, but if we found out they don’t want to co-operate, then we adopt a very stiff measure,” Demuren said.

Another official who attended the meeting told THISDAY that from the facts gathered at the meeting, South Africa Immigration might be doing this to undercut Arik Air, Nigeria’s only carrier that operates to South Africa.

“From what was discussed, we can say that their action was politically and economically related whereby South Africa may be using the system to undercut Arik Air. So Arik is now insisting that all their passengers must get their yellow fever cards from Port Health. So if you bring your card they will take it and tell you to go to Port Health and get the inoculation and the card; yet they still turn them back.

“So government wants to know what South Africa wants. There is a directive that before you get South Africa visa that you must have been proven to have been vaccinated against yellow fever disease, which means that anyone that has that visa must have been vaccinated but now they are repatriating Nigerians who have their visa,” he said.

The source also said that the meeting concluded that it would give South Africa one week to resolve this issue but “if it is not resolved within one week Nigeria will retaliate.
Arik Air will take officials of Port Health to South Africa to find out what their position is. We want to exhaust all diplomatic measures before a stiffer action would be taken”.

Also yesterday, the Chairman, House Committee on Diaspora, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa reacted to the illegal deportation of Nigerians from South Africa and said in a statement that she condemned the act, describing it as “continuous unwarranted hostilities against Nigerians by the South Africa government”.
Dabiri-Erewa also described the South Africa government attitude as degrading and condemned the continuous hostility to Nigerians by the South Africans as unacceptable.

“It is pathetic that 125 Nigerians, the highest so far, which include women and children, were delayed for 24 hours without water and food in an inhuman condition before being bundled back to Nigeria.

“Do Nigerians ask South Africans to fill yellow card when coming to Nigeria? Even though passengers must have passed through this process while applying for visa in the embassy; why treating Nigerians with scorn and indignation?” Dabiri-Erewa said.

In the same vein, the House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs yesterday summoned the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ashiru, over the diplomatic row brewing between both countries.
Ashiru is expected to appear before the committee today to clarify the circumstances leading to the deportation of the 125 Nigerians and what steps have been taken to resolve the crisis in the relationship between the two countries.

Chairman of the Committee, Hon. Nnenna Elendu-Ukeje, who spoke with journalists in Abuja on the issue, said the committee was disturbed by the deportation as well as the series of attacks on Nigerians and its interests in South Africa.

“We are indeed worried about all these indignations and scorn Nigerians are subjected to all over the world especially by her sister African nations. This calls for a review of our relationship with these countries,” he said.
