It is until Northerners starts getting killed in the South South that you will know how serious they are. I don't even know the reason why you are daring them? You think they cannot kill innocent Northerners or what? If they do it, what will happen? Northerners will go to war? SMH. Like I said, don't dare them too much, they will do it o! KnowAll:
Nzeogwu came from Mid-Western State, that is why he is referred to as a Mid-Western. Mid-Western State was created in 1963. So the description of him as a Mid-Western is spot  on similar to describing someone from spain as a spanish.

Thanks for your contribution.
The Issue is, Is Asaba really in the "mid west"? And why mid-west and not South west? If you look at the map below, you will see that Delta is in the Western part of the "true" southern Nigeria.  Why was it called "Mid West"? It seems like a deliberate attempt to disintegrate the south.
"Mid west" does not make any meaning considering the location of Delta in the map. It is well dug inside the South. The mid west states should be Ondo and Edo.
I think it was all about oil. They tried to disintegrate the true Southern Nigeria, create conflict and take control of oil. A consequence of the war.

PoliticsRe: What The Heck Is South South? It Should Be East, West, North And South! by Justcash(op): 11:42am On Apr 28, 2011
I guess oil is the reason why the "Southern" part of Nigeria is being given so much attention. Everyone is claiming South now. If the North had a way to ptove it, they would have claimed "North South".

PoliticsRe: What The Heck Is South South? It Should Be East, West, North And South! by Justcash(op): 11:35am On Apr 28, 2011
Even the geographical categorization of Nigerian regions is wrong. What other evidence does one need to prove that Nigeria is a freaking farce? SMH.

How can Kaduna Nzeogwu be known as a Mid-westerner, when he should be known as a Southern Nigerian from the South west?

What a load of baloney!!!
where was this so-called igbo spirit in the first republic when igbos were taking up most (govt.) posts in the SOUTH? it was this greed that eventually brought down our nascent democracy.

Parity ko, disparity ni!

Una don come with una juvenille revisionism.
Southern Nigeria is made up of Igboland and the present South south entities.

If you are Yoruba, you are a western Nigerian. We, Southerners, have always been in the helm of our affairs. Go and mind your business in the west.
PoliticsWhat The Heck Is South South? It Should Be East, West, North And South! by Justcash(op): 8:34am On Apr 28, 2011
Why is there South South, and there is no West West, East East and North North? Can someone Clarify it for me?
In the Nigerian map, Igboland and the Present South South should be known as south, and not East. The present South west up to some part of edo state should be known as West. Some parts in the present Northern Nigeria should make up Eastern Nigeria.
Igboland is totally connected to South South both in culture and region, but alot of effort is being made to ensure that Igboland is carefully demarcated from the South South. In the real sense, Cross river state is in the South East. Rivers, Bayelsa and Akwa Ibom states are in the South South, Delta state is in the South West and Enugu is in the South North. The original mid-belts are Kogi, Nassarawa, Abuja etc
I don't need ethnic fools and bigots here. Let's be realistic. Is it not confusing the way Nigeria is divided?

Not until some sections of the country learn to talk less and observe more just like my Northern Brothers, I am afraid they may continue to pay the highest price and gain least for the unity of Nigeria.
Remember that observation alone cannot earn one relevance. When you have the relevance, you tend to talk less. When you lose that relevance, you will need to talk more than observe to win back that relevance. Watch how loud your Northern brothers will talk in the next eight years, and also try to notice how silent the SS and SE will be while observing.
PoliticsRe: How Igbos Raise To Political Importance by Justcash(m): 5:16am On Apr 28, 2011
@Poster: Igbos don't need all those stuffs that you mentioned. We need Equity and Progress. Let everyone be equally entitled to every opportunity, and let there be provision of all the basic infrastructures. Let Sea Ports, International airports, Roads, Electricity etc be equally provided in every part/region of Nigeria. Let appointments be based on competence than ethnicity. Let purposeful leadership reign above corrupt and retrogressive leadership.

Since i joined Nairaland, most topics especially on politics section is always Igbo these, Igbo people that. I need to know why all these so called topics and statements on Igbo people. Tuface said, "If nobody talk about you, then you are nobody."

Is it that Igbo people are the most important tribe in Nigeria?

That without them, Nigeria wouldn't be what it is today.

I am just a curious Nigerian who never being to Nigeria before and very curious about what is happening to Nigeria.

Fortunately, I am an Igbo man by identity and not by birth.

Your answer will be so much appreciated.
My brother, keep your head up, you are very fortunate to be Igbo. Your question is like asking why Isreal is hated by the Arab world? You know why ofcourse. Envy and Jealousy. The ingenuity and intelligence of Igbo people threaten them so much that they keep having sleepless nights. That's too bad for them because the more they call our names maliciously, the more we rise. Keep your head up, you are from the most intelligent and progressive tribe in Nigeria.

You, the same "proud Igboman" that vowed to call your uncles, friends, family and even the flying brids to vote Ngige out is now "proud" that your people voted for him. Rubbish.

I see that you've not yet check to confirm the psychological diagnosis I gave you sometimes in the past.

Yes, all my people voted against Ngige, but the wish of Igbo people prevailed.

But yet you decided to camp on a Yoruba thread to blow off your hating steam.

Yea your people voted right. But what happened to making sure "Dora" wins? ROTFL, up Ngige!! Up ACN!!
No amount of rigging and vote buying could harm up  grin grin
I am not as bigoted and tribalistic as you. I like Fashola. That is why I keep checking this thread.
You got my point. Even XYZ stranger got my point too. Ngige would have won a long time ago, but your mouths didn't let him win. I actually didn't partake to rig, as most of you keep thinking. I had to partake because some of you were already screaming that Tinubu's influence was responsible for Ngige's victory.  I pushed for a proper election, which is clear now. If we wanted to rig, Ngige would have lost. So get over it.
It is also clear to all of you that it is about Ngige and not ACN.

Ngige and Dora are Igbos. I am proud of any of them that won.  I am just happy that I proved a point to all of you that tried to mess with the intention of Igbos in the first place. Atleast now, you know that Igbos voted for Ngige not ACN.
The difference is that before, you screamed up ACN, which was the reason I stalled it. Now you are screaming up Ngige! which shows that you got my point. Heheheheheheheh

Up Ngige!
Inferiority complex when it comes to Yoruba states? Now I know how much you wish and dream for such to happen. That will actually be possible if Jesus Christ happens to fall to the temptation of Satan, which is impossible.
Like you noted, I am a proud Igbo man that is more concerned about my people. Your definite restlessness about my people's progress is visible considering your focus and unending contribution to issues that are about my people. One would think that it is out of your unbiased view of Nigerians as "Nigerians" and not ethnic nationals. However, that would be a wrong assumption.
The "Witch like" vains that protrudes from your malicious skin whenever you mention "Igbo" clearly indicates your wish that the creator should wipe away Igbos, and a simultaneous regret that contrary to your wish, Igbos are growing right in your face.
As for Ngige, I am more proud than ever that my people choose their leaders over their political platforms, which in no way translates to instilling the influence of another ethnic group over our priceless ethnic group.
So, get some sleep kid. Stop imagining a world domination by Yorubas when in fact you'all are locked in the Western part of Nigeria. If there is any ethnic group from Nigeria that can dominate the world, it is the IGBOS.

ezeagu:
I think most are talking about creating a Southern Nigeria first, then in this cooler climate the different fractions can decide if they want to further split, this way the UN will jump to the call for the north and south to be divided because they are already aware of all the tension and they will immediately think that this is the Islam/Christian divide they've seen in South Sudan, so they'd be quicker to work because they wouldn't want another war on their hands. When the two countries are created, the different southern groups can agree to split and recognise each other instead of relying on the UN.
And what gave you the impression that the West will agree to split with the East and especially the South after the division has been ensured? Is it really going to be that easy? You sure know that the West will want to hold onto a southern unity?
Well, I prefer a Southern country than Nigeria as it is now. Still the current Nigerian Political trend will  exist in a Southern Nigerian country, though in a more subtle way.

EZEUCHE, You see what I mean. Pride. Who wants to be known to be dependent on another group? The North will not hamper any effort to divide Nigeria. It is the political elites that are so afraid of letting the country crumble, so that they will not have it on their heads. They are the ones that own oil wells. Their days are numbered.
Justcash, this is hard for me to say this, but I am going to need you to shut up. If you want other nations to support a referendum, you need a blueprint, in which they will support. They will not support a South that is divided. The south-west would not be able to go to the UN and have their blessing, nor will the south-east be able to do so either. The fact remains that both regions need each other if there is to be a referendum. A united front, is what we need.

How do you think Southern Sudan got its freedom? You know that Southern Sudan is not homogeneous don't you? It is a heterogeneous nation that has many different groups of people, but they all were united against an Arab north. The same can happen to Nigeria. If we stand united against the religious extremism found in the North, then we will be able to have our own nation.
Who told you the SW and SE cannot go to the  UN and get their blessing? Why do you think so? Does it take the presentation of a virgin mosquito that can only be found around the north for them to agree? So going to the UN with enough evidence of constant strife , retrogressiveness and disunity in Nigeria is not enough reason to dismember the country for the progress of its constituent nations? So, if the SS, SE and SW goes to the UN seeking for their own countries they will be rejected because of the North? Even when the North keeps slaughtering them for nothing? You gat to be joking. We don't even need to go to the UN, they will come to us when the time comes. By the time oil prices hit $300 P/B, and they will come to us.

Dream on my brother. It will happen when the Southern oil finishes. For me only violent revolution can make it happen and majority of us in the South are cowards, forget about all these internet warriors
Like I said, it will happen. Oil will be irrelevant when the polity becomes heated up. Contrary to your view, any entity that stands against it will be inflicted with a bitter and unforgettable pain. No one wants to bear that pain, especially with every group trying to protect their pride by claiming independence from other groups. At the moment, it is the people that own most of the oil that are in control of Nigeria. They are the ones protecting the fragile peace and unity of Nigeria because they are being held high like the golden eggs. When the madness from the parasites continue unabated, they will run out of patience, and oil will become irrelevant because they will cripple its supply and as usual, other groups will want out to show that they care less about oil. You and I know who will be the Ghaddaffi and which side will be aided by world powers when your supposed war breaks out. All that the world powers need to support a side are viable deals. Giving them oil fields owned by the parasites is enough for them to send rockets and jets to cripple the defense system of the parasites.

How? By saying that I'd prefer Igbos not to live in one country with Yorubas? Is that not factual? How can we get out of an unholy marriage, to another unholy marriage? We quarreled in this country called Nigeria for 50 yrs without achievements. I don't want my people to fall into another country where there will be quarrels and disagreements without progress.
