You helped Peter Obi and Dora Akunyili rig?

In any case, whether you like or not, Ngige WILL get that Senate seat. Either tomorrow, or later through the court system. There is no where to hide for cheats and riggers.
He has never lost without complaining. As it is now, he is already threatening fire and brimstone, just as he did when he lost the governorship post to Peter Obi. Well, Dora Akunyili will give Igbos better and more radical representation than Ngige. Ngige is a money bag, looking to get all the money he spent on fighting in court. ACN cannot win the votes of even dogs in the East of Nigeria ever again. I and many Igbo brothers will ensure that. Since it is about ethnic politics now. rather, the SW will be eaten into.
If he wishes to go to court and fight it, then I wish him luck. If he wins, then he won. My purpose is to shut your loud mouths for now.

NEXT TIME, ALL OF YOU SHOULD NEVER INSULT IGBOS FOR VOTING FOR ACN.
Look at what your mouth cost you? PDP has taken their share in the SW. Lest I forget, where is ACN in the SE?
Freaking noise makers.
I played a big part in ensuring that ACN does not get majority votes in Anambra and Akwa Ibom. We hate noise makers and proud fools that insult people in the East of Nigeria.

I see ACN winning maybe seats in Adamawa, Kwara, Benue, Edo, Akwa-Ibom which are not SW states.

Can you tell us anywhere in Nigeria where APGA can win an election convincingly?
They happened to win, and so what? ehe? ACN won in Akwa ibom, so what? You still think it is about the party? Sigh. Ngige won in Anambra state. ACN was voted for because of Ngige. Stop these your small brained perception of regional parties. ACN is not a regional party, as long as it has gone beyond a region. It is national party. If Ngige decided to go to PDP, he would have won. He is loved by his people. So, stop this your crappy and dirty perception. It exposes you to be a stark illiterate. Its clear u people re nt ready to define a political future choose to operate a divided plus cash and carry politics and sing along the Ebele Azikiwe track, good 4u.
As u can se,we re discusing serious political strategy here and the title is: ANYTHING BUT PDP.
Why would elders determine who Igbos vote for and who don't vote for? Do you think we follow elders stupidly like you do? Igbos vote who they want. We don't vote because we want Igbo parties to dominate. We vote because we want progressive leaders. Unlike a bigoted mind like you that votes ethnic related parties because you are afraid of other ethnic groups, Igbos don't give a damn about parties. We care about candidates. This is why it is not possible for one single party too own Igbo land. We vote with our eyes wide open.
You will see the power of Igbos during the governorship and presidential elections. If it is as fair as this one, ACN no go smell Igboland. The bad PDP governors will be changed with APGA and other candidates. GEJ will be massively voted for. Watch and see.

There is no broom revolution. In fact, there is more of a  Pen revolution than Broom revolution. Igbo Grannies detest Yorubas more because they experienced and heard what happened between the Yorubas and Igbos during the civil war. So those ones are beyond your reach. the segment that ACN should rely on to ever win in Igboland are the youths and mid age Igbos. That segment of Igbos are computer savvy and emotional. They appreciate development as shown by Fashola, but they don't like being called fools because they want to be liberal and fair with their votes. If Alao Akala joins ACN? Sorry ACN unlike PDP just dont allow anyone. Its one of the selling points of the ACN that they give better candidates

Check out Fashola vs Koro, Ajimobi vs Alao-Akala, Fayemi vs Segun Oni, Belgore vs Gbemi Saraki or Aregbesola vs Oyinlola.

The ACN aside having the SW in a lockdown already made inroads into Benue, Adamawa, Kwara, Edo, Anambra and Akwa Ibom while APGA is still struggling for acceptance in many SE states as the ppl still prefer PDP
The SS and SE will be shared between APGA and PDP. ACN got no chance in those places. APGA means change too, is that not so? So take a chill pill and be contented with the South west and one midbelt district that ACN got.

Now like Ezeuche said. If CPC got the North, ACN got the SW, what does the SE have to be considered in the Political equation called Nigeria.

If results are true that means the PDP only has strongholds in SE and SS

PDP and APGA gat SS and SE. They also gat some Northern states. It simply goes to show you the most democratic ethnic group in Nigeria. We vote for progress, not regional parties. Even if Alao Akala joins ACN today, you will press your thumb for him. That is what an Igboman will never do. It was shown in Anambra state, where the party you call a Yoruba party, ACN, showed some strength against APGA just because of Ngige.

Well, for me, I am for progress. I want Nigeria to develop so that I can be proud to be Nigerian, and not always wishing for a dis-integration. I really don't care about how it will come. If Ribadu and his ACN running mate can ensure it, then why not?! I need a working country, with security, efficient infrastructures, good schools for my children, good image etc. If PDP has failed to represent well, then it is healthy for them to lose. If ACN fails too, APGA may be tried out. Those things are beyond ethnic politics. Don't mind fools shouting that ACN is a yoruba party. Who dashed them the party? Wait until an Igbo man becomes ACN's chairman. then you will be convinced that it is a national party. Even CPC is a national party. Not Northern.
If Rochas Okorocha was in ACN, I would vote him with both thumbs. Nothing says that it is only an Igbo party or candidate that can respect ndi Igbo and deliver.

And yes, I want PDP voted out locally, especially in Abia, but I don't want to see ACN in my backyard.  angry
My brother, don't be deceived by what Nairalanders say. ACN is being voted because of individuals. If Ngige was in labour party or CPC, he would still win. ACN is not a Yoruba party as purported. Tinubu could control Fashola, can he control Ngige? What has been his influence over Oshimole?
ACN is a national party. The more they win in other regions, the more national ACN becomes.  APGA is also winning in some states. I heard that they took Imo state.
If ACN doesn't deliver, they will be voted out too in the nearest future. It is healthy for Nigeria's politics. My only fear is that ACN may actually become worse than PDP in terms of rigging.

how did she shave off the billions of debt, was she a multi billionaire, she did not get the position because she created it for herself, there was a vacancy, guess who gives those positions? and i am not forcing you to recognize anyone here, i am just giving you a name, surely if igbo women are so great you can give me a figure of atleast 150 years who is respected, just as i can go and show female figures from asia, europe, america of more than 100 years why are you giving me only females from now, is your history that recent?

that is where you get lazy, try reading what nana has contributed to the world instead of asking me question, there are many books written (by people from outside) on this great woman, how she has not impacted the world (muslim world) is the question, when we talk about gender in recent history her name is one of those that comes up,  you're pathetic

You call a woman that wrote about ottoman empire's bloody conquests a heroine, when She dint even fight or tell Ottoman and his blood suckers to stop killing and forcing captured women to be their slaves and wives. I bet queen Amina should be worshipped by you. The numb nature of your brain will change nothing though.

well, if you haven't noticed nana asama'u was in fact the most influential woman to emerge out of the 19th century in west africa by a great mile, so it is by all means accurate to mention her name, women like ezekwesili  have nothing on her, not today nor tomorrow, and anyway where does the national influence, political contribution, radical attitude and fearlessness come from? where was it 100 years ago and what did it achieve? just name me 1 igbo woman who is influential, who is refered in many quarters, i beg you to come up with 1 igbo woman who is as influential as nana asama'u, your logic is like comparing george bush to musa, haha comparing chimanada and her sad biafra story to nana, hahahaha, dude, you need a history lesson better just get your facts right, when we talk about women in islam and west africa in general in a historical perspective you can look no further than nana asama'u, you may not know her but that is because you are ignorant, on every islamic forum or community of muslims which has topics on females in muslim society you will most probably hear her name, you hear pakistanis, indonesians talking about her, what about your ezekwesili of this world hehe apart from when igbo men are beating their chests
You still have not told me how Asama'u helped womanhood or influenced Nigeria and the world. You are yet to tell me how she contributed to the wellbeing of Nigeria and Nigerians. Nigeria is also made up of christians o!
I can confidently tell you that an Igbo daughter called Dora Akunyili saved lots of Nigerian lives (Christians and Muslims) through her persistent fight against fake drugs.
I can also tell you that Chioma Ajunwa made every Nigerian proud, irrespective of religious background and ethnic affiliation, by winning Nigeria's first ever gold in the Olympics.
I can tell you that Oby Ezekwesili influences World bank's actions that has notable financial impact on Nigeria, Africa and the world.
I can tell you that when Okereke-Onyiuke was in the SEC, if she coughs, the Nigerian Financial sector shakes. i guess you know the impact that SEC has on Nigeria's attractiveness to foreign investors. Even Dangote found it difficult to stand her.
I can also tell you that Chimamanda Adichie used her influence to create a positive image for Nigeria by exhibiting the beauty of Nigeria to the world (you are here calling her a loser).
Ok, please outline how your Asama'u made an impact on the lives of Nigerians? I hope you know that Nigeria is not Ottoman's empire, because I don't know what you were taught in your Almajiri School.
It is people like you that makes me wonder how I ended up being a Nigerian. You would have been rearing cows and strapping bombs if you weren't fortunate enough to have Igbos and Southern Nigerians around you.

i don't see how those 4 points impact us, they are worthless if you put them in a perspective, they are not example, if you take a igbo woman how has she impacted women the same way that the president of liberia or nana asama'u have? these women are used as examples unlike those jokes, and also they are not the first women to preside over anything, the advisor of the leader of the government is from the north do you think that has any impact if we speak of women in general in nigeria? i doubt it

igbo women are not ahead of anyone, never have and never will, you may think they are the best thing but you've also thought you will lead this nation, how many first ladies have been igbo? lol, im not proud of them because they don't pay my meal , you cant force us to be proud of people who will not exist in our memories  in 50 years time
I aint forcing you, rather you are eating yourself up. Believe it or not, you will always remember them. No matter how you try to wish away their achievements, you will always remember them. The reason is that, they showed that women could do what men do!
What those women gave were the types of representation that Nigerian Women wish for. It is the same hard lines taken by Akunyili, Ezekwesili etc that even made Nigerians to believe that women were more hardened and capable than we thought. Their performances gave way for the appointment of a woman like Farida Waziri as the EFCC boss .  It is such representations that reinforces the belief of Nigerians in women.
there are  Nigerian women that can be categorized with the president of Liberia. They can only be found mostly among the Easterners and recently Westerners.  It is Women like Akunyili, Ezekwesili etc that has the guts to challenge men in Nigerian politics. Look at how the EFCC boss have become so dormant! Because she is threading with care. Can you see what pressure from men has done to her?
I am not saying that Igbo women are more SUPERIOR than other women (As your bigoted and tribalistic brain put it). I am saying that Igbo women are way ahead in terms of national influence, political contribution, radical attitude and fearlessness to compete in the field where women dread to go.
Even Chimamanda Adichie, with her little laurels is more Nationally recognized than your Asama'u. Na who sabi Asama'u? you seem to forget that the Ottoman empire's achievements and stories are now obsolete. Can you tell me how she added value to women? Maybe the same way Queen Amina added value right? My friend wake up! you must be sleeping.

Yes, I'd agree if you said that In the past they were not worth mentioning.

1. We know that being the world bank's VP and a former minister of finance that salvaged Nigeria from its enormous debt profile cannot be forgotten.
2. We also know who comes to mind when NAFDAC is mentioned.
3. We know that the first ever athlete to win a Gold medal for Nigeria in the Olympic games can never be forgotten.
4. We also know that the first female Nigerian Security Exchange Commission  DG can never be forgotten.
I have not mentioned their names, but still, I bet you know them. Those Igbo ladies are more popular in Nigeria and internationally than any Hausa woman can ever be. They have contributed more to Nigeria, and have touched millions of lives than any hausa woman can ever do in the next 100 years. They don't just go around documenting Jihad wars, they added value to Nigeria's pride. Stop talking crap.

I just have a problem with you trying to shout down the idea that Igbo ladies are way ahead of their peers. You are not even arguing about Yoruba women being close to Igbo ladies. You are trying to equate them with Hausa women. Hausa women are inactive. Too over ridden by Hausa men. Can a Hausa man make a lady his deputy? No! Even if that happens, the woman would be dormant and scared to talk.  That is what I mean. You are definitely sad or angry about that. Go and jump into a kunu river and drown.
Those Igbo women don't need to give me money for me to be proud of them. I am proud of them. If there were hausa women like them, I'd be proud of them too. But, there are none! So what's your problem dude?! Love them or hate them, they are worth being very proud of. If you don't like it, go and do your duty, eat some grass. Ewu Hausa!

If you cannot bring out a list, then stop hating. Better still, go and hug a wet transformer.
Imagine the cow of a dude called Namfav naming a jihard novelist as being influential. Worst of all is that he is a Hausa/fulani man whose wives are still locked up in harems and are meant to bear the consequences of the crimes of their men. Was it not in the north that a woman was almost stoned because a man made her pregnant. what happened to the man? Anuofia!

PoliticsFg And Foreign Firms Sign Mou On Eastern Nigeria's Rail Contract by Justcash(op): 11:09am On Apr 08, 2011
The Federal Government yesterday signed contracts for the rehabilitation of 2,119-kilometre three Eastern rail lines at a cost of  N67,337,252,898.30. The contract was signed with two foreign firms and a local company.

The three construction firms are China Gezhouba Group Corporation (CGGC), Esser Contracting and Industry Ltd and Lingo Nigeria Ltd.

Speaking at the contract signing ceremony, Minister of Transport, Mr. Yusuf Suleiman, gave the construction companies 10 months to complete the project.

The three Eastern lines, according to Suleiman, comprise 463 kilometres rail lines from Port Harcourt to Makurdi; 1,016 kilometres rail lines from Makurdi to Kuru with the inclusion of spur line to Jos and Kafanchan; and 640 kilometres rail lines from Kuru to Maiduguri respectively.

He said the scope of the contracts covers a comprehensive rehabilitation of the track, bridges, and culverts within the 2,119 kilometres track lines.

With the award of the contracts, the minister expressed optimism that the rail transport industry of the country was taking the last lap of the comprehensive rehabilitation campaign embarked upon by the Jonathan administration a year ago.

Suleiman said the present administration began the rehabilitation of the entire fixed and movable assets of the rail transport industry with the 1,315 kilometres Lagos to Kano track.

He added that government had procured  25 new general electric locomotive engines and workshop equipment, installed three generators of 1,000KVA, 750 KVA and 5,000 KVA; refurbished 500 wagons and coaching facilities; and training and retraining of staff in their diverse fields of specialisation to bring the country’s railway system to an international standard.

He charged the contractors to commit the whole of their available resources and expertise to the project with a view to completing it in record time and more importantly, etching their names in the sand of time as contractors worthy of their integrity and mettle.

He said:  “In this same spirit of achieving common goal, the engineers and the quantity surveyors of Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) would be involved in the supervision of the work of the contractors.”

He said President Goodluck Jonathan was committed to revamping the nation’s rail transport industry because of the importance of viable and effective rail transport system to the growth and continued sustenance of a healthy economy.

In his remark, Chairman of Esser Contracting and Industry Ltd, Mr. IIhan Adiloglu, said the undertaking of the 463-kilometre rail assignment by the Turkish firm was a new paradigm in boosting the relationship between both countries.

He said: “This railway construction is of priority importance for Nigeria, and we are especially aware that the completion of the project would have direct effect on the improvement of the living standards of Nigerians. We assure that the project would be completed on time.”
