This is an investment platform, where we discuss figures.

EPS, ROE, stock prices, equity, portfolio etc are absolute values.

These absolute values might encourage some of us to work harder, be consistent and persistent in creating long lasting wealth through the stock market.

Back in the days before the advent of online trading we used to go to our Stockbrokers offices to place our mandates after which customers will start discussing their portfolios in absolute values.

Meeting point was Mr Biggs behind UAC head office and Mr Biggs at Kingsway building Marina.

150k was a lot of money then. When a guy showed us the dividend warrant of over 150k he just picked up from General Post Office Marina.. That was the dividend from a company ooo, I think it was either Nigeria Brewery or Guinness.

That was when I started slowing down on my kitii kata strategy and gave myself a 20 year stock market investment plan broken down into 4 phases of 5 years each

I insist you need to be smart in investments.. it's common sense. I must not follow your strategy in its entirety..

All models are modifiable to work better..

Since absolute numbers are fine here, I got 360,000 from geregu..

My own strategy is simple. If low buy, keep and monitor. If the price falls to 17, i will buy. If it rises, i won't sell unless i hve suspicion about the stock. If the coy gives bonus i sell the main shares and keep the bonus. Ex i hve 200k Nigeria brewery shares i got from that crazy 1 for 1 bonus they did in 4 years . I sold the main shares and kept the bonus. All my access bank shares are bonus gotten from the coy. I see it as free why sell to buy back again. Another ex i bought ucap at 5, why sell at 12 to buy back at 11 or 10, when i can collect dividends.

Be matured and stop quoting absolute values here... you don't know my portfolio holdings..

What if the stock does not come down to N19, I will rather borrow against my current holdings to buy more shares if it comes down like I did in 2020 and then used my cash flow to liquidate the loan within 18 months

I actually sold 95% of my Access Bank shares when the CEO sold about 2 years. I try to follow insiders

We all know, how Zenith, GTB, Stanbic, UBA Access range in price after dividends.. I won't argue here because it won't change anything.

Elon musk sells shares at high prices.. and reenter again..

I have doubled my zenith and GTB shares with this strategy.. I missed just 3 naira per share

BullBearMarket will show you the charts.. I invest with charts as well..

I sold my Zenith BTW 25 - 26.. bought double my initial holding.. its smart investing

After dividends, I will buy more Zenith at 19

I think for GTCO 2022 audited results are not yet out, but using 2021 results fairvalue is #23.8.
Thanks bro

Some stocks I checked and my estimated fair values:
Sterlnbank - #2.6
Fidelitybk - #6.5 **slightly overvalued
FCMB - #6.3
Zenithbank - #28.5 **slightly overvalued
Vitafoam - #36
Ucap - #16
Nahco - #16.5
Wapco - #33
Dangsugar- #45

With d exception of a few most of these stocks distributed less than half thier EPS as dividends, keeping yield low.

How about gtbank? Thanks

Not all the time u book profits. I bought a little above 1million units of zenith during covid at 10.9 to 11.1. Am still holding it because unless something dramatic happens i don't see that price repeating it self. At least it provides a lot in dividends. Same as wapco bought at 9, ucap @ 5 based on pa emma advise. I prefer to hold on to shares bought @ low price especially when they pay dividends

So it is wrong to sell 900,000 units at 27 in 2021, buy it back at 19 in 2022

Do the maths and tell me how many units you would have if you reinvest all..

My point is, you need to be smart with money too..

Habert wigwe always sell access shares at high prices, buys them back at low prices cool

Taking profits is part of this business of making money. When you are on 100% profit in a stock, what are you waiting for

I bought Dangote CEM at 110 -119 range in 2020, received N16 dividend per share and then sold 90% in 2021 at N220.

I'll add to my position from 240.

never filled or submitted any e-dividend forms for geregu, yet i got my dividend. Bought through Morgan.

You don't need to fill e-dividend mandate forms for all stocks. One mandate per registrar is enough.

Risk free return of 13 to 15%. Good one.

With N10m, buying Zenith at N20 gives you 500,000 units assuming you pay off the commission outside the N10m.

Zenith gives N3 dividend. And is bound to repeat it at 2022 YE. This will be 13.5% dividend yield if you remove withholding taxes.

And once the wind of change goes in favour of the banks, you get capital appreciation on Zenith and still pocket dividends equivalent to the risk free return you mentioned.

Based!

Already averaging in on Zenith and GTCO. UBA looks good as well.

Bottomline, should we wait a little further to load? As in, do the chart suggest it will go further down?

You can see technically, its on its support zone. A man like me, this is where I continue to buy.

Note: I started buying GTB again at N17.8. Bought again today at N16.95.

Hello everyone, please do we have anyone who didn’t pay for verification fee because your spouse has a permanent resident permit? I have gone through this trend and I can’t find anyone in my shoes. All i I see is the blue card category. My spouse was once on blue card, but now on PR.
During my interview, I was asked not to pay verification fee, Infact I went back the next day with the money, I managed to enter with the disguise that I wanted to pay and they again verified and said, I don’t have to pay.
I just want to know if there is anyone here who had the same experience. It will really break my heart to be called back to make payment, because this would amount to starting the waiting period afresh. Response would be highly appreciated. Thank you

It depends. If you guys got married before he left Naija for the first time, then you don't need to..

if not, then there are chances VO might recall you. Keep your fingers crossed and go home, hoping for the best.

I hold PR too. My spouse and I paid verification fee.

Stay blessed and good luck!!

Good morning guys...I heard the cost of ticket from Nigeria to Germany is so high now.. when is the best time or were to buy ticket for those traveling next month..

If you are referring to prices displayed by wakanow (600k+) .. it's because they are using black market rates. Possibly due to current dollar scarcity..

Check via Kayak (https://www.kayak.com/) for better rates.

Please i missed my appointment Just saw the invitation Yesterday in my mail after have looked for IT in my inbox i could Not find IT so i concluded that May be IT was Not send.
Suprisely Yesterday i saw IT when checking using the headline.it seems IT was in my junk mail.a month late what can i do please.?

My suggestion would be 2 options;

1. Call the embassy yourself very early in the morning and explain what happened. Tell them you will take a screenshot and send via email to prove it went to a junk mail box. That you apologise for missing it

2. Your hubby should take responsibility and call embassy and explain as indicated in 1 above. He will apologise on your behalf and seek for new available date.

I believe they will consider. They are humans and anyone can make mistakes..

Wish you luck smiley

Under normal circumstances, No!

But, it is possible you already submitted insurance or your spouse had included you in his/ her policy.. nothing to bother in my opinion.. Embassy can reject a visa directly via mail.. wink

You think they dont know what they are doing? If they want, they can make it automatic from the moment you buy ur shares the registrars already have all details including accounts. But they wont.

I never filled or submitted any e-dividend forms, yet, Cutix credited my account in the last dividend payout. I bought through Morgan Capital grin

Hello House,
Please has anyone tried applying for US tourist visa from Germany? I am a second semester masters student in Germany and I would like to visit my aunt in the US by the end of the year?
What do you guys advice? What are the chances as a third country national applicant in Germany?
Thank you!

Yes you can apply, provided you can convince the VO that you will return to Deutschland and complete your studies.

Additionally, you need to demonstrate proof of funds to cover your trip. If your aunt is covering your expenses, you will need invitation letter stating that she will bankroll your expenses during your visit.

During my studies, I got a US visa for 1 year.
Note: I had a good paying student job at the time, and it searved as a tie to return.

Just my experience, nothing more. grin

Finally, the torturous journey of getting a German National Visa for about 2 years ends today!

To God be the Glory!

When the journey seems longer than usual it is not always an indication that you have a problem.

Let me give you a highlight of my journey on this family reunion visa process.

I applied for a family reunion visa on the 28th July, 2020.

Received a mail for interview on the 8th July, 2021.

Had my interview on the 5th of August, 2021.

Lawyer called on the 4th September, 2021.

Lawyer visited on the 9th September, 2021. The lawyer tried to manipulate me to pay him 200k as bribe but my spouse called his bluff because I have complete documents. No issues.

We waited for the foreign office to contact my spouse but they didn't. So, we chose to contact them. He wrote them a mail on the 2nd of November, 2021 informing them of our application.

They responded on the 4th of November, 2021 and requested him to submit some documents.

He submitted these documents on the 12th of November, 2021.

Since then, we waited and waited and waited!

After the endless wait we started calling them at the foreign office and sending mails. No response to mails and no picking of calls.

Around January, 2022 they started picking calls. They informed us that the woman in charge of our file was sick and she just resumed. So we should expect a response in two weeks.

After 3 weeks, we called again and we learnt that the woman's health had gone very bad and she had gone off work. And our file would be given to someone else to handle.

We waited and called again. No definite answer. We are working on it nooni!

Then, 1st of March, 2022 the foreign office sent my spouse a mail. They apologised profusely for delaying our application because of shortage of staff and covid.
They informed us that the positive response had been sent to the embassy in Nigeria and we should contact them henceforth.

We called the Nigerian embassy again and they told us to send a mail and attach the response we got from Germany to it. This was done on 10th of March, 2022.

On the 15th March, 2022. Approval Mail sent to me.

Dropped documents in person at the consulate on the 16th of March, 2022.

Documents received back today, 31st March, 2022 with my Visa stamped on my passport. Dem grant their mama 6 months! grin grin grin

Note: My A1 expired on the 24th of January, 2022. I prayed they shouldn't request another one and it was answered.

Germany here we come o!

I'm open to questions.

God's speed to others that are still on the waiting list.

Congratulations... edited cool
