Good Morning to all the Ogas and Madams in the house. Is there any change to stamp duty charge at the beginning of this year? If yes, what is the change please?

I have similar doubts as well
Investment / Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Justcul(m): 10:20am On Apr 02
Just a quick question house, Gtbank still deducts N50 stamp duty from my account with them. However, in other banks, these charges are not deducted from my account..

Anyone facing same/ similar issue?

The woes of the naira is one of the reasons most folks are in crypt0...
Looking at the naira/usdt chart, (taking away the spikes and recent cbn rally), even if you don't trade, keeping your income in usdt or stable coins means you'd have had at least 10% gain over the last 6 months due to devaluation.. with what Emiefele is doing, more of such are still on the way.

As far as we have such a significant difference between the office Naira exchange rate and the black market rate, the naira is guaranteed to decline... I made the decision not to keep savings in Naira once both rates started to diverge and its been a great one. When the rates come together, I'd rethink that decision.

Also, one can even decide to stake (flexible or locked-) their usdt which can give upto an additional 7% apy...

So in other words, you can be earning both ways without even trading.

Of course, having all your savings on an exchange comes with some risks too

Sustainability is very important. They had to pay N2.70k in order to justify the price difference with Zenith.

GTB is planning to adopt the Holdco structure with a plan to buy a pension fund management firm, asset management firm, fintech firm, Insurance company etc between now and 2022. With these expected acquisition will they be able to pay N3.00 dividend. How will they finance the acquisitions, will the bank use equity or debt?

UBA recentky had a 55% reduction in dividend, are we sure GTB won't do something similar in the future. Time will tell

One thing to note sir, Out of over 200 billion naira profit, GT is paying us 88+ billion.. There is still cash in retained earnings..

These acquisitions will make gtbank more profitable going forward.. Agbaje is a guru in this game. I am happy with his model and how he is already thinking about diversification..

I see him as the Elon Musk of Nigerian banking grin grin cheesy

Indeed, time will tell!

I can't agree less. Strategically, they will need to be conservatively efficient grin

I just love the model wink

NB. I'm biased towards this stock as it is my largest holding in NSE, and only behind TESLA globally grin

GTB can't pay N2.70k ooo.

Later in future Zenith will climb up to me GTB, or GTB will come down to Zenith level.

The N10 margin has now reduced to N5

Respect to you sir. But Gtb has proven you wrong on this one sir. We are all here to make money big time.. I am happy with Guaranty so far.

Looking at the monthly chart for banks, we are trading on support. This could go either way this month. Would it break below or inch up No one knows.. market would decide in the coming weeks. However, possibilities are there that the index will touch 448 again before retracting.
