Hi All. Pls do WES send tracking details by email when one pays them to send documents by courier? I paid them to send my certificates bu courier to OOU for verification but they have not sent me tracking details. Can I email them.

Hello House. Pls does WES send tracking no. when u pay for courier. I paid WES to send my certificate to OOU for vefification by courier since the initial one they sent by regular mail didn't get there. i have gotten an email that says they have sent it but am guessn I should be able to track it.

2nd Question: Pls is IELTS result for July 30 exams out? I have not gotten any email to that effect. if it is out, pls where can I check.

@Arcayo, my status has changed back to awaiting verification from institution so I guess they didn't get any verification from OOU yet.

That means they have received the first verification from your institution, you don't need to worry again, same thing happened to me about this time last year.
The school will still receive the one they sent through courier but WES won't wait for that one again.

Thanks Arcayo! But why didn't they just say that instead of making me pay for courier again. I suspect they got it even before they charged me for courier.

Hello All. Abeg help me review this issue o, cos am suspectn foul play by WES. After applying to WES I sent my degree certs which they confirmed receiving. later they notified me by email that copies of the certs have been sent to my school for verification and my app status was showing waiting for verification from institution. When I followed up in school to ask if they got the certs they said no. After over 2 months I mailed Wes to ask that the certs be sent again but this time by courier. They then sent me a bill for courier which I paid. But the curious thing is that the moment I paid the bill for courier my app status immediately changed to document received, review in progress. I don't know what document they received cos I know it's not my transcript. I am a bit confused here.

Yeah...that's typical of IQAS. I'm really glad they have continued to live up to expectations. Cheaper, faster, more accurate ECAs and better trained staff.

Hi Iphie25, do you think IQAS will accept my transcript if sent from my Canadian school since they have it, instead of my Naija Uni.

At dupyshoo and other gurus in the house. Abeg which other province apart from ontario do you think is worth applying to for PNP. Am here in Toronto, waiting to to finish my Masters and then apply to OINP under the masters stream, but I want to try other provinces as well. thanks!

Use a credit card if you have one. it's better. I used a credit card and it worked one time.

last question please, is a Nigerian Law School degree ranked in the CRS system as a "Professional Degree" or a Bachelor's Degree ?

At Etfash and all. my wife is in the same shoes as teewhy3, WES sent her Certificate to OOU for verification since June 1(the email notifying that her Cert has been sent came in June 1). She went to OOU to push it today and she was told they have not received it. It's 4 weeks now and we are surprised, could it still be in transit? What can we do? Can we tell WES to resend it or to dispense with the verificatn. Pls help. Thanks!

Hi iphie25, congrats. Nice one from IQAS. And I just paid for WES for my wife, although she is not a lawyer. But her degree was 5 years too, in agric. And that qualifies her as a professional animal scientist which is her major, cos she has the animal scientist cert too. Maybe we should have gone the IQAS way, mayb IQAS will evaluate it as FPD needed to practice as an Animal Scientist. but let's see what WES comes up with.

has he ever won a contract to supply agric produce? any document showing any transactn relating to the agric biz is good. all the invoice they used to pay him when he supplied people his produce nko. plus its not too late to register the biz as a biz name. It doesn't take long with cac unlike a company. even the land document may show that he bought the land for his agric biz. consider all these. Safe!

I was thinking of same too. Why stress urself with transcripts and WES evaluation if you are almost done with your masters? Also remember you can also apply via the Ontario PNP Masters route too.

So relax and let's see how things unfold. Maybe they may even award more points to Canadian university graduates in the express entry system.

Yes o. All the stress and expense isn't worth it if LLB isn't rated as Masters. I guess i will just chill. Yeah I know about the OINP. Will be applying to them too once am done. Thanks! still keep us posted about IQAS evaluation.

Please I just wan to ask if you can do affidavit of sponsorship by proxy and if you have a sponsor and co sponsor where do u have to do for both also is it compulsory one notarizes his certificates?

let your sponsors do a letter of sponsorship from wherever they are and notarize it there and send to you. No need to notarize your certificates.

@justicia I think you should try IQAS....if you can wait for 2weeks...lemme see what d result of my ECA with them will be...so that u dont spend money twice like I did.

WES evaluates LLB as 'Bachelor Degree' (Four Years) and BL as 'One Year of Professional Study.

Are u saying with LLB and BL transcripts and certs they won't still assess it as "masters or professional degree required for a licenced profession" please clarify. Thanks

Well I'm not even sure again if I you shouldn't include ur law school transcripts + certificates. Coz i only sent my LLB to WES and sometimes I cnt help but wonder if that was why they assessed it as a Bachelors degree. Well...I've decided to get a 2nd opinion b4 filing e-APR...so I paid IQAS but I didn't include my Law schl cert and I'm still wondering if it's needed. Maybe NittaJ and debeams (I think debeams said she sent her NLS transcripts to WES) can help us with this and what their WES. Assessment reads.

you mean they assessed ur LLB as a bachelors degree. That's serious.. That means they want nls transcript and cert too. NittaJ and debeams pls tell us what docs u submitted and how they assessed it. thanks

No. That's not true. You only sign a one yr lease or even less and the u pay monthly for the duration of the lease signed. That's it. but most landlords collect first and last month rent when u sign the lease and then u pay monthly for the months in-between. I am a tenant/student in Toronto. So this is first hand information. hope this helps.

Do u think it's advisable to wait to finish the program first in which case I wouldnthink need WES evaluation. or should I just proceed to do WES evaluation with my first degree. does masters carry more points ? you don't need to have a job, especially when u just graduated. and they don't need to transfer the money to you. just use their SoA

hi everyone. good to see new monikers everywhr. been a while I came to the forum. I guess it's true that the pressure of study and work in Canada can be overwhelming. but it's worth it though. Canada is a good country, it has its own issues, but it is a good country overall. I pray that God will answer all TRV awaitees. keep the struggle alive. package ur app properly. And pray well. then make sure you pay your fees b4 u come here. or at least pay 70 or 80 percent. Regards to hayqinsfx and graviton2. Na them oldies wey I remember be that. Safe!

You can apply to some schools for Masters. They may consider you even though ur cgpa does not meet the required standard. They actually look at other factors as well. So try. Na only application fee uve got to lose.
