As for your other question regarding data analyst, data engineering and data science, your surest and quickest way to break into the industry is by becoming a data analyst.

Data engineering and architecture requires hands-on, on site training. Data science on the other hand would take you over 2 years to gain competence. The learning curve is steep. A lot of mathematics, Statistics, programming... and then learning the technologies needed for the job.

The good thing is, as a data analyst, you stand a better chance of transitioning into any of the other fields.

My advice to people is, put in a concentrated 2 to 3 months. Master Excel, SQL and Tableau. This will put you in a good shape to secure a job as a data analyst


Once you're in the job, you invest the next 3-months to learn Big Data Analysis. After this, you can do whatever you like: Data science, Business Intelligence or Data Architecture.
