A kidnapper doesn't care how you pay the ransom, it's the kidnapped and his family that would be under pressure. What of ransome in dollars or other hard currency. The reduced activities of kidnappers is due to the elections; thier bosses probably told them to pipe low for now. My thoughts... |

APC is the ruling party APC is the president APC is the vice president APC is the CBN Governor APC is the Senate president APC is the Speaker
Why are we this foolish in this country. That a Party will be this terrible yet people will be there supporting mediocrity. Don't forget APC is a fusion of CPC and ACN . A part of the CPC block wants to play a smart one on ACN. And it is clear tinubu did not have much influence in this government cos he was shut out. |

AnyanwuSilas: As you cast your votes in the 2023 presidential elections, beware of setting a dangerous and potentially irreversible precedence of Muslim-Muslim ticket or a Northerner succeeding another Northerner. unfortunately the North are the deciding factor in this election as in previous elections and Peter obi is not favoured to get major votes there. Hence his presidency though desirable, it is unrealistic. Most the northern voters don't even know obi nor believe in an ibo presidency. It is what it is, no hard feelings just being practical. |

If buhari's die minutes policy affects his party and inevitably its presidential candidate tinubu, that gives an advantage to atiku. Do you get now. |

Atiku isn’t against the redesign till now, he’s complaining of hardship it has brought upon the people.
Tinubu isn’t against it either… so they both are on the same page, Tinubu was just quicker to be vocal about it. we need a fast thinker, someone that can see ahead |

Can't you guys see they want to retain power in the North, a more devilish act to cause chaos in the country. Obi is a better candidate from the South but sadly he lacks the structure and capacity to win yet. |

SmartPolician: I don't think Buhari has a candidate in this election, not even Atiku Abubukar.
I think what Buhari wants to do is to create a level playing field for all the contestants so that whoever emerges the winner will be the person most Nigerians want.
This, fellow Nigerians, is commendable! The only people who think otherwise are those who feel entitled to the presidency as if it's their birthright: Emilokan master and his urchins. Buhari contested 4 times for presidency before he won with the help of emilokan and now wants atiuku to succeed him.Tinubu is contesting for the first time. Who thinks more of the presidency as his birth right? |

This is democracy not military regime. That's why we have the judiciary to check the activities of the executive arm in which the president is the Head. The president's order is final, however in a situation where the issue being resolved is a matter of national security, then the supreme Court must be given that honour |

Childofaking: CBN is doing the right thing.
What i expect the scarcity of cash to achieve is that very soon, we begin to see payment systems for small businesses that will not require the use of cash. we will only need minimal cash, if bus drivers have payment system that will only require you to swipe a card on their device, you will not need to give them cash.
I expect supermarkets where you can make payments with your card to make more sales now than the open market where you must pay cash. since i dont have much cash i will only go to the market where i can pay with my card.
Let our Fintech people go to work now. Baba your head is there, price of things would crash soon, we only need to be patient. The only issue is cbn needs to ensure banks have better electronic channels because now it's hard to even do transfers; the channels are over loaded with traffic. Over to fintechs to take advantage. |

Let me share my experience with peace mass transit...it's an unforgettable one.
On the 14th day of December 2013, I had embarked on a journey from lagos to Abuja for the first time. As a fresh graduate my "aunt" promised me job and I was looking to marry " senator daughter ".
I have always thought of ABUJA as a big place like UK. I Booked my ticket for 4k and embarked on my journey with PMT.
On our way, we encountered heavy traffic due to redeem convention and Christmas runnings.
Na so our driver scratch another bus, small issue the 2 drivers started arguing on who was at fault. Before you know fight Don start meanwhile we were all inside the locked vehicle, this was past 11am.
Before we knew it, our driver Don beat the other bus driver ( the man na akpobi). Unknown that the other driver was in his hood, 2 sec eruku Don yakpa.
Next thing the other driver Don grab our bus steering and about to plunge all into a ditch while the agberos aided him. How I got out of the bus from the window with my back pack na mystery, with the agberos trying to hit us ; had to speak youruba to them and act like I'm one of them.
At that point I concluded Abuja wasn't for me, the omen was so bad the 2 drivers almost stabbed each other, I wanted to return to Lagos.
Eventually we were able to sort things out and properly face the awaiting traffic.
Finally got to abuja 11pm, with the driver speeding like we were heading to heaven.
Fast forward 9yrs later, I'm glad I didn't cancel the journey; I have my own company with over 20 staff and I think I'm doing fine for myself. Thanks to God for his grace.
I will never board PMT or allow my enemy travel with them even for a mile journey.
Happy sunday |

SunMusk: Let the money ease to become a legal tender on the 31st January but banks should collect it until March or April. This is how advance country do things. The running of monetary policy is in the hand of the cbn. Not the president, even US president didn't have a say when the FED make policy. But Nigeria is just corruption corruption. The should just focus on the fiscal policy of things through is ministers. This confusion should stop if Nigeria must get it right. I don't get, if banks can accept it then it's still a legal tender because every other person would accept it because they know bank would accept it. This country sef |

Extending the deadline would mess up the whole idea. People have already started rejecting old currency and the process is almost complete. Now telling people to continue accepting old currency is like taking us back to when the announcement of swap took place. Any extension should have been announced like a week ago. It's late now. |

Even if you are hungry why not take 1 or 2 and leave some for your fellow hungry people. It's a mentality thing and the politicians are definitely cashing out on it |
