BandA mostly estates and industrial areas...increase in tarrif for industrial areas= increase in prices of finished goods.

Tomorrow Nigerians will start asking why is dollar coming down and food prices going up yen yen yen.

Tinupoo is playing you the devil's advocate...give you with right hand, collect it back with left hand, nitoru olorun abi how Una talk am😂
How do you do your maths... these area were obviously having poorer electricity before which means they would use more diesel which is more expensive compared to increased power tariff so far the power is constant

oliverwrites:
I have supported most moves by this government but on this I do not agree. I personally don't mind paying as much as 200k per month for electricity ( I currently pay about 13k monthly and about 450k on generator ) however, you can't ask people to pay 225 when they don't get even up to 8 hours of electricity per day. It is madness and absolutely unacceptable.

Nigerians should not be made to suffer for the problem the corruption of the middle class brought upon us.

I hope people stand up against this nonsense.
what if the tariff hike leads to improved power supply. The minister of power claims we are owing gas company hence the epileptic power supply.

Politics / Re: Are You Willing To Pay N178,000 Monthly For A 24-hour Electricity Supply? by justmi1: 9:59pm On Apr 03
Yes I am, I spend 180k daily on diesel to run my factory. People complaining like there won't be metres. Average person don't consume much power as they have fewer appliances. An average man needs power for empowerment not leisure.

if eventually power becomes constant in this country the poor wont even afford. Apc is a curse!
there won't be poor people if there is constant power, small scale business would thrive. To most Nigerians having power supply is mainly for domestic use like for fan and TV and those things don't consume much power. The rich that have appliances are the ones using huge power. What a poor man needs power supply for his for his empowerment.

Career / Re: Ways You Can Avoid Being Used By Selfish Nigerian Employers by justmi1: 4:37pm On Apr 03
It is a 2 edged sword. I have worked as an employee, as a manager and now I run my business with about 40 workers. I can tell you an employee would feel used by his boss until he starts his own business and employ people. Most workers don't care about your business just as you feel employers over use thier staff. As for me I identify people that take my business seriously and prioritise them. The matter long, you need to have experienced both to understand better.

Politics / Re: Diesel Price Drops As Dangote Sells ₦‎1,225/Litre, Supplies Petrol May by justmi1: 11:57am On Apr 03
Many people lack economic knowledge and only open thier mouth to complain always. Whatever price it is , is not final. There is always room for more reduction. You expect them to start selling at 100 naira. Let's appreciate little gains. If it was 2k per litre we would still complain and buy so which is better? In any economy price increase always happen more quickly and marginally than when there is a decrease.

seborrhic:
It was pure speculation that was driving that alarming slide and because of it,people were withholding their dollars, even Nigerians abroad and those they sent dollars down here, believing it was heading to 2k and even beyond when they would then release it.
Many even did it at the risk of not getting the essentials it was sent for.
Also some bought to hoard for same reasons.
Seeing now that it's been falling and fearing their dollars is relatively losing value and may continue doing so,they are gradually releasing it,while still watching.
If it falls to say 1400 or even 1300,I foresee a panic dump of dollars into the market
If the fall can be sustained for 3 successive times, then there would be more drastic gain for the naira

But a typical Nigerian business man will carry profits of the early months and years to go and build houses instead of concentrating on expanding the business.

He wants to build house to impress people and buy luxury cars.

When the economy is harsh, he brings up the excuse of price of diesel and increases prices of his goods and services....
I agree with you except on the 3rd paragraph. Is he supposed to reduce price as cost of production increases?

In my own opinion; crypto is one of our problems I Nigeria. We trade coins and all online without actually creating value, product or services. So if we all trade who will grow the food and provide essential services abi na crypto we go chop hence our naira has no value. The real people working and have no idea of crypto are suffering while someone behind a system os cashing out by just clicking. Educate me if I'm wrong.

so of all the abundance of various foods in the world, your only option for bread is stone or paper? so if you are not eating bread then the next option for you is to start eating stone? Your life must be so wretched. God forbid.

Keep quiet mumu. Why do you sound like the bakers increase bread price for no reason, saying they would eat thier bread. Trust me people will still buy because all other food are equally expensive. So it's not only bakers that need to protest but your silly ass. And I'm bakery owner so I can't be wretched like your generation

But unpatriotic element are laughing even while suffering just to prove " we told you they would fail". Let's change our mentality. Truth is our politicians are bad but we are not better ourselves, we only lack opportunities to do worse. Everyone blames tinubu but make them minister, they would loot for thier generations.

They are joining hands to feed Tinubu a taste of what he served Jonathan.

Everything that went wrong under Jonathan was orchestrated by Tinubu.

He’s a joker.

And his supporters are bigger jokers

But he is enjoying in France; he is actually having it easy. It's the masses that are not.
Business / Re: Dangote Refinery To Import Crude Oil From The United States by justmi1: 8:42am On Jan 30
We all like to look at the negative side alone or let's say we are ignorant. Now dangote refinery is a private business and you don't expect it to depend on Nigeria alone for its crude oil; you need more than a source of raw material for production for various reasons. That doesn't mean he would be buying more of the crude from the USA; it could be for contingencies. And moreover this would make the federal government look more into increasing production of crude oil/ stop oil theft.
We need to understand that government are run by people not only a person. Even if our favorite man was president, do you expect him to be everywhere; he has to delegate and hope his team delivers and if not, he tries other people which we have seen his resolve to do. And we all have a role to play

Family / Re: How Do I Clear This Guilt Against My Dad? by justmi1: 1:28pm On Jan 23
I have similar story. I feel same way about my dad. I'm 34 (first born) and my dad was hardly around while growing up. Always travelling outside the country with nothing to show. He was absent, my mum had to struggle to take care of 4 boys alone. Even when I lost my immediate younger brother in 2007, he was not around. Now things are better but I feel no connections with him. A father's presence is important in the life of his children. No bond among us because we all had to live with people separately growing up. The matter long but it is well. I can't even settle down because I'm used to being by myself.

Same question I honestly want to find an answer to, I'm 40+ and I've never like drinking. I was pressured by peers during my university days which made me started to drink but deep down, I hated myself for tasting it. Well, later I just have to accept who I am. In fact, it got to a point, I was questioning if I was okay for not drinking when everyone else does...very odd, but I love the way I am now more...
Don't feel odd; the future would tell; health wise

I hope this insecurity is not a strategy they want to use to remove Wike?

I'm not Wike fan, but since some people think Abuja is their right, then I supported Wike appointment
I believe this scenario is possible. They use us for political games, we are all pawns that's why wike should not always make noise; by doing so he reveals his weakness. I remember what civil servants did to the minister of works for making them doing the right thing. He had to adjust. People who have been there and know the terrain would always want to prove that to you. It's quite unfortunate

I'm talking about the adverse effects this is having on Nigerians right here right now. People are paying x3 more for an item they bought a year ago? Why's this so? Fuel practically drives this country. High transportation means high cost of goods. The point is Nigeria exports next the nothing and the proceeds from the sales of crude will not do much to improve the worsening situation of the naira. Heck we import everything in this country 😵😵
