Based on the scenario u painted out there. i think ur friends will be silly to sale everything, leave his job in Nigeria and relocate to Malaysia, he can just take a holiday to Malaysia to size up situation else he will end up empty handed. |

renntin: I've thought of exit stamp thingy. i can't get my head around it. my permit is on a4 paper. the kpali and ticket is being paid for from home. if it were not for the urgency of the situation at home, i won't venture into such things. i'm having sleepless nights. which way out? My bro do it the normal way, don't do things u will later regret, not only exit stamp, entry stamp into the country u are now will be a problem as well, go for TC. |

renntin: Thanks justwise. What can you do when you got no job or money? the little i have is not enough for tc and ticket. But getting passport from Nigeria will cost u money as well and may get u in trouble. Have you tried to check how much travel certificate will cost u? If u got one from Nigeria how are going to explain to immigration that u left Nigeria without any exit stamp on ur passport? |

Xorcyst: @ Justwise i believe the dude is asking about his UK visa application as regards the account to be submitted. if it should be a new account, n i stated the duration of the acct i used, which i made known there, yes, i am refering to statements for getting a UK study visa . . .but the UK student visa rule stated that the money should be in an account for 28days and not more than one month after the 28days? |

Xorcyst: It has become common practice to give an account of at least 6 months old (im just telling it as i did), why is it a DOM account youre using tho? and r u trying to get entry to the UK or the US as i can see you r quoting dollars, a new account is however not necessary and rather suspicious Are u talking abt account for UK student visa or what? |

paris10: I deleted them because I don't want people like you talking too much. Its nice that most of you are aware of immigration matters, but I guarantee you that I know the law and would do everything possible to continue to observe it.
I knew posting my topic would be controversial but I like it that way. And as regards men of the uniform, don't bother, I might just be one of them!, lol
But seriously, I shouldn't have posted it but then I thought, 'would someone actually come out on this forum and say they're interested'? However, its not funny and I shouldn't have tried to see people's response. This is a very sensitive matter which shouldn't be discussed in any forum.Once again, I apologise.
Peace! You are right! |

Travel › Re: Can I Fly To Any Schengen Country Without Stopping At The Country Of Issuance? by justwise(mod): 8:30am On May 18, 2011 |
MrPrsdent: Exactly my point. He can always say he is continuing on to Portugal by road Vicjustice: No, that's not really the rule, a Schengen visa holder is allowed to use any of the participating states for arrival, but he'd need to explain to the immigration officers his reasons for arriving through their country and must have evidence of links with Portugal, and if he has no reasonable reason, the immigration officers reserve the rights to cancel the visa even though it was issued by the Portuguese authority. Ok guys, thanks for clarifying that. |
Travel › Re: Can I Fly To Any Schengen Country Without Stopping At The Country Of Issuance? by justwise(mod): 8:16am On May 18, 2011 |
MrPrsdent: You can go to any schengen country with that visa, but your itinerary should include Portugal .Just in case any questions arise. As Nigeria has no direct airlink with Portugal(am not too sure though),you have to pass through another schengen country to get to Portugal,so the rules shouldnt affect you that much but he doesn't want to go to Portugal, how will him go to other Schengen countries first without having Portuguese entry and exiting stamp on his passport? |
